I keep getting warnings from Cogeco about interruptions this coming July 12, but so far my network has been okay. It was wonky yesterday morning, but now it's fine.

@DathanSmith1991 LMAO Rogers doesn’t own TekSavvy or other wholesale ISPs. They lease part of their network. The same with Bell. And Cogeco.

@SamyiMo @TheBeaverton Clearly they should have redundancies. The fact Bell, TELUS, Shaw, Cogeco, Videotron, Sasktel, etc. already exist didn’t prevent Interac’s service from going down. How would another 5, 10 or 100 competitors have?

@prairiecentrist Square can run on a hotspot though through any cellular provider. Say Starlink and Rogers go down, maybe cogeco shits the bed. Someone (manager/employee) with another provider could power it up accordingly, and obviously compensated as such.

@Middleaged75 @CheriDiNovo @Rogers I also have split services. Cogeco for the internet and Rogers for Cell Service.

@JustinTrudeau Do something about the monopoly in our telecoms! There's no reason that #rogersoutrage should shut down airports, border crossing, ATMs, debit services, wifi, mobile and more. Action needs to happen, #Rogers needs to be broken up now! Bell and Cogeco next.

@AboutRogers 26 hours and counting , let this be a lesson to all never bundle all your services with one provider. Thankfully I have Cogeco for internet but two level authentication didn’t work because of text still couldn’t work
