@PlagueOfGripes @Outriders The thing is I play several different games on this same PC daily. I play Destiny 2 like a day job. Nothing else has this issue, just Outriders. Could be anything at this point, but reddit/steam forums at least assure it's not just me with this issue.

@homme_de_fusil My biggest pet peeve with the Destiny plan is another aspect of the issue I have with the second half of Destiny, that being the story and characters changing in favor of making team Kira the good guys no matter what.

Instead of justifying settler colonialism through the dehumanization of Native people, Robinson can just imagine a frontier where Native people never existed. Problem seemingly solved and the ideological apparatus of Manifest Destiny can remain intact.

@Sarksus I still think there are issues re: explaining things to players and how menus are laid out, but they're not that bothersome. Big sign MH is a success, for me: it made me really frustrated at all the things Destiny doesn't do, or does terribly.

@Chadly_99 I’ll never get wanting a game to fail just cause it’s competition to a game you like. I personally have no interest I the game, but I hope it blows up so games like Destiny have some actual competition in the live service arena. It’s felt kinda stale with all the others failing.

@topoji16 @Koenraad_Elst The issue isn't so much with verna by choice vs heredity. That caste should translate into a fixed destiny, station in life, right at birth, is the problem. Varna as in Mahabharata (the text mentioned originally) retains agency, caste as imported and ossified here doesn't.
