Drew has to know better. Its no problem if he disagrees with kneeling during the anthem....its when he brought up "ancestors" . thats why a lot of players are going at him.

Well when we peacefully protest, kneeled, sat during the anthem, and didn’t say a pledge to your white ameriKKKa y’all had an issue with that too...we woke up black and y’all had an issue

@remarkable1979 @JazzyFiyah @drewbrees My problem with that is he’s taking what Kaep did completely out of context. He’s pushing a rhetoric that was started by people that are against the BLM movement. I’m curious to hear his thoughts on Tim Tebow kneeling for the anthem, because he did the same but with prayer.

The error Drew Brees makes is that it’s been clear from the get-go that Kaep’s gesture — taking a knee — was specifically chosen so that it wouldn’t dishonor the flag or the anthem, but would call attention to police violence toward black Americans. Ignoring that is ignorant.

it’s really sad that kaep ain’t in the NFL too cause homeboy was better than a good amount of quarterbacks in the league now, n his kneeling during the anthem was too ****** polarizing for a cause that is to this day an issue that any country shouldn’t have.

Acknowledging what’s wrong with this country and trying to fix it is MORE American than worshiping the flag and the national anthem.

@CM_Writer @blueshark121 @E_Reid35 @WirthTM I also believe that if your employer has an issue with you doing something on the clock that you have got to abide by it. I didn't have an issue with kneeling during the anthem.

@PromoteDeez @jemelehill I agreee. Doesn't mean Brees believes it doesn't. Kaepernick used the flag and national anthem to make it known about the racial issues in this country.

@MylesLGarrett @MylesLGarrett I’m a fan! I am with you in the majority of what is in this post just not the kappernick part. I stand with his cause but the platform he chose to do it no. Flag and Anthem you don’t disrespect soldiers came home broken and in flag draped boxes he is a disgrace

Anyone who still thinks that it’s offensive to take a knee during the national anthem is not understanding (nor cares to) the real issues at hand here They are lost

It's doesn't matter how black people protest...you had a problem when players were peacefully protesting on NFL sidelines during the National Anthem. So it is what it is.

Once again I am not a fan of the riots, NOT AT ALL Hate cannot drive out hate. Nonetheless, if you are someone who had issues with Kap kneeling during the anthem ...people really don’t care what you have to say. Your voice has lost influence.

@FLOTUS Colin Kaepernick was banished from the NFL for kneeling for the national anthem and your husband was one of the biggest name callers and had @VP leave a game where players kneeled. He had good words for white supremists at Charlottesville. Your husband is part of the problem.

@vuitherit @bclark0084 @Mikel_Jollett You know he consulted with an active service member and suggested to knee as opposed to sitting for the anthem. He did not find it disrespectful. Someone WHO SERVED and yet your opinion is wrong. Lol Check the facts bro

@writtenbyIvana @jemelehill I never said it was disrespected at all. Kaepernick used his profile as a player during the national anthem to make a point about racial injustice. He used that as a platform. I have no issue with that
