I'm trying to get into metalcore by listening to some playlists on spotify because I really like the genre. The problem is that some metalcore bands have the "pop punk" vocals which sound like absolute dogshit.

Like **** Spotify. No shame on ppl for using it, not everyone can afford to buy music outright. But Spotify simply does not pay out enough to support artists. Not as a side-gig, not even as spare change. It's exploitative all the way down. Buy the music you love when you're able.

i have bad eyesight bro i can’t use spotify the dark colors and small text on songs won’t fly i’m so sorry i won’t judge u for ur streaming service but ultimately spotify is hard for me to use. that’s the end of it that is IT but sometimes ur music taste is damning

@Medium I use my Spotify account at work. Starting April, the coworkers put a terrible playlist on repeat, totally messing up my Spotify stats and year end lists; I've spent an hour blocking artists to make 2020 seem less...deadly

@SecretArchives @thefader @CyberNoise Might be worth checking whether anything sets undetected tracks apart and reporting to authors of the tool. I can see a handful of things making this a trouble (e.g. if Bandcamp and Spotify artist/track names do not match up precisely)
