@nahhChad @cminnis215 @Kazhooulte1 @TheRoot It was respectful. He didn't curse. He didn't scream. He kneeled quietly to open a discussion on a serious issue. What you guys did in response was disrespectful. Not only to the issues, and the quiet show of solidarity, but to the ideals of the very anthem you rallied behind.

@toddygoody3913 What's it matter they are aboriginal or not. it is anyone's right to sing or not to sing the national anthem.the majority of players and supporters I think have no issue with it, and it's just the media looking for angles to create non exsistant headlines. Nice work @9_Moley 👎

This is a completely disingenuous take, and I've seen a lot of them. I didn't like what LeBron did/didn't say on the Chinese issue. But every sporting event there are always people who scream "let's go (insert team name here)" at the end of the anthem. But narrative.

@SethShruti I'm in agreement as well as disagreement. Agree that one must stand when national anthem is being played Disagree that it needs to be played in theatres just before the movie starts. SC once again couldn't attack the key issue.

@kevinyowyeh When it blew up at Origin @NRL thinks we should be so grateful that an acknowledgement is televised, not mention it’s total inappropriateness. It’s wrong without the blunders & why didn’t they just let him start again rather than going to the anthem - that is a whole other issue!

@StevieJukeJoint I have no issue with "thy sons". I still sing it myself and always will. What I do have an issue with is not standing for the national anthem, regardless of the words.

It's great watching films continuously for 8 hours but this standing up for 10 long, boring minutes to a silly old National Anthem really stinks. If soldiers r stupid to stand at the LOC & die for a salary & a stupid medal that's their problem.
