Hostgator Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • YoungbloodJoe Joe Youngblood - SEO, Futurology, AI, Marketing (@YoungbloodJoe) reported

Rocketship SEO Plugin: We have identified a memory handling issue with our plugin that appears to largely impact Yoast users on Bluehost (though not HostGator which is the same company). in 100% of cases we've investigated the issue goes away in a few hours as memory used subsides. You might get an error immediately after activating the plugin that says there has been a critical error on the site. Your site and Admin area are fine, this is the memory issue manifesting itself. You might also get a report emailed by WordPress saying the issue was caused by @Yoast using too much memory, but it is our plugin causing the problem not Yoast. Our best guess at the moment is that this error is caused by our compatibility settings with Yoast which is performed automatically upon install and activation. We are looking at making this process more efficient and improving our compatibility so sites in shared environments like Bluehost do not encounter this issue.

  • PeterVadala CENSORED BY T!!TTER (@PeterVadala) reported

@HostGator #SSL errors for multiple sites. Please get to the bottom of it. All we did was deactivate some outdated plugins.

  • coltswalker coltswalker (@coltswalker) reported

HostGator and Network Solutions, both owned by Newfold Digital, are guilty of hostile censorship. Users report struggling to regain access to their sites after wrongful suspensions, with slow, unhelpful customer support failing to provide clear reasons for the lockout.

Hosting a website shouldn’t cost a fortune. With @hostgator, you get: Unlimited storage & bandwidth Free domain & SSL certificate 24/7 support Starting at just $2.95/month

@HostGator I've been on the phone with your so called Customer Support. Straight useless. It would probably help if they spoke true American language, but like every other call center - your **** is all outsourced!

  • MickSCDem SC Dem (@MickSCDem) reported

@HGSupport Once again, my dedicated server is down. Last time my sites were down for 4 days. I have yet to receive a reply from escalated support. Please fix this now.

@BrunnooPacheco @HostGator Very Slow... The customer portal are down...

@BigRock @hostgatorindia X HostGator → BigRock migration. Same email on both platforms = migration failed. Domains moved there, hosting stayed here. Now they want me to hand over hosting directly to clients. Not acceptable. Indian businesses deserve better service standards.

  • Stan_VeeS Stan Vee (@Stan_VeeS) reported

@FakeUncleNemo @zrkann I got out of @HostGator about 10 yrs ago. They sabotaged one of my servers and asked $250 for "emergency upgrade". Funny enough, the support engineer who I was on the phone with, fixed it without it but had to switch it off again so they could keep the scam going 🤡

  • fastcowhosting FastCow.com (@fastcowhosting) reported

@HGSupport Ouch, looks like we hit a nerve. Maybe if you guys replied to him quicker like you tweeted us instead of having him cry for help for 7 days might do the trick? Just 2 cents from us ;)

  • kkabsherwrites Kimberly K Absher (@kkabsherwrites) reported

@HostGator It’s super straightforward. Cancel the Titan email, make sure it doesn’t auto-renew and REFUND the charge.

  • xanderpanderman xander the cat (@xanderpanderman) reported

@DaveyJ_ @TheKingOfStank dude, especially with "managed" platforms... moved a clients domain over to hostgator and it was laughable. wouldn't let me update to my own name servers w/o going through support, and they had the PTR records all messed up so emails were getting flagged nonsense i tell you

  • easpem Eduardo Aspe M. (@easpem) reported
