@PaulLomax @googlenest The batteries go bad in the thermostats. I'm a electronics tech & found that the batteries are not replaceable. One must buy a new $300 nest thermostat every 10 yrs or so.

@googlenesthelp Thermostat to the router is about 15 yards away through the floor and wall. Computer and cell phone further down the hall have no issues connecting. No devices, baby monitors or microwave in the vicinity.

@PaulLomax @googlenest Yes it is But There's a rechargeable battery in the thing and when it goes bad it takes down the thermostat.

@GoogleStore @googlenest I cannot believe how badly you messed up the new generation of indoor cameras. They are completely useless to us now and have to return 3 cameras. No clue what you were thinking. Whoever had this idea should be let go. You made best camera into the worst.

@neilbridgeman @googlenest The first heat link that went down on one of my jobs Nest replaced and paid me £100 for a temp fix, and £100 for replacement, like you say excellent. But now they are pushing customers to BOXT.

@madebygoogle I couldn't believe having to replace my Google Nest Router after 2 yrs. It was no longer possible to reset & reinstall points. After purchasing a refurbished Google Mesh Router problem solved. No longer happy w/Google quality @googlenest

@pbplumber @googlenest My heat link went down and Google sent a replacement and offered me up to £100 to have it changed. I thought that was excellent. TBH keeping a plumber away from the electrics is very sensible.

@elliegibson @googlenest @HiveHomeUK It’s worse. Don’t do it. If you ever want to use trvs the hive system is shockingly bad. I switched from hive to tado and couldn’t be happier. Everything just works. The hive was a daily, sometimes hourly battle to get temps right in individual rooms.

@googlenesthelp hello. My nest is not connecting to any network. Other devices are connected to wifi fine. I tried looking for my mobile hotspot. Neither worked. I reset the next. Problem continues.

@pbplumber @googlenest I ditched @googlenest their tech support if shocking!!! And in general aftercare is the worst ive ever experienced, used to fit loads but advise customer to run a mile amd be happy they don’t have one now

@badnima I bought into the @googlenest ecosystem when I did my home reno smoke detectors, thermostat, and doorbell and was promptly shocked at how bad the user experience apps are stuff is scattered between nest app and home app, I now avoid any google branded home products.
