@OldSchoolRS I don’t like to jump on the bandwagon of hate but surely this is concerning to Jagex that their servers seem so fragile. I have no idea what caused it but it’s the second major outage in the space of a month.

@Kevster012 @AndrewK2023 @RuneScape This is poor disaster planning and mitigation. Servers go down yes. But when you offer a service for money there should be redundant systems. When it takes hrs for you to recover a service people pay for they get mad. Why dont you hop off your phone and go for a jog?

@OldSchoolRS I played a lot of MMO's even one's that are like OSRS(old), fairly, not as big. But even the bigger one's they usually only have problem when there is a huge update or expansion. In OSRS case we players fear every time it has a simple update because we know something will go bad

@AwesomeMuppet @RuneScape Something is seriously wrong. And it's the fact that they have almost 0 redundancy for any of their systems. An issue at a single data centre earlier took down the entire game for everyone. Any decent company would have had their systems automatically fail over to another centre

@OldSchoolRS This is the ONLY time I had to play this week and you guys really took servers down? This is the second time this happen within a month spans of time

@JagexSupport Are the servers actually down or is this due to the rollback? Hopefully the game isn't become more and more unstable as you guys do things.... The log-in issues appeared to start at the same time the roll back process started. This isn't another carriers problem.

@RuneScape Have you guys never actually heard of troubleshooting? So like, a set team dedicated to finding all these issues on seperate post patch servers etc? Just seems like you're throwing things out and going 'oops, my bad' when things don't work.

@DKHo_OSRS @butterycryptos @OldSchoolRS Right now? No, the focus is on resolving the issues at hand and getting everyone back into the game. We're typically quite transparent about these things though, so I would imagine when its all settled down a little we'll be able to go into more detail as we did last time.
