microsoft buying activision is one of those things that will *feel* good for consumers bc call of duty and overwatch and diablo and WoW will go on game pass, but will ultimately be bad as product quality gets diluted and nothing happens to fix cultures of abuse in gaming

Xbox do be making some BIG moves lately. Bethesda last year, Activision/Blizzard this year. The company that once struggled to find exclusives outside of Halo, Forza, and Gears now has The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, Overwatch, Warcraft, CoD, Crash, and MORE.

@MadDashMiltank Tbh the first thought I had was whether or not Actiblizz are in hot water, CoD, Overwatch and WoW are still gigantic names regardless of what they put out so M$ is looking at them like "I can fix her"

@Xbox @ATVI_AB if they did this in like 2017 it would make sense. overwatch just won game of the year, cod was still going strong and crash bandicoot was coming back into the mainstream. but now, cod is dead, overwatch is dead with a sequel in limbo and crash bandicoot is just existing

@CharizardB17 Minecraft is a special deal because it's minecraft. Old overwatch will chances are stay being on multiple platforms no problem. Anything new though it's going to be like elder scrolls 6 and exclusive to xbox consoles. My assumption anyway

I'm a massive Sony fan, but I have no problem saying that they are ****** unless they start making some serious acquisitions. I don't care if you don't like COD, Overwatch or Diablo. Millions of people do and this acquisition is going to cause a lot of people to move to Xbox.

@itsDJKENTO @KBABZonTV @Canadianguyehh Assuming so far that elder scrolls 6 and starfield are exclusives, I can only see call of duty and overwatch staying multi sadly. Smaller games like crash and spyro are gonna get that label slapped on em, if we get any new games

@IGN Going off what they’ve done before, things like war zone& overwatch will stay supported on Sony, but any game without a on paper contract with Sony before the merger is going to be ms exclusive. So cod, Diablo 4, tony hawk, crash badicoot, spyro, anything new at blizzard

On the surface they're just saying oh yeah we now own Diablo, Overwatch, CoD etc. But like. They now own the rights to Crash and Spyro both of which were at one point PS exclusives from the way back when and Tony Hawk. On top of that they own Bethesda, Rare, Id, Mojang, Obsidian.

@Storm_Spark Call of Duty is now exclusive to Xbox. World of Warcraft is now exclusive to Xbox. Overwatch is now exclusive to Xbox. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are now exclusive to Xbox.....
