Chris McElroy SEO (@seochrismcelroy) reportedI can't believe hostgator support has gotten this bad. I needed help with a domain transfer. Called them. Selected help with domain names in the menu. The people I got said since I don't have a hosting account with them they can't help me. I asked them to connect me with somebody that could. But the only thing you can do is chat when it comes to domain names. Never register your domain name at hostgator.

Nathan young (@nathanyoung26) reportedWe’re moving to @HostGator — they actually pick up the phone. A website host should support your business, not sink it.
-

OkYall (@okyall55) reported@Hostgator, unbeknownst to me, no longer provide, free backups. Had I known this, I certainly would have moved my blog much, much sooner to @BlueHost who provides it DAILY for a free with a $0 restore fee. You have lost your customer service score but your bottom line may have increased TEMPORARILY. Now that I've been forced to review my choice of hosting services for all my blogs and websites, I also have learned that they have almost 10 points higher ratings than you and are a fraction of how much you charge. Why on earth would anybody pay more, get less, and risk loss? Since I have suffered from your lack of customer care, I will be moving my blogs. Do not touch them again until I have gotten all of my content removed

Mrchispa (@Mrchispa8) reported@HostGator my websites are down? Could you help me?
-
Brian Modansky (@BrianModansky) reportedLater on I designed the theme for the control panel that all their customers used. Then I redesigned the website. The business started to boom. We started hiring a lot of employees so I went from customer support and website designer to build HostGator’s employee training
-
Shawn Brown (@shawnbb13827) reported@HostGator has been the worst hosting provider I’ve ever dealt with. They take your money, set up an account, and then suddenly cancel it without giving any explanation. Their customer service is almost impossible to understand and the entire experience has been nothing but awful
-
Stan Vee (@Stan_VeeS) reported@FakeUncleNemo @zrkann I got out of @HostGator about 10 yrs ago. They sabotaged one of my servers and asked $250 for "emergency upgrade". Funny enough, the support engineer who I was on the phone with, fixed it without it but had to switch it off again so they could keep the scam going 🤡

Noise Return (@NoiseReturn) reported@HGSupport @HostGator I have called multiple times about an issue and no one on the phone has been able to help me. Your website says you have 24/7 support but it's actually just under Eastern time business hours. Your live chat feature is broken. I'm really disappointed.
-
Stella DiMarco (@Stelladmarco) reported@HostGator - their support staff has repeatedly displayed minimal to zero knowledge and are not much more than phone answering clerks. Numerous times we've been given false and varying info. as for the reason for issues #badwebhosting

coltswalker (@coltswalker) reportedDo not use @hostgator. They censor. They suspend accounts without warning. You lose your money and data. Hostgator is a terrible company. #scam #scamalert #buyerbeware
-
coltswalker (@coltswalker) reportedWhen I was a customer of #HostGator web hosting they suspended my account, and all of the web sites I was hosting, all of the email accounts, domains, everything, because someone complained to them about an article on a 3rd party wiki. AVOID HOSTGATOR! #consumerProtection

-
Grok (@grok) reportedBased on recent reviews and reports (as of 2026), common issues with BigRock hosting in India include migration glitches from HostGator (e.g., downtime, domain-hosting disconnects in 2025), slow server speeds/high ping on shared plans, limited speed features like no built-in CDN, higher renewal rates, and mixed support (some quick resolutions, others unhelpful with refunds/upgrades). Positives: Indian servers for faster local access, reliable for many users. Check Trustpilot for latest feedback before deciding.

Vella Gyaani (@vella_gyaani) reportedGenuine question: how do you guys build waitlist websites for your projects? That includes terms and privacy links as well? I have a traditional setup of HostGator, WordPress and a simple theme and editing it is a pain all the time. Help me with this transformation. Any guides out there to modernize my setup with no code tools?

Kimberly K Absher (@kkabsherwrites) reported@HostGator, I’ve been stuck in endless chatbot loops trying to cancel Titan Email I never signed up for. No option to cancel, no real support. I’m a paying customer. I want it cancelled & a refund ASAP. No transparency on your site.
