Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • WMMANews MarQ P (@WMMANews) reported

@byLorettaHunt Melvin was the hedge fund the WallStreetBets Reddit was trying to take down

  • maxarooni27 maxarooni (@maxarooni27) reported

@benshapiro This is wrong in so many ways. It’s the hedge funds fault it got to this. Hedge funds ended up shorting more shares of $GME than actually exist. Reddit users found this error and abused it. Now that they are not selling stocks, when they own so much it’s forcing (1/2)

  • zrhiser Zachary Hiser (@zrhiser) reported

@Griffin_Aliff Basically a sub Reddit got a bunch of people to buy stock in AMC and GameStop. This caused a group of investors to lose millions and the government pretty much shut down the Reddit. So in summary the government doesn’t want to poor people to get money from the stocks.

  • HowieBlingy Scott Glenn in The Leftovers (@HowieBlingy) reported

reddit just happens to be down too i’m so sure

  • Dmudster Vibhan Mudoi (@Dmudster) reported

BUY THE DIP DO NOT SELL THIS IS A SHORT RAID THEY TOOK DOWN THE REDDIT THEY STILL HAVE TO COVER THEIR SHORTS WHICH ARE NOW AT 230%

  • calebleverett Caleb Leverett (@calebleverett) reported

I hope the GameStop/Reddit people double down on their trolling and invest in #Ethereum

  • LibtKitWitch Jessica "Soup Can" Green (@LibtKitWitch) reported

@ExNihilo24 the reddit page appears to be down now as well

  • dr_winfreyj Dr Winfrey (matt) (@dr_winfreyj) reported

@t_refc_ Reddit saw hedge funds were betting on the stocks for GameStop going down so to make them lose loads of money they all started buying stocks in GameStop and it worked an now they are shitting one

  • HappyHeretic2 Happy Heretic (@HappyHeretic2) reported

Reddit users drove a rogue spike in GameSTOP stock yesterday, then AMC stock. If you are wondering why GameSTOP, I think it showcases the connection between Reddit users and Gamergate. They never went away. Big Tech never fixed the problem. Robin Hood, they are not.

  • Stavan_P Stavan Purohit (@Stavan_P) reported

So when regular ppl start coming together and buying stocks the SEC steps in and shuts it all down meanwhile every day for past 40 years they let the big fish insider trade and make billions. And this Reddit page was completely legal. Goes to show we can’t trust our gov.

  • apexpoogie apexpoogie (@apexpoogie) reported

I think the lede that gets buried about the whole Gamestop thing, is that the original short position was just bad. It was hilariously unnecessarily extreme to the point that without Reddit stepping in, it would have barely broken even or pulled a small profit.

  • christhenerd92 Chris Caron: Your Friend (@christhenerd92) reported

@CTGstudios I've been monitoring reddit trading since the wsb discord was shut down.

  • JakeLame9 Jake Lame (@JakeLame9) reported

REDDIT IS FALLING, IT'S NOT WORKING!

  • Bing8778 E. Garrity (@Bing8778) reported

@davidnwelton @wyeth1nc Regardless of what other smaller stories happen, the headline is the fact that they see it as 'illegitimate' when its little groups on reddit taking advantage of a broken market, but just doing business when its guys in suits destroying companies, concentrating wealth, etc.

Please don’t go down the Reddit stock market rabbit hole, friends. Invest your money wisely
