Norm (@quietlybless) reported@cogeco research to do bit, no f****** internet. Every day, this joke of a business just gets worse. *Reminder: I won't replaced equipment again. FORCED when I moved to switch from tvo. When installer arrived, he had no idea of equipment I had or service to be provided @crtc
-
Evan Cochrane (@cochrane_evan) reported@cogeco Will this be resolved by tonight? Or are we looking at a mutiple day outage?
-
🏒⛳️ Mark Kennedy 🇨🇦 (@MarkKennedyQW) reportedLooks like the internet outage is affecting not only @cogeco but reports that @Rogers and @Bell also down as well. Let the conspiracy theories begin.
-
end-of-suburbia Silverthorn (@endofsuburbia) reported@itsterki @MikeDoris @cogeco At least I could get my work done, meet my deadline tonight, and impress my client. Unless you have a better solution.
-
Afrodyliac (@afrodyliac) reported@xassassinsswef @cogeco It must be pretty bad, none of their websites are working either. Read somewhere a fiber cable has been cut but not sure if that's true.
-
🏒⛳️ Mark Kennedy 🇨🇦 (@MarkKennedyQW) reportedLooks like @Cogeco has a major outage in Trenton and maybe even wider.
-
Ty (@trashboglin) reported@zubic_eth @cogeco @Starlink Cogeco is trash. Bell Fibe hasn’t let me down
-
Hugh G Azzol (@MrTuffster) reported@cogeco Start running the lines legal height. You’d probably have less issues.
-
Frazer Smith (@frazoono) reported@cogeco We are still without phone service this morning? Internet was restored around 4:45pm yesterday. Anyone else still without phone?
-
Norm (@quietlybless) reported@cogeco down now 36 hours. Internet down but cogeco says, "having an issue go to cogeco online" . How idiotic. Requested technical support(#5) but after 3 minute message..." customer service is closed" with a quick hang up. No cs during outage??? @crtc
-
💀extremeXmetal💀 (@extremeXmetal) reported@alancross Cogeco seems like the only provider having problems. Every other provider seems normal.

Canadian Dividend Investing (@CDInewsletter) reported@kinisurrco Nice summary. I think your model is onto something, but at the same time I can't bring myself to buy more $T.TO (I sold $BCE.TO a couple years ago). That probably means it's a good time to buy. BCE is a no-go for me because I don't trust management. They're kings of saying one thing and doing another. Rogers I don't love the focus on sports franchises. Quebecor is still my favourite in the sector. Only a tiny bit more expensive than Telus on a P/FCF basis, but better balance sheet, a dividend that should grow, and a more focused company. Honourable mention to Cogeco too. Think they sell the U.S. part of the company and use the proceeds to pay down debt/do a buyback. They may even potentially take the company private.

Dianne Williams (@SDM_1900) reported@cogeco STILL HAVING PROBLEMS!!!
-
D.S (@Davidschonitz) reported@scully_russell @cogeco Damn, GGs for all of us on their network. Probably not a quicknfix if it's this widespread.
-
Jay S🐬 (@friskybusinesz) reported@Lesley_Bergen @cogeco Cogeco sucks. Their customer service is atrocious
-
terk (@itsterki) reported@endofsuburbia @MikeDoris @cogeco Satellite internet is *** compared to fibre, slow speeds, more latency and a stormy day? Say goodbye to internet

Joe Caverly (@JoeC4281) reportedPreviewing second-quarter earnings season for Canadian telecommunications companies, Scotia Capital’s Maher Yaghi made these target changes: BCE Inc. (BCE-T +2.86% increase, “sector outperform”) to $39 from $41, Quebecor Inc. (QBR-B-T +1.08% increase, “sector perform”) to $63.50 from $58, Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI-B-T +2.88% increase, “sector outperform”) to $61 from $60.50 Telus Corp. (T-T +3.44% increase, “sector perform”) to $19 from $20. The averages on the Street are $40.24, $66.12, $59.73 and $19.95, respectively. “We expect Q2 results to show early signs that Canadian fundamentals are stabilizing around wireless pricing,” Mr. Yaghi said. “However, we do not think the evidence is strong yet to support a broad-based sector re-rating given soft subscriber growth." "In that context, Rogers screens well given improving FCF, lower capex, and MLSE optionality, while BCE shares are supported by attractive valuations, with upside from Ziply and AI." "By contrast, Cogeco remains weighed down by U.S. broadband pressure, TELUS still needs a credible new action plan to address dividend sustainability, and Quebecor continues to execute well, but its valuation leaves little room for error." "Overall, we remain neutral on the group, as improving industry discipline is encouraging but not yet enough to resolve company-specific debates around leverage, capital allocation, and whether valuations adequately reflect the longer-term risk of non-traditional broadband competition." "We made a few target adjustments lowering multiples on T given growth path, lifted valuations on MLSE for RCI and medium term growth in DCF for QBR.." Source: Globe & Mail

Patrick (@pnbbeall) reportedBy the looks of Twitter @cogeco can't keep it's internet going. But that doesn't mean you'll get any money back for the service they are not providing.
-
Jeff LeBlanc (@JeffLeBlanc777) reportedGot my @cogeco Internet bill and it went from $86.97/mth to $150.76/mth. Been a customer for 25+ years and still have to make the annual call to get the bill and rate adjusted to latest promo. Such a bad business practice! Maybe send me a new offer BEFORE jacking the rate?

Dan D'Alessandro (@ddalessandro) reported@cogeco #cogeco one hour on hold to Cogeco. My Mother in law reached them mid Feb and they never followed up or call back. So im trying to help her. This isn’t customer service. Should have sold yourself if this is what you would become. Just terrible!
-
Hugh G Azzol (@MrTuffster) reported@cogeco Shoddy service like this from any provider will push more to go towards starlink
-
JerryP (@yarop) reportedWhat a crappy service it is. Calling customer service twice, and after listening each time for a while for useless suggestions, I heard: "Thank you for calling Cogeco ", and was disconnected twice. How disrespectful and rude it is. I'm done with Cogeco.
-
Norm (@quietlybless) reported@handiclapper @cogeco @CRTCeng He said he's a Canadian born Nigerian. But again , if you're educated in the school system and bothered to get to know or hang around another culture , your accent isn't as thick as those that just arrived here. Never. This woman just didn't speak the way he liked.
-
Fyble (@Fyble) reported@cogeco How is it taking you this long to fix it and the commitment is overnight for a full resolution? Definitely switching to Bell.
