I still think it's strange how @riotgames won't give league multiple servers in the US to help people not have ping issues (because of splitting the player base), but Valorant was somehow able to do it.

Riot has a toxicity issue in League & Valorant, but they have strict measures to curb straight-up bigotry. Voice chat complicates things, but @valvesoftware needs to do SOMETHING to punish bigotry - you can't stop it all, but you can filter & punish enough to discourage players.

@TheLankySoldier The problem is that "something smaller" are often huge projects in themselves. Don't be fooled by the match team size. VALORANT, a 5v5 game, is still a big project. By using an already established IP you may also inherit expectations of quality that are hard to reach at budget.
