Google Nest Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • rickflix Rich Samuels (@rickflix) reported

@googlenesthelp It's was working all along—now commands to turn off are ignored. Nest App and Alexa both indicate that the thermostat is off, though it's still on. A quick search shows that a number of people are reporting this issue since last week...?

  • Patty_Lyons Patty (Needs WAY more coffee) Lyons (@Patty_Lyons) reported

@googlenesthelp 5th day in a row, that our thermostats went to Eco. You must fix this. Software update???

  • SharifDavis9 Sharif Davis (@SharifDavis9) reported

@googlenesthelp - My Help is Sharif Davis and my Google nest Thermostat is not connecting to my WIFI. I have reset it three times already with no success. Can someone please help me with this problem?

  • FlagshipWMG Mike Molitoris (@FlagshipWMG) reported from Cary, North Carolina

  • ofcAnthony Anthony, of course 💉💉 (@ofcAnthony) reported

@googlenesthelp I don't understand. Why can he use it on his phone no problem, but can't on the Chromecast with Google TV? He uses my account instead and I end up with suggestions based on his viewing unless he casts from his phone. It doesn't make any sense

  • RomaneVernet2 Romane Vernet (@RomaneVernet2) reported

@googlenesthelp Not sure the exact distance, but I'd say about 20-25 feet. It wasn't an issue before, it's been running fine for about 5-6 months. Not baby monitor or cordless phones (are those still around?) no appliances. The one downstairs works fine. I have a 3rd one, but it's not installed

  • MageInput Patrick Hastings (@MageInput) reported

@googlenesthelp Hi google nest team, I think this is more a feature request than an active software issue

  • davidkeatscroft David Keats-Croft (@davidkeatscroft) reported

@googlenesthelp pretty unhappy that I've got the w5 wifi chip error and now being told I'm out of warranty (end of Oct) when the problem has existed for over 30 days, putting me FIRMLY inside the warranty period. I hope you plan on fixing my problem.

  • SupermanisClark SupermanisClark (@SupermanisClark) reported

@googlenesthelp I don’t have a family member added. I have the Samsung Galaxy Flip. This isn’t a phone issue as I’m receiving other notifications and its also no longer chiming in my home.

  • stunningd22 Deplorable D (@stunningd22) reported

@googlenesthelp Just bought 3 nest protects and they connect to my router , I’ve checked the list of connected devices but in the app it will not connect to the nest network to complete the setup process, please help!!

  • jkouns Jake (@jkouns) reported

Anyone ever had an issue with @madebygoogle where they just randomly deleted a whole home structure and all the devices? I swear @Google has completely botched this @googlenest integration.

  • jimmdink jimbo d (@jimmdink) reported

@googlenesthelp thanks for being disconnected. Your CS is terrible. When asked to disconnect and reconnect power sources to an item that takes time to do, the Cs rep ends the chat. Thumbs up.

  • __boaty James (@__boaty) reported

@googlenest your app is absolute trash

  • BlaRe_GreGo Ataraxy (@BlaRe_GreGo) reported

@googlenest im confused. I have invited family member in the home app but the have no acess to the thermostat. It says they need a nest account and to log in with that which makes no sense. Help? Please!

  • wizhardhittin Wiz (@wizhardhittin) reported

  • Zobo87 Zoë (@Zobo87) reported

@googlenesthelp urgent help! I didn’t migrate my account and now I can’t get it back. This means my heating is broken. I clicked the reset password link and it’s not sending me my password I tried to just reinstall everything but it’s all connected to my nest account (not Google

  • aphofer Critical Bureaucracy Theory (@aphofer) reported

@googlenesthelp U.S., latest version of Chromecast with Google TV. There isn’t a problem with functionality, just the UI. Is there a setting that restricts search results to services that the user has successfully signed in to? Also, can volume remote be programmed to control 3rd party spkr?

  • TripDiam TripDiam (@TripDiam) reported

@googlenesthelp The service technician put his nest thermostat on the wall and it worked fine so it was just my unit. He actually has to carry one around with him because this is apparently a common issue.

  • jordanyonodev jordydev (@jordanyonodev) reported

@googlenesthelp Nope. It can’t find any networks in range. Such as my neighbors, but my iPhone, android tablet, chrome book, and dell + Ubuntu Linux can find the networks no problem. Luckily the nest is working in offline mode now, but it wasn’t before.

  • SharifDavis9 Sharif Davis (@SharifDavis9) reported

@googlenesthelp No problem, I am located in Stoughton MA within the US. This problem started happening a week ago and at that time, I reset the thermostat and then tried to reconnect to my WIFI. It is a Nest Learning Thermostat.

  • Zobo87 Zoë (@Zobo87) reported

@googlenesthelp Can someone actually help me and read what my problem is

  • conradwt Conrad Taylor #BlackLivesMatter (@conradwt) reported

@googlenesthelp @gmail It appears to be working now without me doing anything special. Thus, this issue can be closed and thanks so much for your assistance.

  • DrAnnoyedGrunt Steve (@DrAnnoyedGrunt) reported

@googlenesthelp I know you're a bot, but I think @Shudder could use your help fixing their app.

  • Patty_Lyons Patty (Needs WAY more coffee) Lyons (@Patty_Lyons) reported

After asking @googlenesthelp for a week what they did on THEIR end to screw my thermostats, you finally admitted there was a software update the day before my thermostats started randomly switching off my heat every day . . . STOP ASKING ME TO CHECK MY SETTINGS. FIX YOUR UPDATE.

  • HildahOtieno Hildah (@HildahOtieno) reported

  • muffie5005 Maureen Binkley (@muffie5005) reported

@googlenesthelp I have a nest thermostat 3rd generation and it won't connect to wifi. I've gone through all trouble shooting tips and can't get it to connect. It's been offline for 20 hours.

  • jordanyonodev jordydev (@jordanyonodev) reported

I got some funky hardware. Did a factory reset and all that jazz. Can’t find any WiFi networks. It gets stuck in some gnarly restart loop. I see tons of other people on YouTube have the same problem. Can you send me a new one? My house is getting really cold @googlenesthelp

  • Zobo87 Zoë (@Zobo87) reported

Hi @googlenesthelp no one is responding to my message. I’ve submitted the form and given you all the information but I keep on being told what I’ve already said is the problem. Yet still my doorbell is connected to an account that you’ve over ridden with a Google account.

  • RomaneVernet2 Romane Vernet (@RomaneVernet2) reported
