@MoreConsole I just wish the "Destiny Content Vault" was an actual game you can play. You sign in with your Bungie account, no loot drops, only PvE stuff, not a live game

@MatthewMurren @DestinyTheGame No, lack of resourses to properly balance after doing that killed it. Sidearms needed toning down and regen sniper needed to be nerfed hard. D1 crucible had issues, but you cant make effective sandbox balancing long term without addressing starting with one hit kill weapons.

@DestinyTheGame Shatterdive isn’t the problem, Crucible is. Leave Shatterdive exactly how it is and just get rid of the Crucible so it stops holding PvE back.

@PaulTassi best case scenario i can see them squirm their way into is they drop standalone games (maybe even offline) akin to Destiny: The Collection and just do that to appease us, admittedly id be completely happy especially if they drop the 2 and name it something that fits live service

@PaulTassi Preferable concept: create an alternative launchable title that contains all vaulted Destiny 2 content. Things like the red war, curse of Osiris, warmind, and forsaken would be playable there, while Destiny 2 would exclusively contain new content. Either that or fix the timeline

@SkillUpYT Destiny has always had a problem with the new player experience, but I think this will just amplify that massively. Forsaken like you said is where the game took a turn for the better in story, and this just took away that story telling and made the game worse.

Your game is running low and you'r not doing presage ? Uninstall it. You want everything at the cost of speed ? Install it. Let us choose.

@WILLof1k @TheZearGuy @DestinyTheGame Dude, if having too many levels is making the game lag? You messed something up and the game is loading more than the necessary content for whatever you're doing. Sounds to me like the game needs a serious rebuild from the ground up

@CodySDax nobody bought D2 expecting to have stuff from D1. They paid for content in D2 that is getting removed from the game which buyers were never informed was going to happen. This was never an issue with Destiny 1, this isn't currently an issue with any other game.

@lapalazar @DestinyTheGame @Sxmprrr The problem isn’t as much about the storage space on the consumer end as it is about the space on the developer end. Even if it were optional, they would still have to update and develop the optional content which would increase the time it takes to patch the game.

@PaulTassi Destiny struggles because it’s on the fence about what it wants/needs to be. It needs to go full blown FPS MMORPG. Then, maybe they could make enough money to fix many/numerous issues. Content vaulting is the stupidest solution I’ve ever heard.

@BadKarmaLucky @Ki11ersix My problem is that, most Destiny players run all 3 characters for the best experience. Having to run upwards of 6 campaigns is a major inconvenience should it stay. It makes starting your first character extremely scary. Imo, this change is completely necessary, but it's 50/50 :p

@Ki11ersix I mean, the problem is that Destiny is a full live service game. They literally HAVE to do it if they plan to keep supporting it through 2022-23 (which they do) and remember also that due to it being live service, people usually only run the DLC 1 time per character due to limit

@polliwham All live service games are built differently. Not taking out old content from Destiny will hurt them in the long run, they said it themselves. For instance, FF14 has a storage space of give or take 60 gigs, Destiny, before Beyond Light dropped, was hitting CoD levels of 100 gigs.

Delay the game to 2022. Fix the bugs, balance the vehicle play, bring back the old revive system. Introduce the same Crossplay Destiny 2 and Apex Legends has to Battlefield 2042 or input based. Notify grenades. Show the entire scoreboard.
