@jimbomorrison @netflix @PrimeVideo Ahh, I'm sorry, I looked it up. The Quality problems was with the HomePod mini which was deemed too expensive for what it delivers by most reviews. The big HomePod actually had overwhelmingly positive reviews. I wonder how they did that, Beats was known for heavy bass not quality

@PrimeVideo @AmazonHelp The audio track on for My Little Pony: Equestria Girls needs a new master from the studio. The audio is either out of phase or has a downmix issue. It’s English stereo only so I’m assuming out of phase. It sounds bad. Audio bad on every device tested.

@jimbomorrison @netflix @PrimeVideo But that's only a tiny fraction of Amazon's overall revenue and they have about the worst UX you can think of for a subscription service. (Prime Video is never really sure if it wants to be a subscription service or a video retailer or a marketplace for 3rd party subscriptions)

@AmazonHelp On AppleTV, I did the following: 1) Reboot AppleTV 2) Deleted and Reinstalled PrimeVideo App 3) Changed the DNS settings to be IPv4 only I’m not going to reset AppleTV as some suggest since Disney+ and other apps work fine and took time to set up.

@Mastacheata @netflix @PrimeVideo Hmm. Re CSAM. First, not sure they've turned the CSAM stuff on yet, second on balance I'm accepting of it, third there's nothing to suggest all providers won't do the same (if they don't already). Where else is their privacy an issue?

You have to wonder about the incompetence at @amazon . I have contacted @AmazonAustralia and @PrimeVideo about gift cards I was promised for reviewing an awful TV show of theirs. Each of them gave me different contact details for the US arm, neither works.

This "woke" film doesn't do anything but make rich studios wealthier.

@jimbomorrison @netflix @PrimeVideo The HomePod has garbage quality, but great integration. The iPhone has a garbage UX, but great integration with iOS and macOS. The Laptop has dozens of competitors, but again none of them offer the integration with the other Apple services, because these are exclusive to Apple

@Mastacheata @netflix @PrimeVideo It's not an affordability thing. There simply isn't a good alt. No smart speaker delivers HomePod audio quality, nor integration with my laptop/watch/phone. No-one makes a laptop like this 64G M1 Max. No-one really competes with an iPhone 13p either. No-one does all of this.
