Nethraxis (@nethraxis) reportedpurchased @Google @googlenest cameras and wanted to self host them but google throttles the feed and locks everything behind a ridiculously over priced paywall for the worst service you could imagine. crazy how a trillion dollar company who dominates the internet and ad space has to also scam with their products and lock them behind paywalls. I guess the shreholders are pretty happy and the CEO gets to fill his bank account with sub revenue.

Couldn’t have happened at a worse time. I used to think Google was the better of the big companies, (with Apple, Meta) but it appears their need for control and obsolescence is just as bad if not worse. How dare you Google? You should be ashamed of yourselves. I know Nest would’ve never done this. Google, you SUCK.

Crashes. Lagging. Spinning wheels. Freezes. I have 9 cameras all unusable. Not just me. 1 stars!

Owned a nest mini for years and recently it has multiple times a day just lost connection to all other smart devices on the account. App shows them as “offline” but they are online and functional. When I contact the customer care, only solution I get is reset router. Resulting in a new network name and setting up a new password on all the 50 +devices. VeryFrustrating
