RespawnX (@XRespawn1) reported@playnewworld For us aussies Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), digital games must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description/promises (e.g., ongoing live-service MMO).If a shutdown makes it unfit/unplayable contrary to what was promised, it's a potential major failure → entitling refund/replacement (overrides "no refund" policies).

Problem is, MMO players generally don't enjoy PVP, and this game was originally made for PvP full loot type gameplay and shifted last minute to theme park. I put around 1k into the game during launch.

Pity it can't sustain; I'd sub for stability. At least the COGS should suffice to keep the service online with some margin.

(so it felt.)

Captain Killjoy (@earsinajar) reported@YaBoiWiilly @playnewworld We no lifed the game for weeks until it became clear they couldn't fix the unplayable lag in endgame. Never made sense to me that the World PvP was so good but then it's all decided in an INSTANCED zone that didn't work.

MMO_Bean (@rdj4014) reported@StanKnight0077 @Robovader123 @playnewworld I imagine those players weren’t actually loyal to the game only to trying go engagement farming when they were talking shite about the game. The game had its issues, but for me personally it was a perfect blend of everything I enjoy about an MMO and was really laid back. I’ve never been a min/maxed or hardcore PvP player though and I noticed most people that I saw complaining were hardcore PvP driven and the type to rush through content and then complain there wasn’t any.
