I think you've done really well. As someone who hosts all my clients on Namecheap, yesterday was absolute chaos for me. :D Lots of phone calls. Woke up this morning and things were fixed. Thank you very much. I still trust Namecheap and I do have something that needs to be said: One of our customers is on wix, but their domain name is on Namecheap. To the people who were talking about hosting across platforms, their website lost connection. The more you split up your hosting information, the more problems can happen in a system. Let's say you host your site on Namecheap and your domain name is on Hostgator. If either go down for an outage like this, you still have the problem, there are just multiple risks. More potential points of failure.

@DanMicovic @HostGator @HGSupport I have a client’s site that’s been down since Sunday night and our web team has received nothing other than the same copy/paste response I’ve seen support using on here and there’s no telling how many sales they’re losing.

At 21 I started a web hosting company for under $500. - rented a server from HostGator - studied their "get your first 1,000 customers" ebook like scripture - pitched people in forums Shocker: nobody wanted web hosting from a college kid. So I changed the offer. I started selling websites instead. New website owners have the problem of "Where do I host this?" I would bundle the hosting as part of the website build in exchange for putting their credit card on file for next year. I didn't realize it at the time, but this is when I learned about the 'Front Doors' and 'Back Doors'. It's easy to fool yourself when researching a business or competitor when all you can see if their 'Front Door'. The offer on your competitor's website may look too good to be true and you may wonder how can they possibly do that? They have a 'Back Door' offer that must offset it and then some. You usually can't see it from the outside.
