    I know this started as a conversation about toxicity, but I feel Overwatch has too many core issues to stop toxic behavior from its core playerbase And also you can't stop toxicity in online games ever If anything just give players better functionality for avoiding and muting

    I think I've achieved True Neutral in my stance on Overwatch 2 because like Me when hype Overwatch 2 trailer comes out: yes. that certainly is overwatch. Me when "IT REQUIRES YOUR PHONE NUMBER" headline comes out: yes. that certainly sounds like a *terrible* problem.

    Gave up on Apex. Overwatch and Team Fortress 2 are my main games now, even cross progression wouldn't fix my will to play this excuse of a game. My account is now back to normal and i'll begin posting on my native language (or not). Thanks @EA @Respawn, very cool 👍

    @PlayOverwatch Overwatch 2 is not ‘free to play’ if you require a paid service to play it. SMS authentication is not the solution to solve toxicity in games or stop smurf accounts.

    Gundam Overwatch really came out at the exact right time, Overwatch 2 looks like such a pile of **** that people who want their fix of that kinda multiplayer shooter will hop right over to it

    @thisdarkfuture @BroskiNoski22 @Win98Tech I am sorry pal but the last good thing about tf2 is before meet your match disaster and then it took around 1 to 2 years to fix the bots crisis which is beyond pathetic. Eveb paladins has more sustainable update than TF2 or overwatch

    This phone number problem with overwatch 2 is really gonna be an issue for households that have more players than phones, not every member of a fam can have a phone with a number if they're struggling with money. A free game should be accessible to the poor

    @uncle_crunkle @Win98Tech Because no one will play the first game once the second game comes out. The first game is just stale. Anyone who actually WANTS to play Overwatch will have zero problems moving to OW2.

    @Soursugar404 yeah , overwatch was a pay to play game at its core though and now it's free. even though im pretty sure unlocking a character once every 3 games won't be a problem for new players since ow is pretty overwhelming at first the option is still there

    Given that this phone number lock is new and I'm probably far from the only one with this issue, I imagine it'd take them forever to actually go through all the customer support tickets. Goodbye Overwatch 😭
