  Every successful live service game, such as Helldivers 2, is going through the "Path of Exile" conundrum. A community that begs for the game to change in a way where they would ultimately abandon it, if not for the devs sticking to a vision the community openly hates.

  @JoseDelgadoMT @pathofexile Because playing maps all day would make it soooo different. It's not what you're doing that's the issue, you're killing monsters either way, I think people complaining about the story should actually be complaining about the very slow start where you're lacking skills/speed.

  @Imperius_Fate @RustySlaw79916 @pathofexile For poe 1 the easiest strat are printing at least 30 divine an hour, some are even yellow map viable, complete skill issue if you are poor.

  I wish @pathofexile would add a respawn button when we die, there’s no reason to teleport back to the hideout after dying. Why can’t we just have a third button to respawn where the portal was. Especially with this league’s server issues, it’s painful to have to go through 3 loading screens to get back into my mirage

  @PaulTassi One thing others might not have touched on; Warframe is a live service that respects their customer's time and money. Example 1: When they introduced pets they also had fur patterns and fur colors which you could get from tossing real coin (about 70 cents) at a random loot box. In one weekend one customer spent hundreds of dollars trying to get the perfect fur/color combo. Other live service companies: "KA-CHING!!!!!" DE: "Oh no, this is bad." Removed that system, refunded the coin, reworked how fur patterns and colors are obtained in the game. Example 2: There is stuff you can buy from Warframe for real money (of course, F2P live service game, and all). It is limited to cosmetics and convenience items with the convenience items being dirt cheap. So good, so far. But here is where DE splits from other live service games. Let's take the Vauban Heirloom skin as an example. It costs 400 Plat (premium currency) to buy it. Or you can drop $25 to pick it up. But, when you pick up the skin you also get 425 Plat with it. How much would it cost to get 425 plat without the skin? $20 pack of 380, and a $5 pack of 75 for a total of 455 plat for $25. Or, if you look at it the other way around, you are buying ~$25 of Plat and getting the skin for free when you purchase the bundle. Other live service games will offer a cosmetic, or bundle it with the premium currency, and the bundle will the cost of the skin + the currency less a small (10% if you're lucky) discount. DE's packs are pretty much there to give you value for $$ above and beyond just the premium currency because their customers are often doing the Fry meme, "Shut up and take my money!" They want to toss DE some coin; not because they need to to keep up with the game, or buy power, or some battle pass shenanigans. Nope, all of that is free. It all comes down to earning the coin and offering fair deal for people to choose to spend their coin on. Example 2 is why Warframe worked and DE2 (and most other live service games) didn't. Also, you might notice that their model mirrors another live service game's model, one that has been around for as long as Warframe. Path of Exile.

  @Elyndrys @pathofexile 'Just being updated' is a massive understatement. I love ARPGs. I play many ARPGs in a seasonal way. Of course I'm biased. But my bias is based on forged and broken trust. PoE became my favourite arpg, because the company constantly overdelivers and even if they make mistakes, I KNOW it'll be fixed. D2 was THE childhood game for me. Diablo 3 was a letdown. Diablo immortal is a scam. Diablo 4 took 2 expansions to become a well rounded game and many seasons were extremely underwhelming. Still, I took the expansion at face value and had several positive posts about it. I did encounter some issues during the campaign and with the skill tree rework, but it's a good step. I promise you, if blizzard will keep delivering more quality I will cheer for it more. Same for GGG. I promise you will see me pointing out issues with the PoE2 0.5 on release.
