@zephyr757 @hbomax I didn't have any issues watching, so was surprised to see this as news. There were dark scenes, yes, but I could still see everything. Didn't seem remotely as dark as the scenes from GoT that caused outrage. You need to apologize to yourself for a crap viewing situation.

@HBOMaxHelp I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Signed in and out. And checked for updates. My Xbox is fine. My internet is fine because I did cast HBO max to my tv and it worked perfectly. It’s only on my Xbox that’s the issue

@HBOMaxHelp #HOTD #houseofthedragon Bad decision. Dark is one thing, being unable to tell what the heck is happening is a whole nother level of hell we don't need. TERRIBLE in GoT S8E3, & BAD in HotD S1E7. Do better. Don't let these "creative decisions" continue. Do better @HBO.

@345triangle Look at my 2 photos. The Verge is saying the difference is because streaming services compress videos and data is lost. Both my devices are on the same network! There is a real issue here, and blaming the episode director is not gonna make @hbomax fix their app!

@zephyr757 @hbomax I'm glad I've heard about the problems before wasting my time watching this. It's pretentious to say bad lighting was a artistic choice. Chris Nolan also does this with sound mixing. It's a **** move.

@HBOMaxHelp I'm about to quit #HouseOfTheDragon. The series is just too dark to see, even after adjusting TV, lights, blocking windows. The series has really been awful in this regard, but episode 7 has me ready to quit. This is not creative video - this is an audio book.

@HBOMaxHelp @zephyr757 @HBOMaxHelp you do not fully understand the problem. Even with a high quality HDR setup calibrated correctly and a dark room, you cannot watch this because of the extreme compression used by Xfinity.
