Google Nest Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • KarBearAnn Karbearann (@KarBearAnn) reported

@googlenesthelp The issue seems to be as soon as it hits safe mode or away mode, if stops turning the heater. So at night it goes down to 65 (our setting) and stops telling the heater to come on and the temps drop into the 50s. It is all over the best support logs as an issue too

  • Aaron87268570 Aaron (@Aaron87268570) reported

@googlenest Don’t buy Google Nest products. Our Nest doorbell barely lasted outside the warranty period. Peels and looks awful. Google will do nothing to fix the situation and won’t back up their products. I’ll look to Amazon next time.

  • iben Iben Rodriguez (@iben) reported

@mediaphyter @googlenest Use your phone as a hot spot to get it on line for the initial setup. It will download some updates and reboot with newer firmware that should help it to more easily connect to your existing home Wi-Fi network. Or make a temp open ssid on home network for for few days.

  • KarlTheMartian Karl Martin 👽 (@KarlTheMartian) reported

@mediaphyter @googlenest I'm not familiar with Nest specifically, but I know a lot of IOT products only support 2.4GHz wifi (not 5GHz). One trick that sometimes works is temporarily disable 5GHz to see if that's the issue. It's not necessarily a long term solve, but then you can isolate the issue.

  • mikolaus Michael Williams (@mikolaus) reported

@googlenesthelp Thanks for responding as well. Just as an FYI - I have seen several posts of folks having similar issues with the Nest. Nothing changed with my current internet provider and we went and bought a Nest WiFi router thinking that would help fix it - it didn’t. The new Nest did.

  • kim_eure Kim Eure (@kim_eure) reported

@googlenesthelp Yes. We have done that too. It was originally just one of our thermostats, now it is both that are giving us trouble.

  • Robo85 Robo85 (@Robo85) reported

@googlenesthelp Hey, my heat link seems to have died this morning. Looking online it seems to be a very common issue. I need to get this resolved ASAP. What’s best for me to do? We’re experiencing cold (for the uk) temps and I want to get this up and running quickly for toddler.

  • apere006 Anthony Sanz (@apere006) reported

@googlenesthelp Nest thermostat not connecting to wifi anymore. It can't see the wifi networks. All other devices continue to work. Restarting the Nest multiple times doesn't fix it.

  • edge770 G.Moore  (@edge770) reported

@googlenest need to find ways to make it easy to provide redundancy if internet is down. Especially in weather situation @Sonos move and roam came through using atleast bluetooth to a hotspot. Have to rethink platform

The @googlenest Yale lock is a stunning piece of hot garbage. My god, who designed this????

  • Maruca2007 Maribel (@Maruca2007) reported

@googlenesthelp need help with my Nest. It will not find Networks at all no matter how many troubleshooting steps I try. How do I resolve?

  • TheGrumpasaurus The Chumpasaurus (@TheGrumpasaurus) reported

@googlenesthelp I have two nests in different rooms but they can both hear when I speak. Music starts on the one I want then transfers to the other. God these things are garbage...

  • PlayByJ Jason Brown (@PlayByJ) reported

@googlenesthelp Update: @googlenesthelp was amazing. They jumped right in and provided the help I needed. Defective unit has been replaced at no cost and replacement is working perfectly. Thank you!

  • mikolaus Michael Williams (@mikolaus) reported

@googlenesthelp I was able to exchange at the store it was purchased at. Is there a known wifi issue?

  • adamj_davies adam davies (@adamj_davies) reported

@googlenesthelp No, I couldn't control the builds with voice control. The "this device is not available at this time" message plays. I can control all my other bulbs which use the smartlife app. It's just the hue bulbs that have the issue.

  • BigBear0509 Christopher Shennan (@BigBear0509) reported

@googlenesthelp All resolved - it was broken and sorted a replacement

  • LukeHarmerMD Dr. Luke Harmer (@LukeHarmerMD) reported

@googlenesthelp one of my nest thermostats states it can’t find a Wi-Fi network. I’ve troubleshot every way I can and reset the nest multiple times. Can you help?

  • kim_eure Kim Eure (@kim_eure) reported

@googlenesthelp When we restart it, it never has any trouble finding it. Just staying connected b

  • jamiessaidwhat Jamie 🌸🦋 (@jamiessaidwhat) reported

Is there not a way to actually speak to someone in support at @Google ? I am having the worst time with my nest cam and everything I search just brings up topics that don’t help me. This is so frustrating. @googlenest

  • adamj_davies adam davies (@adamj_davies) reported

@googlenesthelp Hi, it looks like there is a issue with Philips hue Bluetooth bulbs and Google home. The bulbs don't use the bridge. They were working fine before Christmas but now they are not detected on the home app. There still work with the hue Bluetooth app. Any ideas?

  • kim_eure Kim Eure (@kim_eure) reported

@googlenest why won’t my thermostats stay online?!?! We’ve reset numerous times. Works for a day or so, then offline again!! Also have had to change the batteries 3 times since September! Help!

  • FunkaGelli Funkoga (@FunkaGelli) reported

@googlenesthelp Just got a new Nest camera, set up it up the Google Home app and my Nest app doesn't recognize it? Help!

  • SimonTibbo Simon Tibbo (@SimonTibbo) reported

@googlenesthelp Assume this new Nest wireless cam will never integrate with the Nest app, and therefore not be able to utilise the Nest Aware subscription I pay monthly for? Seems a little broken to have an ecosystem all working perfectly in one app and now one camera standalone.

  • jamescummings James Cummings (@jamescummings) reported

I ask @Google Home @googlenest wifi or @googlenestmini to "Count down from 10", and it does it out loud. "10, 9, 8, 7..." Put that in a #GoogleHome routine and it sets a timer for 10 minutes. Inconsistent. Trying to figure out how to have it count down in a routine.

  • BlairSawler Blair T Sawler (@BlairSawler) reported

@gramcracker1884 @googlenest @madebygoogle I just asked for the same thing. Upvote! This new white noise is terrible.

  • mmcneive mmcneive (@mmcneive) reported

  • boldsytech Travis (@boldsytech) reported

@rhettjwilson @ring @googlenest I had that issue and finally deleted the app and reinstalled

  • rhettjwilson Rhett Wilson (@rhettjwilson) reported

How do I get the @ring app to stop asking me to login? It is the only app I have that won't stay logged in. I'm about to replace it with @googlenest
