@cordifucks This was absolutely on purpose. Nintendo can see how many copies of the game are active users. They can also generalize an estimate of how many users would be interested/able to buy these cards. Supply and demand was a calculated issue from the start. But the execution failed

The problem with VGMs from Nintendo games is that they don't have them listed in music streaming platform such as YT music, or Spotify. So either we have to download it individually or reaching out to Youtube VGM uploader to listen to it.

@tonberry19 People unfortunately did get the items. Seen tweets from others saying the item got shipped. This is just another case of Nintendo mismanaging a launch. They haven't publicly acknowledged it, but customer service from live chat have!

@ourdoreen @Singyamatokun A glitch meant some lucky people managed to get some from their wishlist yesterday, and nintendo are honouring purchases. Staff were responding saying they will be going on sale properly and if it's in your wishlist you'll be notified. The whole thing is a mess, tho, tbh.

I had two sets of Switch controllers that were having problems, but it was 2020 and Nintendo's repair place was closed, so I got a third set with newer colours I liked. One of those isn't responding now. Whoops!

@byAnthonyScott @NintendoAmerica When I went to pick up, the guy at the curbside said they got hit with over 300 orders all at once that morning because the other sales. Only about 15 Sanrio packs were sold in the first 2 hours because of the app and webpage crash at my local store

@byAnthonyScott @NintendoAmerica The one retailer was a huge problem. Also the same retailer released all their regular sales at the same time. Making the app say it was sold out when it wasn’t. Thankfully the guy at the store told me just to spam the app hard till it went through. They had like 60+ still

The whole "seal of quality" (Nintendo's too) was branding to say that somebody actually vetted them to make sure that they're at least reasonably playable… Atari 2600 got so much garbage that many games failed to meet even that criteria which led to the 1983 crash (ouch).
