@FitbitSupport Can you actually acknowledge the fact that your app is the problem after the update this morning? “oh, just try reconnecting again.” No duh. We have all tried that before we contacted any support. Mine synced last at 6:05am, then the app updated. Now it won’t.

@fitbit @madebygoogle it's unbelievable there's an outage?! The data on my watch should be able to sync with my phone! If I can't depend on Fitbit to be consistent at this stage in the game then it's time to look elsewhere.

@FitbitSupport Seems downdetector indicates you have a widespread problem with users starting off failing to sync, following troubleshooting steps eventually leading to uninstalling/reinstalling the fitbit app and getting login failure. Please update the community here.

@FitbitSupport For this fitbit/Google outage, if you're just starting your sync failure troubleshooting, do not uninstall the app until the login failure is resolved. Google/Fitbit, please update us here as well.

Is there an issue with third-party apps getting information from FitBit to sync ? @FitbitSupport

@FitbitSupport so when there's a major outage instead of you informing us via email, you'd rather have all of us spending our time uninstalling/reinstalling?! I just don't get the mindset of execs running a business like this. I have to dig to find out what's going on.

@FitbitSupport I am having connection issues with my Android phone. Already tried the recommended steps. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Now, when I try to open the app and try to login via Google, get an error message. Dead in the water right now.

@FitbitSupport Or you could just accept you're having issues, would have thought that was blindingly obvious after it being all over twitter and down detector. Quit getting people to go through ****** troubleshooting when we all know it's a service issue, not device.

@ATLBravesGirl49 @FitbitSupport Try logging into your app using only phone data (turn off wifi). This seems to be an app issue, but let's see if that changes anything since the last time this happened, that was part of the fix.

@FitbitSupport @Sn1Jacko Definitely an issue on the Fitbit server side. Tried deleting the Android app, clearing its local data, unpairing the device, rebooting it. Can't log back into the Android app now. @FitbitSupport it's on your side.

@FitbitSupport @Sn1Jacko Your servers had been down for everyone for almost an hour already when you posted this reply. Why are you making users jump through a bunch of hoops & waste their time (and yours when they inevitably email you with continued issues) when it’s a known server issue on your end?
