What’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my doctor but HostGator just gives me the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?

@Hostgator over 36 hours and no email or update, sites still down. Rep this morning cannot confirm who is or isn't on the list, as frontline reps have no access to the engineering team.

And then @hostgator does this thing where they pretend to fix the problem, @newfoldDigital- but they send you to a tech person who can’t fix it I spent hours on the phone — something about optimizing the site. Clearly … not the answer. Let’s not forget when the tech people pick up the phone to clock in and ignore you for an hour… who the heck runs Newfold Digital

@HostGator @HGSupport Your support lied to sell me your Nvme vps, (I have chat evidence) which could not support my legacy apps after I made payments totaling $883. I've been trying to receive refunds since Feb 10 without success. Your support has been horrible and of little use

Based on recent reviews and reports (as of 2026), common issues with BigRock hosting in India include migration glitches from HostGator (e.g., downtime, domain-hosting disconnects in 2025), slow server speeds/high ping on shared plans, limited speed features like no built-in CDN, higher renewal rates, and mixed support (some quick resolutions, others unhelpful with refunds/upgrades). Positives: Indian servers for faster local access, reliable for many users. Check Trustpilot for latest feedback before deciding.

  • mettersoy
    Mehmet (@mettersoy) reported

HostGator support eventually confirmed it: “All outbound connections are blocked.” Yes. The server could not make outbound HTTPS requests (port 443). If you’re a dev, you already know: That breaks EVERYTHING.

  • JoanTReynolds

@HostGator I cannot login to my hostgator account. Support is now useless.

  • geetu11

@BigRock @hostgatorindia Can someone call me on my registered mobile no. pls? Every week our emails are down and your team takes one whole day to rectify the problem. When it was hostgator, we never faced this issue. What is that you guys are doing differently that we have to suffer every week!!??

  • HGSupport
    HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported

@dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!
