Hostgator Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Stella DiMarco (@Stelladmarco) reported@HostGator - their support staff has repeatedly displayed minimal to zero knowledge and are not much more than phone answering clerks. Numerous times we've been given false and varying info. as for the reason for issues #badwebhosting
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@academicoweb @HostGator We hear you that you are having trouble with the auth code and have concerns about the price and specs of your hosting plan. Repeatedly mentioning us in posts and replies keeps us going through notifications instead of being able to help you. Hence, "spam." Our DMs are open.
-
Shailesh Patel (@Shaileshhp46) reported@BigRock after Hostgator migrated to Bigrock, pathetic service. Support numbers never works. No service support. Many glitches. Should not take responsibility which you can not deliver

Joe Youngblood - SEO, Futurology, AI, Marketing (@YoungbloodJoe) reportedRocketship SEO Plugin: We have identified a memory handling issue with our plugin that appears to largely impact Yoast users on Bluehost (though not HostGator which is the same company) and could impact other shared hosting environments. in 100% of cases we've investigated the issue goes away in a few hours as memory used subsides. You might get an error immediately after activating the plugin that says there has been a critical error on the site. Your site and Admin area are fine though you may not be able to edit plugins / posts / pages, this is the memory issue manifesting itself. You might also get a report emailed by WordPress saying the issue was caused by @Yoast using too much memory, but it is our plugin causing the problem not Yoast. Our best guess at the moment is that this error is caused by our compatibility settings with Yoast which is performed automatically upon install and activation. We are looking at making this process more efficient and improving our compatibility so sites in shared environments like Bluehost do not encounter this issue.

HostGator (@HostGator) reported@betocreativo @Hostinger If your account is US-based, we offer 24/7 phone & chat support with real humans, the AI can help route you to them if needed. If you are a HostGator LATAM customer they also offer chat support were you can reach a live agent, anytime.
-
Zombyboy (@zombyboy) reported@HostGator @DanMicovic I've been on two chats and three calls. I did get chat transcripts, but no emails with any information at all about how long I will be waiting. Not sure how sending you my information will help. I do know that tomorrow morning I'll be talking to my boss about KnownHost and InMotion as our new host. I'm hoping you will help make migration as easy as possible.
-
Dayna | Startups & Growth | #AI (@dayna12121) reported@voytekbereza @HostGator Support quality matters just as much as uptime and pricing. Hoping this gets addressed quickly. Would appreciate an update from the team soon.
-
Mehmet (@mettersoy) reportedHostGator support eventually confirmed it: “All outbound connections are blocked.” Yes. The server could not make outbound HTTPS requests (port 443). If you’re a dev, you already know: That breaks EVERYTHING.
-
Jordan Blum🤘 (@JordanBlum87) reportedCan any tech people help? We use Outlook for The Bookends Review and once a week, it'll stop sending and receiving mail because "503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA." Then, I'll delete the emails we have in the HostGator CP and it'll work again. Any ideas how to fix?
-
Ken (@angelsthinking) reportedURGENT! What’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my patient by email but HostGator just gives us the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?
-
Tapish Jain (@_tapish) reported@BigRock The migration has so many bugs that it is impossible for me to renew my hosting that I had on hostgator. If I didn't renew by tomorrow, my servers will go down, while bigrock support says they are helpless. This video is misleading. @bhavintu

Ⓜ️ina Nathan 💻 (@minaenathan) reportedI not recommend using HostGator or Bluehost. Their security is extremely weak, management is poor, and they consistently focus on charging extra fees instead of providing reliable service. My experience with them for over 8 years has been very disappointing. #bluehost #hostgator

Vella Gyaani (@vella_gyaani) reportedGenuine question: how do you guys build waitlist websites for your projects? That includes terms and privacy links as well? I have a traditional setup of HostGator, WordPress and a simple theme and editing it is a pain all the time. Help me with this transformation. Any guides out there to modernize my setup with no code tools?
