    @SMarinoPhoto So here's another question...do you have any issues with Dropbox allowing so many downloads? I did this with a tutorial once and they blocked the downloads after about 20.

    @miciahbay @taylorklong Yes, I have a folder taxonomy, designed to mimic the file system hierarchy on my computer (in Dropbox, actually). Search works well across all folders, so no problems finding stuff. Anything I don't need I delete.

    @raleighthings @bl4met @cstross The issue being described sounds like Dropbox being blocked on the accountant’s end. It’s not like Dropbox is *that* much harder to use than OneDrive.

    @ultramagnus_tcv I think what’s happening is that, if the file is open in iA Writer, it doesn’t refresh itself even if there was an external sync, which is not an issue I saw with Dropbox.

    @emayfarris this happened to me once and logging out and quitting dropbox altogether, then restarting, seemed to fix it, but who knows.

    @KimStrandli So. Small update. I noticed that even CloudSync had some really slow download speeds for certain parts, mostly containing lots and lots of small files (old recovery attempt I hadn't cleaned up). That leads me to believe that this might just be a Dropbox issue and not Docker.

    @smathiaphoto I also have one of the more expensive Dropbox plans so that might make a difference. I haven’t had any issues yet and there have been a lot of downloads. 🤞

    @lynnskyi I did that with Dropbox last year when I had an issue. We started by mentions, then went to DM's, then on to email, where the issue was finally resolved.

    Hey @clipstudiopaint please fix whatever bug keeps making your app crash when working with Dropbox files on the iOS app I've just lost like an hour's worth of work again because everything will decide to hang randomly when I save. This isn't the first time this has happened

    @DropboxSupport I was using my account regularly, when suddenly, around 5:10 pm on 01/04/2022, my account started to inform me that it would be DISABLED. I use Login in two steps, by password and SMS. I tried to reset the password, but I couldn't.

    Now I COULD then choose to upload all of this to a service like Google Drive or Dropbox. The trouble is with those services is that they charge a huge monthly fee that just keeps getting bigger with the more data you require.

    @philbetts I would use Dropbox. Share the link to whoever needs / wants it. They can add their own pics / videos. Presumably similar set up could be had with a Google Drive. I would download any additional pics others uploaded because storage space may be issue, or future access perhaps.

    @Sifill_LDF @ryangrim The Op-Ed wrongly narrows the question from the start. It's not just a counting problem. It's voter registration, closing polling locations, dropbox restrictions, takeover of county election boards, etc.

    @95hannahlouise I totally understand this problem. I subscribed to Dropbox just so I had a place to offload photos on my phone, but can also access them on my phone when I want.

    @KaiBrach I know right. Dropbox set the tone early on with their “hold my drink, get this file in the cloud unimaginably fast” app performance. So today iCloud continues to feel slow. Slow to show progress and slow to finish the job.

    @DropboxSupport There is NO issue whatsoever... just a situation where when you call @Dropbox it's mission impossible. You can not reach @Dropbox just a waste of time. Btw., I am just looking for an alternative service.

    @jimray There wasn’t anything magical that P2P provided that made it better (or even “not much worse”) than a solution where you ran & sysadminned a server. Then we got to the SaaS world, where someone else ran the server for you (file server -> Dropbox, IRC server -> Slack)

    I’m sure it’s a coincidence, but since I cancelled Dropbox Premium a couple of days ago, I’ve had non-stop issues on my Mac. Including the user password apparently having changed… 🤔

    @ultramagnus_tcv It appears that the sync process with Google Drive differs a bit from that of Dropbox or iCloud, which iA Writer seems to have trouble digesting.
