@themancalledroy @BlizzardCS You clearly have no clue of how IT works either. Their planning is also what I mentioned. They planned to start maintenance at 7am instead of 3am which would have rendered all these problems mute. Thanks for your anger though.

@dtrek185 @BlizzardCS Because things can go wrong when applying patches. They give an estimate based on what they expect, and then update it something causes a problem. Take a deep breath my man, you'll be fine without WoW for one day.

(@MuTuka1) reported
@Nekkerlord @JDH0986 @BlizzardCS Maybe there is something about union to it, but normally the extra pay for the employees pales in comparison to the money lost while the service is offline (I cant affirm this is the case for WoW but in many other systems thats the case)

@50TigerTd @BlizzardCS One of the issues with overnight releases of this size requiring all teams to be doing a deployment is it does get expensive in the state of Califormia. Having all infra, cloud, engineers + incident commanders & change managements staff all working after hours gets mega expensive

@austin5681 @MaxMili55 @BlizzardCS You pay a monthly subscription. Yet freak out for a 1 day upgrade.... Yes. That is entitled. No, calling you out for that doesn't make us boot lickers to Blizzard. If they just quickly pushed the patch and let you log in, you would complain even harder if there was a glitch.

Hey @BlizzardCS are your servers ready for the mass login attempts they are about to receive if/when you finish the content patch? It's prime time for raids/vault openings!

@legalize420yay @BlizzardCS How dare blizzard inconvenience me instead of the people who play at night who will complain about the same thing I’m complaining about, because I’m more important. How dare they not know what issues their maintenance will bring. That’s what you sound like.

@John_Gonzalez66 @BlizzardCS Its not so much PTR per say as they have gathered enough info from PTR to proceed with the release, but its the deployment to production itself, sometimes things don't go as planned causing server issues, DB performance issues etc. PTR is a fairly sanitized environment

@BlizzardCS May be better to schedule rolling migrations next time. You run into a system and human capacity issue especially when things go south.

@BlizzardCS All you anxious people complaining about the time delay are the same people that are gonna go on the forums and complain about everything that's broken. Good lord go watch Stranger Things or something.

@BlizzardCS More problems with a patch then when you launch the game...

@WAquiare @BlizzardCS And I bet the latrine in my garrison will STILL be broken and *****.... Maintenance my foot!
-
Jason
(@Nexussfire) reported
@BlizzardCS Don't hold back with the time extensions. Might as well just make it the whole day. Apology not accepted however. Full maintenance / service disruption days like this should be credited to peoples accounts. I never understood why they aren't. Do something about that maybe.

@John_Gonzalez66 @MelSizeUrOrder @BlizzardCS It probably an issue with the supply chain, and oil embargos, and student debt. 🙄
