@CastlesInSpace That's just bizarre. Spotify has a strange power over artists, like a form of Stockholm Syndrome. I think it comes down to a sense of self worth or validation. There's a dopamine hit you get from seeing the number of streams on Spotify, but its a very transient, empty high.

I have been facing this issue. Whenever I listen to spotify with my earphones, suddenly the song just stopps, without any command or anything it just stopps. If someone knows how to fix it tell me. @Spotify help me if you can.

@plasmatron Agree. But the problem is also, what does spotify do with my money? I buy LPs every weeks because I am lucky enough to have a good record store nearby. I like the complementary of a streaming platform, but which one is the fairer with artists?

Like **** Spotify. No shame on ppl for using it, not everyone can afford to buy music outright. But Spotify simply does not pay out enough to support artists. Not as a side-gig, not even as spare change. It's exploitative all the way down. Buy the music you love when you're able.

@AcesToAces Happened to me once. Managed to get it off spotify easily, but still having trouble getting it off Beatport etc Annoying as anything, especially as this random label released it on a compilation and have re-released it 5 odd times

I'm in the top 0.5% for @anmlcollective listeners on Spotify. I dread t think how much of that is just Meeting of the Waters. I'd be top of the Silver Jews cover was on there. If @bandcamp goes down it's just me binging (please buy it).
