    More record highs for gold, and us stocks are expected to extend gains later today. European indices are weaker across the board this morning. Ftse100 is led lower by healthcare. A stronger pound is a problem for the ftse since the majority of big hitters earn in $. @XTBUK

    @XTBUK Don't get caught in this scam. Trustpilot has highlighted that there are scam reviews on XTBs reviews. I've been caught. 2 weeks in and I am still battling to get basic reports from the badly managed company. Incompetent staff are lying to me and reports are broken

    What goes up, must come down. SpaceX is down 2% today and is back below $ 200 per share, after investors got nervous about its extended run up post IPO. This sell off is mild, and might be a normal pull back. @XTBUK

    The oil price is down $3.50 per barrel for Brent after reports that the Iranian foreign minister is travelling to Islamabad. This is boosting hopes that talks between the us and Iran will take place this weekend. @XTBUK

    A small recalibration lower in expectations of a Fed rate cut in September, there is now a 59% chance; down from 60%. Bond yields are lower, as the us is following European bond yields lower. The market is taking this CPI report as benign, no hindrance to rate cuts. @XTBUK

    EBay has rejected GameStop’s offer. The minnow gets pushed to the side for now… EBay’s share price is down 1% in the pre market, GameStop is down 4.75% in the pre market. @XTBUK

    GBPUSD has found support around $1.3260 after today’s sell off. However, Gilt yields continue to sell off. The 10 year is now down 7 bps. The bond market is telling us that the UK economy needs help. This could limit GBP space for recovery. @XTBUK
