@coochtastic Again BF is gonna have a playerbase that will happen the problem is it’s not gonna have anything as big as something like Destiny and BL3 as far as loot games and it’s not gonna reach the level of a big mmo playerbase to sustain It’s just a bad money sink

@Nibellion I guess rip Platinum games, games as a service just doesn't work if said game never had a demand for it Destiny works bec gamers for some reason always wanted a FPS MMO, but once it exists the chance for another FPS MMO to work is less due to Destiny now being the competition

@Leviathan1015 @NintyPrime Ff7r is not a live service... think more of Destiny/Destiny 2. Instead of being on destiny 4 now. They just keep creating content for the game 4 to 5 years in.

@hysterical_j @iamalitayyeb I still love the game. I’m definitely excited for WQ. But it’s irritating seeing these ppl who obviously don’t play either game over hyping Destiny to trash Halo. The reality is they both have similar problems. All you have to do is casually scan the Destiny Reddit to see that.

@YaPappy2054557 @marlisjun Im going to disagree whole heartedly. Destiny PVP was more refined and rewarding where half the bullet sponge mechanics were removed, the game modes were fresher. Halo Infinite (or Halo in General) PVP is suffering from stale recycled content, netcode issues, bullet sponge ****

idk how live service pivots keeps happening when it abundantly clear only two things actually have mass scale success w/ this formula & they're games that have spent years building their audience, it is a market of fortnite & destiny & nothing else

@kindafrika @JoysSparkle @Kunnish that's not the problem. There is absolutely nothing wrong if you do not love someone back. Dating them out of pity and referring to them as "destiny stopper" whilst looking for the fastest way to get rid of them - that is what is bad.

@hippopothomasj Not to mention the battle royales that have fallen by the wayside. I don't think there is inherently anything wrong with live service games - it's just a lot take the wrong lessons. Also telling the best are the ones which have lasted (Destiny, Pokémon Go, Fortnite come to mind).

@Yelix I don't think that's Destiny's biggest problem, but it's been an enduring issue for making exactly the thing you're talking about feel more onerous. I do think the weaponcrafting stuff in the new expansion could shake things up, but we'll see.

Platinum moving to Live Service games is cool. As somebody that's spent 3-4,000 hours across Destiny and Destiny 2, having more to play in that sphere is good. Warframe already exists, but that doesn't mean Platinum couldn't innovate and improve.

Just checking, how many hogh peofile console live service games after Destiny 1/2 has been all that successful? It feels like most of them crash and burn allost instantly with maybe some from Ubisoft getting an audience. Why are so many trying as most of them just fail?

@Jarvenis I miss the feeling of a brand new Desting game. Each DLC is gret but eventually reverts to the same destiny grind again bc its the same game. Only a new game would fix that

@That_mist_ake @tha_rami I was HYPED initially for it, but once we saw gameplay and got more info, all interest flew out the window. I dont mind live service, I play Destiny and The Division. But live service isnt the answer for Platinum, imo.

@PaulTassi Seems pretty accurate Look at customization issue Fiesta with lack of rotation of weapons Force cross play with a bad anti cheat I really loved halo but since 4 idk put more time into destiny and trust me I picked halo 5 over destiny 1 ..

@Alastair_Neill @ForbesGames But Destiny's next expansion (2-22) is the most purchased one ever. Give it 2 weeks and the numbers are going to rise like crazy. A brand new game shouldn't have any trouble this early on.
