Follow Me On GETTR Instead. I’m @AmericasMansMan (@PeterVadala) reportedI asked support to escalate it after an hour and a half where they attempted to fix it but couldn’t, and took over an hour to reset the server after which it promptly crashed again. @hostgator

Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@Hostgator @HGSupport We are entering Week 2 without access to revenue producing websites and still no updates from "escalated support team". This is obviously beyond HG scope as no other hosts are still struggling with this issue. Unacceptable.

John Peterson (@johnpetersontx) reported@YoungbloodJoe @HostGator I know how to build and configure a Linux server from the kernel on up. I'm very comfortable with the terminal and how a VPS works, however, I would never put a client on a VPS unless they had an in-house IT person or an IT budget to keep up with constant maintenance.

We have successfully applied a critical cPanel security patch to your server. No action is required on your part.What HappenedOn April 28, 2026, cPanel's security team disclosed a critical authentication vulnerability affecting cPanel & WHM. As soon as we received notice of this vulnerability and the corresponding patch, our team moved swiftly to apply the update.

I was on a business plan and wiped all old websites not in use and cut down on email accounts and will be able to downgrade to a hatchling account. Their increase turn into savings for me
