OkYall (@okyall55) reported@Hostgator, unbeknownst to me no longer provide, free backup. Had I known this, I certainly would have moved my blog much, much sooner to @BlueHost who provides it for a free with zero charge restore fees. You have lost your customer service score but your bottom line may have increased TEMPORARILY. Now that I've been forced to review my choice of hosting services for all my blogs and websites, I also have learned that they have almost 10 points higher ratings than you and are a fraction of how much you charge.

CENSORED BY T!!TTER (@PeterVadala) reported@hostgator AmericasMansMan family of Web Sites is down AGAIN
-
Vasudevan M.R. (@VasudevanMR) reported@hostgatorindia @HGSupport My emails have been blocked apparently because my IP address has been flagged. But I use a dynamic IP allotted by my ISP @airtelindia . I have no control over the IP. There is no way for me to resolve the issue. Absolutely pathetic.
-
Mgsilva (@Mgsilva70727329) reported@HostGator @HostGatorBrasil The customer service in Brazil is horrible and someone solve nothing!
-
CENSORED BY T!!TTER (@PeterVadala) reported@HostGator @HostGator or anyone out there can you verify this is actually #Hostgator before we attempt to do tech support via #X instead of over the phone
-
FastCow.com (@fastcowhosting) reported@HGSupport Ouch, looks like we hit a nerve. Maybe if you guys replied to him quicker like you tweeted us instead of having him cry for help for 7 days might do the trick? Just 2 cents from us ;)
-

Could you please temporarily unlock my site or downgrade it to the free plan so I can back up my data? the live chat isnt working anymore Thank you for your assistance.

Shawn Brown (@shawnbb13827) reported@HostGator has been the worst hosting provider I’ve ever dealt with. They take your money, set up an account, and then suddenly cancel it without giving any explanation. Their customer service is almost impossible to understand and the entire experience has been nothing but awful
-
Info4Fun Brasil (@Info4funbr) reported@BrunnooPacheco @HostGator Site is Very Slow... The Customer Portal is down...
-
Brenton Bostick (@halting_brenton) reported@HGSupport I'm trying to buy a new domain. I agreed to terms of service and clicked Checkout Now. And nothing happens.
-
OkYall (@okyall55) reported@HostGator deleted MANY of my posts. Not me. Hostgator. Now they won't restore them unless I pay them to do it. I've been a customer for 20 years or more. Never thought I would see the day that they would be so blatantly crooked. If you use host Gator, you have to pay for them to back up your blog or pay a third party. Or you have to copy everything on your site. BlueHost is cheaper, backs up every day, charges nothing extra and restores for no charge. What happened to hostgator?????
-
Zara_Schneider (@ZSchneider76107) reported@voytekbereza @HostGator Sounds like a deployment or script loading issue. This is where stable infrastructure and proper server setup really make a difference.
-
Shawn Brown (@shawnbb13827) reported@HostGator I've been on the phone with your so called Customer Support. Straight useless. It would probably help if they spoke true American language, but like every other call center - your **** is all outsourced!

Joe Youngblood - SEO, Futurology, AI, Marketing (@YoungbloodJoe) reportedRocketship SEO Plugin: We have identified a memory handling issue with our plugin that appears to largely impact Yoast users on Bluehost (though not HostGator which is the same company). in 100% of cases we've investigated the issue goes away in a few hours as memory used subsides. You might get an error immediately after activating the plugin that says there has been a critical error on the site. Your site and Admin area are fine, this is the memory issue manifesting itself. You might also get a report emailed by WordPress saying the issue was caused by @Yoast using too much memory, but it is our plugin causing the problem not Yoast. Our best guess at the moment is that this error is caused by our compatibility settings with Yoast which is performed automatically upon install and activation. We are looking at making this process more efficient and improving our compatibility so sites in shared environments like Bluehost do not encounter this issue.

Annie 🍁 Freedom Enthusiast (@westcoastgirl1) reported@HGSupport your team was not here to help! their response to me was to hire you instead of fixing my problem - I have requested my $$ back.

HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!
-
Abhishek Ingle (@abhishekingle) reported@HGSupport Why @HGSupport is ghosting it's customers? It's been 3 days since I raised an escalation and even after multiple emails I have not received any responses. HG Support used to be far more responsive earlier.
-
Stella DiMarco (@Stelladmarco) reported@HostGator - their support staff has repeatedly displayed minimal to zero knowledge and are not much more than phone answering clerks. Numerous times we've been given false and varying info. as for the reason for issues #badwebhosting
-
Mehmet (@mettersoy) reportedHostGator support eventually confirmed it: “All outbound connections are blocked.” Yes. The server could not make outbound HTTPS requests (port 443). If you’re a dev, you already know: That breaks EVERYTHING.
