@Andrew_Reiner This is as bland of an announcement as I could have imagined. I don’t have a PS5 so I can play PS1 games. I’m a PlayStation guy, but, Game Pass will still clearly be a better service until new releases are part of this.

  • NOSFERATU_ONE Nosferatu_One (@NOSFERATU_ONE) reported

@nicametroid @Innthacut @PlayStation Better games? Because this is a gaming subscription service. So it begs the question, are the games on gamepass better? Because thats the only way it can be rated as a better sub system

  • ferraridreams Puertorican Spice. (@ferraridreams) reported

@ZhugeEX @Nibellion If i were PlayStation I would offer 30% discount on first party AAA games when people preorder and have the top tier subscription. I would give a 20% discount on pre-ordering first party games to those who have the mid-tier service and no discount for the basic tiers subscribers

@PlayStation Let me fix this Essential - regular 59.99/yr no changes monthly ps plus games Extra - 79.99/yr adds 400 Ps4/Ps5 games Sony block buster hit movies and a free year Funimation/Crunchyroll Premium - 99.99/yr adds 340 games from ps2/ps3. As well 1 free controller a year Ps4/Ps5

  • Stevedfld stevedfld (@Stevedfld) reported

@thatoldgamerguy that’s great about PlayStation plus was the longer you have it the better it is cause I’ve accumulated so many games so at this point I’m just gonna stay with the regular service most likely, but I wanna check out the library and see maybe I’ll amp it up a bit, who knows

  • flippant_the Lord Flasheart 🇬🇧🇺🇦 (@flippant_the) reported

@GIBiz I don’t feel PlayStation should go down the road of a bargain bin straight to dvd subscription service. Quality is what has always set ps apart from Xbox and if anyone wants that low quality stuff they can always sub to game pass. No point lowering standards to compete

  • Superbad1300 Superbad (@Superbad1300) reported

what’s gonna happen to people who sub to playstation now but not ps plus (me) after this whole ps plus service change?

  • TechNoir_Talks Tech Noir 10-1 (@TechNoir_Talks) reported

@Abdel_114 @majornelson @wccftech Actually, it’s just a “first refusal” clause. Basically if Capcom consider putting it on any subscription service like GamePass or PS+Premium, they need to notify Playstation first, Playstation will then match any offer from Xbox or other platforms and get first refusal.

  • DjaniSfm DjaniTheGamerSFM (@DjaniSfm) reported

@PlayStation PS now is useless if you can't fix your broken laggy *** cloud that works like complete **** should've given us backwards compatibility for the ps1 ps2 ps3 games instead of that ****** unfixed cloud

  • 210bob bobby (@210bob) reported

@PlayStation Won’t this make them bankrupt collecting way less than $70 a pop to the Pony’s, the annual price is probably just temporary for like a month or two, it’s all in now but the day one releases better happen soon or the service and the company will suffer if not done right.

  • JayofLegend Master of Duel (@JayofLegend) reported

@Idk_ask_someone @xaviersonline I think the big issue is Microsoft is profitable outside of their Xboxs, while the playstation was basically the only thing that made money for Sony for a few years. They kinda can't not try to get everything they can out of the PS portion

  • ethangach AmericanTruckSongs8 (@ethangach) reported

Feel like some people are comparing PlayStation Plus Premium against an imaginary PlayStation Pass service and seeing it fall short. But 1 to 2 year old first-party Sony games vs day-one Xbox exclusives seems like a reasonable matchup

  • Optamizm 💙💛 Optamizm (@Optamizm) reported

@AskPlayStation What will the upgrade process be for the new PS+ service?

  • Comics_Lamar Comics Lamar 🏀🤴🏾 (@Comics_Lamar) reported

    @Randy20033 @Okami13_ @PlayStation Not our problem

  • Murderstorm117 Edward Torres (@Murderstorm117) reported

Jim Ryan says that putting first party studio games on the new Playstation plus subscription service day one could cause them to suffer. They have already been suffering. Titles have become creatively stagnant and surprisingly buggy. Lacking the polish they were once known for.
