I cannot believe I am arguing with @HostGator billing. I bought 3yrs of service, used 5 months, and I want the remaining cost for 31 months of service, that I won't be using, and they say it's not possible Don't worry @HostGator, maybe 2024 will be the year you do better

@SooMinNYC Ouch. Your website is hosted in Luxembourg from what I can see. Some company there. Idk much about them. I would move it to HostGator in the US if possible. Super reliable and great customer support. They allow adult content as long as it’s legal which yours most likely is.

@HGSupport I have 2 servers from HostGator, one of them from 2015, I purchase dedicated server to upgrade my work, but it is very slow, and the old server VPS is better. if HostGator continues for bad support I'm sure all customers will move to AWS.

@HGSupport Thanks for responding, I got onto your helpline and a very helpful man sorted the problem for me. It was something to do with the SSL certification. All sites now working.

@askwpgirl I was at HostGator when BlueHost fired everyone and outsourced their support to Phoenix. They used to be really good but they went downhill fast and hard.

@Gabriels_Daddy_ Buddy, Reserve Bank of India has banned debit & credit cards payments outside India. There is no way I can pay $24 for my website domain renewal to Hostgator USA. If you pay $24 for my domain renewal by US bank cheque or money order that will be real help

@cybernaira I haven't had a website in a few years---Namecheap didn't justify its upsold re-up cost after a 3-year trial. The price increase would have recouped and offset the 3 year discount. HostGator had excellent customer follow up with live phone calls to see how you're doing.

Over the weekend there was an SSL issue on the Blue Fish Apartment that I wasn't aware of that affected visiting the site. Turns out this was due to a setting I left on when I was still with Hostgator. I flipped it back to default and resolved the issue.

@HostGator your chat support is absolute trash at the moment I was ghost-charged without authorization while trying to cancel SiteLock (which you’re lucky I’m too tech-stupid to realize you upsold me on TWICE) And your chat agent can’t be bothered to respond in less than 4 mins

@HGSupport you have the worst technical support agent! He claimed his name is Roi. I called on 1/5/2023 around 8:30pm PST. He doesn’t understand the question at all and keep on asking the same questions over and over again, refused to transfer me to anyone else, and went silent.
