Currently on phone w /customer service. It’s a full-on “Who’s on First” skit. @HostGator switched files in my cpanel last night, after a call to customer support. As a result, 2 websites went down. Today: we need to charge you $ for a website restore. Can’t make this up. 2/

Um crying like a lil *****!! After 2 years of late nights developing creating and publishing my websites someone hack my HostGator server and destroy all my work. I was cheap and didn't pay the millions of dollars they ask 😔 FML in the blink of and eye. **** HostGator

@JajjaNadia @HostGator It is painful indeed. We are in the process of figuring our next steps. In the interim, we are pained to have to turn to social for help. But that seems to be the only way to restore some function. It’s tough running a digital business in 2021. We r back up and running!

The absurdity of the situation is this: I called @Hostgator for a totally DIFFERENT problem w/a website that was at least working - albeit needed some change. They created a totally NEW problem for my two other websites that now needs to be fixed. 3/

So, this will be second time I am about to leave GoDaddy, First time they tried to get much more money from me, I was at Hostgator first, though it was better but then few issues, now I have 2 websites at GoDaddy and lose my money, but have no options They reply you in hours

@HGSupport An “escalation” has already been performed. Doesn’t make any of this better. When a client’s business goes down, esp when they’ve spent years building it up, it can feel like an eternity to have to “wait” for a fix. Communicating via email to fix prob of this magnitude is not ok.

💥WEBSITE ISSUE💥 Our apologies to all our visitors. Escalated Tech support at @HostGator emailed to say they worked on an issue that turned out to completely destroy the look, feel and navigation of our website. Hopefully they will priotise and correct the mess asap. @HGSupport
