@HostGator @WamanyaPious Not when you make changes that totally disrupt 20 years of workflow & you don't warn or give your customers a choice or a say in the matter. You've forever lost my biz cuz you just don't do that if you like your customers. So NO this is the shittiest deal I've ever gotten from an IT provider. Even gmail gives their customers & choice & plenty of warning. You screwed up & hope it costs you dearly because this is NOT something you do to a customer base without repercussions & pissed off customers. You're response here just made it worse - showing that you don't give a ****. Basically I read it this way. "Tough if you don't like it - bugger off - you don't have control over what the interface will do & what it will look like - so go elsewhere because we decide what our customers get & we don't let pissed off customers have a say!

@HGSupport Or if you can recreate the current server with the latest OS and CPANEL and restore the service, I will renew the server. We have been in business with you for over ten years, paying heavily and you can't give us our data After your system collapse??

@Codie_Sanchez I live in the middle of nowhere, I own a coffeehouse, I consult, I am running 12 agents currently one of which I had create a local newspaper, I gave it log ins to hostgator had it build a website, write the stories, do the research, email the people from the articles, and then uploaded it all and went live. We're only three days into that so nothing of substance is happening, but how cool, eventually sell ads, and help the community. That's just the first I have doing that but now imagine running any number of affiliate sites, blogs, scraper extraordinaire there's just so much to be doing right now. No one around me knows any of this stuff is happening yet. What an opportunity. Could go for days but you're 1000% right, I wish I was surrounded by more me types, but I will take the advantage of having no less than 5 counties near me where I may be the most educated on the subject.

@HGSupport @HostGator week 2 of server being down and zero access to my sites or emails. Escalated support has stopped responding, no updates on open tickets and zero responses from support here. Has @HostGator given up?

  • DanMicovic
    Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported

At this point this is a @Hostgator issue exclusively, all other hosts have resolved their issues. There is a good chance that all of these sites have been wiped from their servers and are looking for an explanation that limits their liability. I have little hope that the sites will be restored. @HGSupport

Based on recent reviews and reports (as of 2026), common issues with BigRock hosting in India include migration glitches from HostGator (e.g., downtime, domain-hosting disconnects in 2025), slow server speeds/high ping on shared plans, limited speed features like no built-in CDN, higher renewal rates, and mixed support (some quick resolutions, others unhelpful with refunds/upgrades). Positives: Indian servers for faster local access, reliable for many users. Check Trustpilot for latest feedback before deciding.

I think you've done really well. As someone who hosts all my clients on Namecheap, yesterday was absolute chaos for me. :D Lots of phone calls. Woke up this morning and things were fixed. Thank you very much. I still trust Namecheap and I do have something that needs to be said: One of our customers is on wix, but their domain name is on Namecheap. To the people who were talking about hosting across platforms, their website lost connection. The more you split up your hosting information, the more problems can happen in a system. Let's say you host your site on Namecheap and your domain name is on Hostgator. If either go down for an outage like this, you still have the problem, there are just multiple risks. More potential points of failure.

@HostGator @NewfoldDigital The overarching point is after 15 years and me choosing multiple years of service from you why is it that you simply cannot prorate the refund on unused time?

  • ZSchneider76107

@voytekbereza @HostGator Sounds like a deployment or script loading issue. This is where stable infrastructure and proper server setup really make a difference.

@YoungbloodJoe @HostGator I know how to build and configure a Linux server from the kernel on up. I'm very comfortable with the terminal and how a VPS works, however, I would never put a client on a VPS unless they had an in-house IT person or an IT budget to keep up with constant maintenance.

@HostGator is the WORST! Refuses to honor links (says file doesn't exist). More than 2x expensive as @IONOS. Loses posts, media and just generally SUCKS! Customer Service is AWFUL! I'm like IONOS they have a partner who will back up your file for an expensive fee. Otherwise, they just delete your stuff and you have no option if you haven't backed it up yourself. I paid to restore a backup and didn't get half of what they deleted. The reason I know I didn't delete it myself is because it's not in the trash folder. HOSTGATOR DELETED and it's my opinion that they did it intentionally so that they could charge me for a restore and then they didn't really restore much of anything. I lost a lot of memories.

The whole automated stuff doesn't always cut it. Especially when it comes to customer service. I don't want to chat or speak with a bot. Connect me to a human. Blood and flesh. Reason I will always praise @HostGator. Those guys have one of the most responsive customer relations services out there, and no, this is not a PR.

@HostGator Pls, I can't see you solving this problem, it happened 3weeks ago, and you asked us to pay thousands of dollars and we paid. Now you are engaging us with tete talks that will certainly go no where, delay tactics so the money will expire without serving it's purpose

I asked support to escalate it after an hour and a half where they attempted to fix it but couldn’t, and took over an hour to reset the server after which it promptly crashed again. @hostgator

Looks like @HostGator, @HGSupport's website installer is down (both attempting Wordpress install and blank site)? Freezing up on my account, can't proceed. Browser refreshes and multiple attempts don't work. Ugh - technology.
