@HBOMaxHelp the updated AppleTV app is unusable. Scrubbing to find a spot in a movie is just broken and Siri commands don’t seem to work. The previous version was so much better.

@bwalling @chancerubbage @HBOMaxHelp Nope, I have never encountered this problem. I had a problem with it getting stuck on a load screen but simply closing the app and reopening it would fix it. I never had to uninstall it.

@hbomax The new AppleTV app is TOTALLY broken. Revert the player back to Apple standards like the previous version. This app is aggravating and makes the experience an experiment in bad UX.

@mikbre @hbomax @AppleTV It didn't break just the new appleTV remote. It broke ALL appleTV remotes. They abandoned the perfectly fine and good built-in video player for a custom one of their own design, and it simply DOES NOT WORK. I can't believe it even though through Apple cert and into the wild.

@HBOMaxHelp Revert this tvOS update. I have never seen an app update itself to such a bad state. The scrubbing is totally broken, there is no way to skip back using left or right on the remote. Why would you reimplement something provided for free in the OS APIs? So stupid.

@HBOMaxHelp whatever was done to the HBO #AppleTV app needs to be undone. Basic functionality is completely broken, can’t even skip/rewind, Siri commands don’t work, and it’s just plain glitchy.
