Dayna | Startups & Growth | #AI (@dayna12121) reported@voytekbereza @HostGator Support quality matters just as much as uptime and pricing. Hoping this gets addressed quickly. Would appreciate an update from the team soon.
-
Kudehinbu Oluwaponle (@koluwaponle) reported@HostGator @HGSupport Your support lied to sell me your Nvme vps, (I have chat evidence) which could not support my legacy apps after I made payments totaling $883. I've been trying to receive refunds since Feb 10 without success. Your support has been horrible and of little use
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HostGator @HGSupport @HostGator You still haven't answered the only question that matters: WHEN? "Assigned to the best team" doesn't help me after 9 DAYS of a completely locked-out server. Stop asking for patience and give me an actual ETA for ACOM-3138 immediately!
-
Sleak (@Sleaklight) reportedWith @hgsupport now charging $2.99 for additional emails, I took the time to review my plan. I was on a business plan and wiped all old websites not in use and cut down on email accounts and will be able to downgrade to a hatchling account. Their increase turn into savings for me

Joe Youngblood - SEO, Futurology, AI, Marketing (@YoungbloodJoe) reportedWe have a client hosted by @HostGator's shared hosting system and has been for around 20-years or so. They've hit the limit of 'inodes' on the highest shared hosting plan so were forced to upgrade either by leaving Host Gator or going to a VPS. After a discussion with Host Gator they decided to take a discounted offer and switch to an HG hosted VPS server, HG graciously tossed in free migration from the shared hosting to VPS for a smooth transition. It has been a nightmare since. The website's images are almost all no longer displaying. Host Gator's "migration" team is in India and has screwed up the migration twice now all while a USA based sales person keeps assuring our client that things are going to be fixed asap and it should be done any minute. At one point they took up ALL of the storage space on the VPS for this one site to be moved over. Then they were silent for a full 24-hours before sending a disclaimer and asking permission to delete the data on the VPS server. We are 5 full days into this ordeal without a successful server migration and client is now in a full blown panic. They decided to keep ads running, etc... after being told it would be done in less than 24-hours. They paid for a full year of this hosting up front saying HG's support had improved in recent years and are now getting completely wrecked. Client is worried they might accidentally delete the website or other websites they had built on the shared hosting (which they are keeping). GoDaddy often gets numerous (and extremely valid) complaints about being the worst hosting solution, but all of @NewfoldDigital is right behind them.

Vrajesh Parekh (@yourwebcoders) reported@HGSupport @HostGator We have been using a VPS server and reseller hosting for the past 15 years, and recently one of our clients' domains had malware, but instead of suspending that particular domain, they shut down the whole server, and now more than 50 sites are held hostage,
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HostGator @HGSupport we are now nearing 72 hours without access to our three sites. Zero e-mails updating the situation, daily support chats (whose transcripts are emailed), multiple PM with you on this platform...and nothing. It is time for HG to begin providing real answers beyond cut-and-paste ones.
-
DN (@danielnardicio) reportedWhen looking to replace the dreadful @GoDaddy @GoDaddyHelp with a better company with better customer service, try out Bluehost SiteGround DreamHost HostGator HostPapa InMotion Hosting. You dont have to accept terrible customer service.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@ronimartinezz @HostGator From the screenshot, it looks like you are having trouble logging in to your account to cancel. If that's the case, send us a DM so we can get you verified and assist.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@ZennieAbraham62 @HostGator Thank you for the outreach. Support can assist with WP installs, login or admin access issues, installing, plugin and theme activation, plugin and theme errors conflicts and more. TJ Dickerman (@thewartimephilo) reported@Codie_Sanchez I live in the middle of nowhere, I own a coffeehouse, I consult, I am running 12 agents currently one of which I had create a local newspaper, I gave it log ins to hostgator had it build a website, write the stories, do the research, email the people from the articles, and then uploaded it all and went live. We're only three days into that so nothing of substance is happening, but how cool, eventually sell ads, and help the community. That's just the first I have doing that but now imagine running any number of affiliate sites, blogs, scraper extraordinaire there's just so much to be doing right now. No one around me knows any of this stuff is happening yet. What an opportunity. Could go for days but you're 1000% right, I wish I was surrounded by more me types, but I will take the advantage of having no less than 5 counties near me where I may be the most educated on the subject.
-
Kudehinbu Oluwaponle (@koluwaponle) reported@HostGator @HGSupport I requested using the money to cover cost of my existing snappy VPS, your support refused. They insisted on refunds, they tried refunding to my naira card, it failed and I told them to refund to my dollar card, they promised to do so but never did
-
David Burger (@TrueSignalMedia) reported@HGSupport so I guess your services don't want to work today.. pretty crappy service when need to get on to update their site.
-
Oakland Movies - Oakland News - Zennie Abraham (@OaklandMovies) reported@HGSupport Hey HostGator, fix my server. Where is @NewfoldDigital in all of this?
-
Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #SuperBowlLX #NFLDRAFT (@ZennieAbraham62) reported@HGSupport @HostGator This was a back end, server-related Wordpress issue. Not every Wordpress problem has to do with theme or plugin, singularly. Also, there's an outstanding malware problem HostGator was supposed to solve and call me about, and did phone call.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@academicoweb @HostGator We hear you that you are having trouble with the auth code and have concerns about the price and specs of your hosting plan. Repeatedly mentioning us in posts and replies keeps us going through notifications instead of being able to help you. Hence, "spam." Our DMs are open.
-
Joe (@JoeJavaJuice) reported@KenMediated Yep just ended a near 20 year relationship with HostGator. Changing terms of service, new tiers of disk usage limitations, 25% increased cost from last three year contract term and the latestest unethical billing practices. @HostGator is officially on the do not recommend list.
-
kenny chez (@kennychez) reportedDay 9 of complete server outage. @HostGator took server offline after cPanel security patch on 28 Apr. Many client websites down and I am facing hell everyday . No resolution timeline. No escalation path. Ticket E-515758. This is unacceptable. #HostGator #HostGatorDown
-
Maxitrol 🏝️✈️🥥 (@maxitrol_404) reported@NamecheapCEO Keep prices low! I switched to Namecheap from Hostgator because you are 3x cheaper at least. Also your support is great, don't replace it with AI
-
Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #NFL #NFLDRAFT #SDCC #OAK (@ZennieAbraham62) reportedHey @HGSupport Jyothi is an admin who tries to trick me rather than help me. You need to take him off work duty because he's not helping people.
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HGSupport @HostGator still no follow up and telling me to wait until server is enabled then they will proceed with migration and the worst part is there is no Estimate time when will that happen Currently i got the same answer for 6 days repeatedly
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@francojosephsd @HGSupport My server has been down for 8 days now and still no fix yet
-
Mehmet (@mettersoy) reportedAfter 14 years as a HostGator customer, I’m leaving. Not because of price. Not because of performance. But because they silently blocked all outbound traffic and took down my ecommerce business. 🧵👇
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HostGator @HGSupport my server has been down for 6 Day now the thing is your team locked out the server ports due recent cpanel issue, but till now I didn't get any followup or solution from your team they tell me to wait for 24-48 hr everyday and then give no reply
-
John Peterson (@johnpetersontx) reported@YoungbloodJoe @HostGator Instead, it's often better to put them on a managed hosting service of some sort. I found this out the hard way when I got hacked on a VPS because then I didn't keep up with package updates.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@yourwebcoders @HostGator Malware is a tricky problem and we work to make sure that it is contained as quickly as possible. Since you have provided the case numbers (we don't advise putting them in public), we can check on them for you. Let's put the rest of this conversation in the DMs for your privacy.
