HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@academicoweb @HostGator We hear you that you are having trouble with the auth code and have concerns about the price and specs of your hosting plan. Repeatedly mentioning us in posts and replies keeps us going through notifications instead of being able to help you. Hence, "spam." Our DMs are open.

Any Dummy (@RepAmWatch) reported@HostGator It’s not that one size doesn’t fit all. It’s that live chat was terrible. No reply for 6-8 minutes at a time. I wasn’t asked to stand by while they researched. They repeatedly suggested an illogical solution. And your AI bot is not ready for prime time. Gives bad advice!!!

We use Outlook for The Bookends Review and once a week, it'll stop sending and receiving mail because "503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA." Then, I'll delete the emails we have in the HostGator CP and it'll work again. Any ideas how to fix?

DNS tools can show SPF/DKIM/DMARC records more than once when zones or hostnames overlap or if the browser has some caching issues. If you reach out to support, we can review your DNS directly and make sure everything is set correctly.

Clearly … not the answer. Let’s not forget when the tech people pick up the phone to clock in and ignore you for an hour… who the heck runs Newfold Digital

King Stanky (@TheKingOfStank) reported@MichaelFKane Time to set up your domain on a proxy that redirects traffic to a bunch of different services, 1 amazon, 1 hostgator, 1 idk something else. Then have them load distribute based on availability. You can never be too safe.

The people on the phone said since I don't have hosting with you they can't help me and nobody can help on the phone only in live chat that keeps getting disconnected while I wait on someone. Good job hostgator!

HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!

TBC🏄♂️❎ (@tennisballchips) reported@HostGator @WordPress Now it's created a whole new set of problems. At first, it kept directing me to some weird temporary domain. Then I logged in and updated the settings and now it's a 403 error page. Hours of my time is going down the drain for no reason.

OkYall (@okyall55) reported@HostGator is the WORST! Refuses to honor links (says file doesn't exist). More than 2x expensive as @IONOS. Loses posts, media and just generally SUCKS! Customer Service is AWFUL! I'm like IONOS they have a partner who will back up your file for an expensive fee. Otherwise, they just delete your stuff and you have no option if you haven't backed it up yourself. I paid to restore a backup and didn't get half of what they deleted. The reason I know I didn't delete it myself is because it's not in the trash folder. HOSTGATOR DELETED and it's my opinion that they did it intentionally so that they could charge me for a restore and then they didn't really restore much of anything. I lost a lot of memories.
