Hey @googlenest. I encountered a pretty catastrophic failure mode in my 2nd home. The thermostat failed in a way that it called for both AC cooling and emergency heat at the same time. My electricity bill was 10x the month before! Anything you can do to help?

@googlenesthelp (1) I have a google nest hello doorbell. He went offline and never came back online. First performed a reset does not work. Factory default does not work. Everything performed but does not come factory default. De-energised and restarted does not work either.

@virginmedia Then what? Because I’ll need to put it back into modem mode to make my @googlenest function properly.. and it will no doubt happen again... That’s not really resolution. It’s been in modem modem for weeks, why suddenly an issue?

@googlenesthelp Units often go offline and have to be restarted. Now they’re reporting 260s. It’s been nothing but trouble after the first week or so (they were great at first)

@googlenesthelp My Nest thermostat lost wifi connectivity. I've reset my router, restarted my thermostat, deleted it and tried to add it back, and nothing works. It doesn't find ANY network despite the fact that all other devices find 5 or 6 other than mine. Help.

@googlenest home/away assist not working? Nest Hub Max spying on me while I'm home. Factory reset and reconfigure doesn't fix the problem. Started today.

@googlenesthelp Using only 1 network name in wifi. Error happens in google home app : this nest mini is not found connected to the wifi network and hence cannot be casted. Direct Interactive with device also received response notifying that device is not having any connection to wifi network.

@googlenesthelp the problem started at 6:00 PM. I waited until 8:00 PM and then I was the first to perform a reset. didn't get any notifications either. .that didn't work. then removed it from the app.and performed a factory default reset.that doesn't work either.

@googlenesthelp I have a Nest Thermostat and it has lost the ability to connect to my WiFi. I have already reset the thermostat controller and the WiFi by itself. My router is supplying a good signal and other no other networks are seen by the Nest thermostat. WiFi is broken.

Our @googlenest that was serving as our router died. It was a surprisingly difficult problem to troubleshoot, but we swapped it with another endpoint and are back up to speed with 3/4 of our endpoints. Just angry that I lost several hours in a crucial week to this problem.

@googlenesthelp was trying to set it back up from a factory reset and kept getting error messages. it ended up locking me out when testing even though it said the test was fine and i had to call a locksmith 🤠

@googlenesthelp Thank you for replying. I have rebooted couple of time incl resetting the device. Also there are home mini and Chromecast connected to the same wifi and they're working just fine, no issue with disconnection.

@googlenest @google I was able to play you tube videos remotely on my Chromecast in any of my homes by using Assistant on phone and being anywhere in the world, but now I cannot - Why is the feature not working? I hope we are not moving backwards? 😱😰

@googlenesthelp my google nest thermostat 3rd gen won’t connect to wifi. I’ve reset wifi settings and allowed Nests battery to drain completely and then plug in. It won’t recognize any networks. Could you help?

@googlenesthelp I’m so disappointed in my Google Nest Thermostat. It broke down after 2 years. I don’t recommend this unit. I think I’ll go back to Honeywell. My old unit lasted many, many years and worked just as well.

Ridiculous service from @googlenesthelp refusing to investigate potential bugs when my grandfathered subscription was cancelled w/o consent. Clearly this org structure is broken if agents keep handing you off b/w teams, claiming "ur subscription is managed by Google, not by Nest"
