  When looking to replace the dreadful @GoDaddy @GoDaddyHelp with a better company with better customer service, try out Bluehost SiteGround DreamHost HostGator HostPapa InMotion Hosting. You dont have to accept terrible customer service.

  @MichaelFKane Time to set up your domain on a proxy that redirects traffic to a bunch of different services, 1 amazon, 1 hostgator, 1 idk something else. Then have them load distribute based on availability. You can never be too safe.

  @dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!

  @HGsupport We operate a private opt-in discussion list on our mail server used to distribute messages only to subscribed members. The system is not used for spam or bulk commercial mail — it is a controlled discussion list serving legitimate clients-This appears to be a misclassification by your mail system or an IP-level restriction. Who can I contact, as you support number and AI chat doesn't understand

  @HostGator deleted MANY of my posts on my personal blogs. Not me. Hostgator!!! Now, they won't restore them unless I pay them to do it. I've been a customer for 20 years or more. Never thought I would see the day that they would be so blatantly crooked. If you use Hostgator, you have to pay for them to back up your blog or pay a third party. Or you have to copy everything on your site. BlueHost is cheaper, backs up every day, charges nothing extra to do it and restores for no charge. What happened to @HostGator?????

We moved to Houston, TX when my buddy/boss bought a building in Houston, Tx. I ended up training over 1000 employees how to use their service and how to do chats, phone, and ticket customer service.   @FakeUncleNemo Agree generally, but not with Hostgator. EIG subsidiaries (Hostgator, Bluehost, etc) lure people in with cheap intro rates but they quickly raise the prices, their defaults are slow and often have security vulnerabilities, and their customer support, well, I'm not sure it exists.

  Genuine question: how do you guys build waitlist websites for your projects? That includes terms and privacy links as well?   @BigRock The migration has so many bugs that it is impossible for me to renew my hosting that I had on hostgator. If I didn't renew by tomorrow, my servers will go down, while bigrock support says they are helpless. This video is misleading. @bhavintu

  @HostGator is the WORST! Refuses to honor links (says file doesn't exist). More than 2x expensive as @IONOS. Loses posts, media and just generally SUCKS! Customer Service is AWFUL! I'm like IONOS they have a partner who will back up your file for an expensive fee. Otherwise, they just delete your stuff and you have no option if you haven't backed it up yourself. I paid to restore a backup and didn't get half of what they deleted. The reason I know I didn't delete it myself is because it's not in the trash folder. HOSTGATOR DELETED and it's my opinion that they did it intentionally so that they could charge me for a restore and then they didn't really restore much of anything. I lost a lot of memories.

  @HGSupport do none of your support reps have access to WHM on shared accounts? I've been on the phone with a tech support for an hour. She's completely out of her league. The fix would have taken her 30 seconds on WHM to open phpmyadmin and change the definers of a function

  Wired, and Revenue magazine. Later on HostGator got a deal with Google to parter and offer free hosting with the ability to sign up for Free Hosting in Google’s India region. I was put in charge of theming the control panel. Google promoted it and it got 140,000 sign ups in the first month. Later on my friend sold the company for $300,000,000. When it sold my buddy promised me that he would buy me a house and I would have a good payout and I would be able to work with him as a non profit building water wells to people in need. Later when I thought I would get millions he only gave me $130,000 and then moved several hours out of town in the middle of no where on a big ranch. I was very mad at him at the time because not just because I didn’t get millions of dollars like my other friends who I helped start the company with but the $130,000 I couldn’t buy a home. I was contracted to help stay at the company for a year and help transition to the new ownership. I stayed and instead of having to answer to just the founder I all of a sudden had a whole ladder of executives above me telling me what I should work on instead of having the creative freedom to direct myself. Then the downsizing started to occur. The new ownership layed off entire departments of people to outsource their work to 3rd party companies. I saw all my friends get fired and they did this to improve their numbers because they were planning on bringing the company

  @ionos_help_US I called support. They needed my ID and something else. Sadly, I ended up just using @HostGator which went right through and I was up with cpanel in less that 20 minutes.

  After 23 years of being a customer of @HostGator they recently deleted/lost all database content for 4 sites during a hosting renewal. In an attempt to get a refund I got a runaround from with 3 different companies including #BlueHost and #Network Solutions. No refund yet.
