@YokaiRiderVT I don't really see a problem here. Overwatch 1 got boring after time, because you didn't really have a motivation to play except a lootbox every 2 hours or so. And the Voice Chat thing isn't a new tactic. I would assume most games do this, but OW admits to it.

Gundam Overwatch really came out at the exact right time, Overwatch 2 looks like such a pile of **** that people who want their fix of that kinda multiplayer shooter will hop right over to it

@Soursugar404 yeah , overwatch was a pay to play game at its core though and now it's free. even though im pretty sure unlocking a character once every 3 games won't be a problem for new players since ow is pretty overwhelming at first the option is still there

@MischiefsYT Because characters should already be unlocked in overwatch locking them is dumb. That’s a huge issue in r6s in my opinion.

@sadaplays Overwatch was fantastic when it came out, but was completely ruined by updates. I hope Overwatch 2 doesn't share that problem.

@YokaiRiderVT the old heroes **** is pretty ******* wack but the phone number stuff is a good move imo, overwatch 1 had a huge smurfing problem and its just text transcripts unlike riot’s full on recording voice chats in valorant so i feel its less intrusive in a way

@Shpeshal_Nick Pretty sure it is to prevent people making multiple accounts in order to smurf which is pretty good since it is a pretty big problem with Overwatch and would be much worse when it goes free with OW2

@BasilNth Why tho? These measures will surely tone down smurfs and toxicity so I don't see the problem, specially when this has been a long time issue within the overwatch community/ playerbase

The Overwatch 1 servers going down once Overwatch 2 comes out is gonna feel really bitter sweet. The game had its issues, but there's just so many things that happened in OW1 that won't feel the same in OW2. Kinda crazy that I've been playing this game for nearly 6 years.

Crazy how overwatch 2 releases and even tho most of the news we’ve gotten is dogshit, people are still managing to forget that they have an abuse problem and Microsoft turned their backs on taking care of it

I think I've achieved True Neutral in my stance on Overwatch 2 because like Me when hype Overwatch 2 trailer comes out: yes. that certainly is overwatch. Me when "IT REQUIRES YOUR PHONE NUMBER" headline comes out: yes. that certainly sounds like a *terrible* problem.
