@TheWatcher1978 This is what happens when Newfold Digital purchases hosting companies, they own BlueHost, HostGator, NetworkSolutions, etc. Their support is outsourced now.

@HostGator your chat support is absolute trash at the moment I was ghost-charged without authorization while trying to cancel SiteLock (which you’re lucky I’m too tech-stupid to realize you upsold me on TWICE) And your chat agent can’t be bothered to respond in less than 4 mins

@HGSupport I've already complained once via email and twice via chat support re. SSL not working on my website. Everytime your CSR said they've installed SSL, it will work in 1-2 hours. But it still is not working after days. I'd like to escalate this issue. Please advise.

@YogawithSuzi That’s unfortunately what happens when Newfold Digital buys out hosting companies. I’d suggest staying away from any of their companies if you’re not satisfied with the current support. They own BlueHost, HostGator, NetworkSolutions & so many others.

@HGSupport you have the worst technical support agent! He claimed his name is Roi. I called on 1/5/2023 around 8:30pm PST. He doesn’t understand the question at all and keep on asking the same questions over and over again, refused to transfer me to anyone else, and went silent.

@HostGator @HGSupport Your tech support has gone downhill VERY quickly. I'm calling for help to get Outlook set up on my new laptop and all the person has to do is give me the right port numbers and she's unable to do that. I remember you used to have tech professionals.

@SteveCoxsey Hey Steve, The unfortunate thing is that Newfold Digital often buys out hosting companies. They own BlueHost, Newfold Digital owns HostGator, NetworkSolutions, among others. Bluehost now outsourced all support also.

@HostGator : support tells me MySql servers will not be upgraded for shared hosting accounts. Current HG MySql version: 5.6.41-84.1 latest MySQL version 8.0.31. Performance and security issues! Please consider upgrading!

@cybernaira I haven't had a website in a few years---Namecheap didn't justify its upsold re-up cost after a 3-year trial. The price increase would have recouped and offset the 3 year discount. HostGator had excellent customer follow up with live phone calls to see how you're doing.
