Tim Douglas (@awesomedud69) reported@googlenest Hi I have a 3rd generation thermostat that went out of warranty last year. Wifi no longer works on it and apparently it's a known issue. Everything else still works. Called tech support and they tried everything. I assume I'm out of luck on a 3 year old thermostat?

I've tried everything from reset, to router reset, an other trouble shooting methods. It's never connected since the day I purchased it new. I firmly believe its the nest device not working.

Persistent Login: The app remains active in the background, allowing you to receive notifications and live view camera feeds without re-entering credentials. Either Karen or her dad deleted it.

Google repeatedly denied a Nest upgrade promo for 1 of the units since it was offline during a reno. If this is how they treat loyal users, I’m done. Billy Rowe™ Ph.D (@rowebil) reported@GilBenelli @googlenesthelp I ran into this issue before and might be experiencing it now. We had to remove the thermostat from the account, do a complete reset, and re-add. Their support was not helpful - complete opposite really.

Nethraxis (@nethraxis) reportedpurchased @Google @googlenest cameras and wanted to self host them but google throttles the feed and locks everything behind a ridiculously over priced paywall for the worst service you could imagine. crazy how a trillion dollar company who dominates the internet and ad space has to also scam with their products and lock them behind paywalls. I guess the shreholders are pretty happy and the CEO gets to fill his bank account with sub revenue.
