@googlenesthelp I dont want to see the energy usage form the thermostat display, i am not at that location. I want to see if from my mobile device, bottom line it should be working properly, but its not. Fix it or I’m moving to another thermostat company

@googlenesthelp Well, hi! I didn't expect you to ride to the rescue! :) I assumed this was part of the Xcel decision to take control of thermostats because my issue was happening during the time frame the article discussed.

@BenPaulos @ohmconnect @googlenest Given the strident objections/obstruction drivers have launched against automated traffic cameras/tracking devices I am extremely skeptical they will allow utilities to put devices in their cars that "feel" like "privacy invasions." It's irrational, but ... *that's* the problem.

Holy ****, there is nothing I can do to delete the video history from my @googlenest camera. What a seedy piece of ****. No matter how many times I hit the button, nothing, no matter if I remove the device entirely and reinstall. It won't delete it. This feels criminal.

Is there a way to turn off notifications from a @googlenest cam when the camera is offline? I want to hook it up to a smart outlet so I can control power to it for piece-of-mind, but I don’t want to be notified any time it’s offline…

I swear. @googlenest is supposed to be a "smart" thermostat, but it does nothing that is smart. It goes into eco mode and lets me house get up to 83 degrees during the day while I'm literally here walking past it. It turns down to 68 degrees while it's freezing cold inside. WTF?

@googlenest / home integration will be a case study in bad product management and ux design - the entire thing is a disaster. I would say I expect more out of @Google, but at this point I don't. they're a 23 year old search ATM with six chat clients and a bunch of acquisitions.

@googlenesthelp You can take it as feedback, and here is some more feedback. The HVAC tech that I called said that NEST Thermostats have been the WORST to work on, and not user friendly, known to cause many problems! Good job Google with Nest & with lousy customer service.

@googlenest Google nest cameras are inefficient. If you don't have immediate access to camera when internet connection is broken your camera is useless. Buy something more reliable

@googlenesthelp Yesterday, it was 81 deg in my office (upstairs, and near the Nest). I opened the app and it was set to 77 I turned it down to 74, and nothing happened. The AC didn't kick on for about an hour. This hasn't happened before, which is why I believed it was tied to Xcel. /end

Guess I'm going on a #SmartHome #rant. Figured out my @googlenest learning thermostat is reading 4 degrees warmer than the room is. There's no behind wall daft and is insulated. The soft reset didn't help. And there's no apparent calibration option. #fail

@googlenesthelp The issue wasn't that the temp changed unexpectedly. The app and thermostat stopped responding. My Nest is set to 77, but when the inside temp was 81, it didn't start the AC. When I used the app to lower the temp 3 deg to kick start the AC, that did not work for 1+ hours.

@googlenesthelp Webpage: I authenticate with my Google account, then get redirected back to the Sign In page. Same in the iOS app. I got an alert email telling me that the authentication was successful and that I'm sharing my data with Nest. This has been installed/working for 3 years.

@googlenesthelp It's done it since I've owned it. Around 5 years. Camera is 30ft from router, nothing but an outside wall btween. Very disappointing. I've been lucky to have help. Tho camera is offline for 3-6 weeks

@googlenesthelp Every time internet goes out (storm, power outage) camera goes offline and doesn't reconnect to WiFi. This is a security camera 600 miles away from my home. I have no access to the camera. So it stays offline until I can get someone (security guard) to unplug or power off router

For the love of god, we just want our @googlenest thermostat to hold the temperature at 80 F. But it keeps overruling me and turning itself down to 72 F. Does it work LADWP or for us?

@dsngiem @googlenest did the same to me a few weeks back - explanation was that it was "pre-cooling" in anticipation of shutting down completely during a heavier load later in the day. still stupid though

@madebygoogle How do I reach someone in the United States GoogleNest customer support? Been trying to reach specialist for weeks for unresolved refund issue & every time I call, told only email possible. Emailed many times & response never addresses issue & never from specialist.

@googlenesthelp Having said that, I have a model Display-3.4, Backplate-5.4. I just have one, and the schedule is set to 77 deg 24/7. Sometimes I temporarily adjust it up or down depending on circumstances.

@googlenesthelp I’ve had 2 calls about my Nest Doorbell. The call I just had today ended abruptly after ~45min. My issue did not get resolved again & I was expecting a callback (considering they confirmed my # at the beginning of the call, in case this happens) - never got one 😤

@googlenesthelp What's the deal with your customer service. They force people to chat and go through dozens of steps over and over, just to tell the customer that theirs nothing they can do when it's a known issue and the warranty no longer applies? Disappointing..

@googlenesthelp Yes, I've experienced with both mobile data and Wi-Fi, but still the same issue. I've tried from the website, and everything is OK ... It seems a real problem with the app 🤔
