Hearing nearly 50k sites still down and HG is recruiting help on Fiverr. Epic fail and clear signal that revenue producing sites cannot trust HG.

We have successfully applied a critical cPanel security patch to your server. No action is required on your part.What HappenedOn April 28, 2026, cPanel's security team disclosed a critical authentication vulnerability affecting cPanel & WHM. As soon as we received notice of this vulnerability and the corresponding patch, our team moved swiftly to apply the update.

We use Outlook for The Bookends Review and once a week, it'll stop sending and receiving mail because "503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA." Then, I'll delete the emails we have in the HostGator CP and it'll work again. Any ideas how to fix?

For me, it's been two days (2 chat sessions and 3 phone calls at various times). The only email I received was last week telling me that our server had been patched and I didn't need to take any action. Then, a few days later, I woke up to our sales guys and editors asking why all of our sites are down. Tomorrow I will be looking at migration options.

Changing terms of service, new tiers of disk usage limitations, 25% increased cost from last three year contract term and the latestest unethical billing practices. @HostGator is officially on the do not recommend list.

The people on the phone said since I don't have hosting with you they can't help me and nobody can help on the phone only in live chat that keeps getting disconnected while I wait on someone. DNS tools can show SPF/DKIM/DMARC records more than once when zones or hostnames overlap or if the browser has some caching issues. If you reach out to support, we can review your DNS directly and make sure everything is set correctly.
