Then I get this stupid form letter that says nothing but had to come in a secure portal. It only serves to remind my how poorly this entire situation from beginning to now was handled by @etrade.

I've been complaining since 2016 about how they restrict setting up trades pre open but after a rocky last few years they solved that problem too.

Despite providing valid phone number no code is sent, just get "Unable to use your phone to verify your identify." Agent acknowledge this is known issue

Getting an outrageous margin call without any notification is horrible customer service. 30 year customer now looking for another platform.
