Waited over a week for the replacement to arrive and when it did it wouldn’t sync either! Problem was finally fixed by someone in support who knew what they were doing.

Firstly, I start the “Run” on my Pixel Watch 4 and once I end it, it somehow ends up as “Workout” on the Health App and no stats.
