@sam1tron At least in overwatch 1 if a new hero was broken as **** everyone could use them but now it's fork over like 30 bucks and now you get the power

@JetSetEwalk i was thinking the same thing. like every other games does it but it’s a problem when overwatch does it? it’s not like you have to unlock all the characters, just the new ones. Apex has the same structure??

@remeweds Yes, you're right. It does have balancing problems. That is a big part of the problem. Overwatch likes releasing new heroes ridiculously over powered, and people will lose because they dont have them.

@Stylosa overwatch is back baby! honestly we shouldve seen this coming when they announced a battle pass. the combination of blizzard's scumminess and the disconnect between ow devs and its players made this pretty obvious

@Stylosa This is frankly the result of everyone wanting Overwatch to be a live service game. You wanted content this is the price you pay for said content. I figured this would be the case months ago. I'm guessing *fingers crossed* it's going to be about on par with Val. Agent unlocks.

@Metro_OW the problem is that nobody knows how much time you need to play BP to unlock the hero .. if its 100+ hours then its gg for overwatch cuz there is people that yk .. work or go to school

@afkcody @NrvnqsrCesar @EReapr None of this is true because there are multiple counters to heroes in Overwatch. For example in OW if you have a problem with enemy Phara, you just need to play a hitscan, not Specifically Ashe (hypothetically if she was locked and you didn’t have her) Devs need 2 make money

@NrvnqsrCesar @EReapr the problem is you need to swap to counter in overwatch it’s literally encouraged by the game design it isn’t at all like apex you switch hero’s mulitiple times a match in overwatch usually so it’s straight up pay to win to lock hero’s behind battle pass

@theMoneyFolder Cosmetics behind battlepass is fine, overwatch relies on counters and hero switching, if the roster was bigger and more balanced I wouldn't mind (dota & lol) but its not so it's going to cause balance problems in competitive mode down the road

@Stylosa All these people say I don’t see a problem because Apex and Val do the same, Overwatch revolves around it’s heroes whilst games like Apex and Val revolve around Gunplay, it’s stupid to put your characters behind grinding, what if you need this character to win? or to counter?

Neither Valorant, Paladins or Apex have you swapping hero's mid match, two of them have universal guns and paladins has pick bans to make up for a lack of free champions. It IS an issue in overwatch because you might straight up just not own the counter needed to win

@Colteastwood @JayBari_ But after that 3 years extension for CoD, I’m **** out of luck unless I want to play an inferior version on a buggy laggy cloud service or buy a $400 or whatever console just to play CoD and Diablo(I can live without Overwatch)
