Raymond Snijders (@rsnijders) reported@googlenesthelp Resetting the Nest Mini (unplugging/plug back in) does fix the problem temporarely but somehow the Nest Mini or the Tunein app fetches new and wrong geodata location info and it refuses a new radio session for Dutch stations like Radio 10 and Radio Veronica. Will DM tomorrow.

Ramesh Nukala (@rameshnukala) reported@googlenesthelp I have google mesh routers & every few months I’m having trouble with accessing internet. When I contact the customer care, only solution I get is reset router. Resulting in a new network name and setting up a new password on all the 50 +devices. VeryFrustrating

Crashes. Lagging. Spinning wheels. Freezes. I have 9 cameras all unusable. Not just me. 1 stars!

Since the forced Gemini rollout, basic features (hands-free calls, routines) are broken unless I hand over more data. Safety risks in the car too. Audio Engineer (@aud_eng) reportedI was excited to install a new Nest 4th Gen learning thermostat to replace my ecobee which was working fine, @googlenest. The only reason I have one is remote sensors. THE NEST TEMP WAS SET TO 68 BUT IT'S STILL HEATING AT 77 DEGREES! WHY?? Do I need to have this unit replaced? I can't turn enough of this eco-garbage off. I'm smart enough to know exactly what I want to temp to stay at and not have my temperature change on it's own. Please advise, I thought we were over the frozen dead grandmas of 8 years ago.

And I'm home, walking past the firking thermostat every few minutes to warm up my coffee. It's a great product technically, but their company zealotry is offensively, aggressively bad.

I have been on the phone everyday to be transferred from person to person or disconnected and still dont have a resolution.

Kevin (@McNamara_Group) reported@googlenest @madebygoogle Subject: URGENT ESCALATION: $650 Nest Hardware Unusable / Account Locked After Church Vandalism To Google Nest Support / Escalation Team: I am writing to urgently escalate a situation that has rendered $650 worth of brand-new Google Nest cameras completely useless due to an automated account lockout loop. Recently, our local church was vandalized. I have been a loyal Google user for years and personally promised our pastor that Google’s ecosystem was reliable and spectacular. Based on my recommendation, we purchased four new Google Nest cameras to secure the building. Here is the exact timeline of what has happened: I set up a new dedicated Gmail account specifically to manage the church's new security system. I successfully set up all 4 new Nest cameras on that account using my mobile phone. Everything worked perfectly on my device. I then gave the email and password to our pastor so he could log in and monitor the system from his end. Instead of letting him log in, Google’s automated security randomly locked the account and sent an email demanding an explanation for why the account was created. I provided the full explanation, and the account was officially "restored" 2 days later. The Current Issue: Despite the account being restored, the system is STILL blocking any login attempts from the pastor's devices or any computer. It continuously throws an "unrecognized device" error, even with the correct password and recovery information on file. Because of this endless security loop, we cannot hand over the account to the church. Right now, these four cameras are essentially $650 dead sticks. We cannot monitor our recently vandalized church. I understand Google has automated security measures, but I need a human being to look at this account, lift the device lock, and allow us to actually use the hardware we purchased. I need this escalated to someone who can resolve this immediately.

Persistent Login: The app remains active in the background, allowing you to receive notifications and live view camera feeds without re-entering credentials. Either Karen or her dad deleted it.

Dec 20: charged $180 annual; still linked to the broken one (not installed). New doorbell = unable to link. Been overpaying for worse service. Spt no help No refund.

Nethraxis (@nethraxis) reportedpurchased @Google @googlenest cameras and wanted to self host them but google throttles the feed and locks everything behind a ridiculously over priced paywall for the worst service you could imagine. crazy how a trillion dollar company who dominates the internet and ad space has to also scam with their products and lock them behind paywalls. I guess the shreholders are pretty happy and the CEO gets to fill his bank account with sub revenue.
