Since the forced Gemini rollout, basic features (hands-free calls, routines) are broken unless I hand over more data. Safety risks in the car too. Earlier this week I also discovered "shut the living room off" no longer does just lights, but everything in the room...including the thermostat. Garbage.

Electronics depending on online services need to be open-sourced if that online service goes away. @googlenest is currently rendering tens of thousands of WORKING thermostats useless because they are discontinuing service.
