@scottmelker Got burned by cryptopia a few years ago. Was only about $3k worth of **** coins but learned my lessons back then. Ever since then I don’t keep my anything on exchanges.

2/ smaller exchanges like Cryptopia go down, I will admit that my senses had become lulled. I truly believed that we were past the era of Tier 1 exchanges failing. Self custody is just as important today as it was in 2013, or 2009 for that matter.

@crypto_bitlord7 My only use 4 FTX was 100X degen gambling. Withdrew everything a few months b4 any of this **** went down. I was part of Cryptopia hack a few years back. Know how it feels and am still probably 12 months off receiving funds from that mess up. Rule num1 is use off-line storage

@scottmelker For years I used exchanges as my wallet. A few days before Cryptopia went down I had moved all my assets to Binance, I was really lucky. After that I used Deribit and Bybit which I believe are good exchanges. Yesterday I finally decided to move my assets to Exodus.
