The Handlebar Gamer (@RSDCDN) reportedOk.... I am after homekit enabled smoke/carbon detectors. @googlenest protects are all at the end of their lives. They don't make them anymore. So, Trying to find what works/is available in canada (NA). There are "smart" ones from Kidde and a homebridge plugin. Any help?!

The lady I asked if they had a backup battery option because our association harasses us by cutting the power. They don't know that @googlenest makes a power connector that connects to the furnace. No laws broken Karen.
