cogolloQuemado (@fideosConTuc0__) reported@playnewworld Will you release the base code and server configs so the community can run custom/private servers? It’d be the best move for players who kept buying currency when the game was empty and broken. It’s in your hands; if you can’t maintain it, the community can.

NO1 (@NO1Kn0wsss) reported@BagginsTV @ShultsyPlays @playnewworld bug issues isn't what he's referring to, its the lack of content for the past 2 years besides the last month of content, the game has had close to zero hits in terms of updates other than the revamped structures to zones.
-
Fat Tony (@FatManinavan) reported@playnewworld Thousands of hours invested in this game. Sad sad days. By far my favorite mmo of all time. Even with the many issues. Played since day 1
-
Bongglemania | Ottertuber📿🦦 | VtuberEN (@Bongglemania) reportedI think with the announcement of @playnewworld shutting down i'm in a place where im done sparing peoples feelings around it. New world had technical problems but in the end its community sentenced it to death. I played 1400 hours as a PvE
-
Bob1234x (@Bob1551x) reported@playnewworld I would love to play but there is always 1 hour waits to log in to my characters. you will lose me if you dont fix this crap
-
Kqbleb (@kqbleb) reported@Cheyenesku @ShultsyPlays @playnewworld Lmao the game died like 2 years ago. Nothing to do with corporate when they didnt fix some very very important aspects of their game like m3s.
-
Hoff (@hoffapproved) reported@towelthetank @summit1g @playnewworld Dude. If people love the game. They need to spend money on it. Plain and simple. This is a live service product with a cash shop. Be real.
-
Kamil Wójcik (@kamonke22) reported@DidItMyWayYT @playnewworld bro discovered game as a service xD Should have read the terms of agreement before accepting.
-
Mindwipe (@SoloMindWipe) reported@playnewworld Absolutely insane. Sure the game had issues and you lost a lot of players with those dumb server queues and the initial bugs, but shutting it down after this very good expansion...stupid.
-
Suspecttaken (@suspecttaken84) reported@playnewworld But why? This game had its issues but I still enjoyed it. Many people still play! Suits telling yall to end service because they can’t buy a 2nd yacht with it?
-
ZWOGs (@ZWOGsOfficial) reported@playnewworld Sell it to someone who can actually fix it. Because this game was incredible at launch and it only got worse for no reason. Give it to someone who can do the job. This is such a shame to see.
-
ᛏᚱᛁᛋᛏᚨᚾ 💍 (@tcubd) reported@S_Berry_82 @playnewworld You're not understanding that even if they had 10x more players, Amazon would have pulled it anyways. This is not a "game bad" problem.
-
KronoSol (@solariseTV) reported@towelthetank @playnewworld The last update is good, but let's be honest. It was still too little too late. People were doubting the profitability of the game since forever. Tons of bugs and issues went unfixed since launch and still are. The game always had potential but they never did reach it.
-
Michael Taylor (@mikerichtaylor) reported@elonsawankstain @Ayejess5101 @playnewworld The quality of these "seasons" is the issue, not division. The results are also self evident.
-
Ufiik (@UfiikSensei) reported@666718 @playnewworld We would be ''so back'' if this queue problem were solved, but almost 2 weeks have passed and nothing has been done. It's sad to see such a good game with terrible management
-
Propi (@Propii69) reported@GrumpyPawsTV @zzzSkadi @playnewworld The first year wasn’t **** either, the game was buggy and had a lot of issues but they were pumping out solid content updates while fixing everything at a solid pace, main one being the brimstone patch
-
ᛏᚱᛁᛋᛏᚨᚾ 💍 (@tcubd) reported@Sensiblelogic06 @S_Berry_82 @playnewworld 50k peak this month. If player numbers were a problem it would have been canceled when it was averaging 8k months over month 3 years ago. Stop defending corporate greed.
-
Essa (@EssaEssa1210662) reported@playnewworld still there is lagging in the game
-
KK (@KammyBuckets) reported@NWGameStatus @playnewworld Can you guys please fix the servers please 1000+ people in a queue
-
Ori Node (@Ori_Node) reported@playnewworld Trying to contact support about an ingame issue but frankly finding out HOW to contact support is impossible
-
Jenn 🐙 🔜 TwitchCon SD🌴 (@jenntacles_) reportedDevastated over this💔 From the player count & hype I really thought @playnewworld was back, my brain can't process this news My heart is broken for the NW team, they really did an amazing job on Nighthaven & didn't deserve this. Layoffs before the holidays are so diabolical
-
Doctor Destix (@doctordestix) reported@SometimesClutch @ShultsyPlays @playnewworld Not correct. Guild Wars 2 doesn’t have a sub and is still running. There are other games that function this way as well. The problem is that they botched the launch and damaged their image. Which I may add is the most important problem.
-
Spencer (@iSpencerEdwards) reported@playnewworld I think the subscription model is the way forward for MMOs. The way this game was monetized was very fair to the consumer, but not sustainable in the eyes of money hungry amazon. Creating and maintaining a live service MMO is a money pit and new world wasn’t bring in the $$$.
-
𝙎𝙄𝙀𝙂𝙀 (@MorriSiege) reported from Thornton, England@playnewworld I can handle the fact that there are queues on the server and I think it's great the game is popular again, but what I can't deal with is queuing from 6k+ (3+hrs) down to 1st position, only to be sent to the back of the queue!! Please fix this ****!!!!
-
Mike (@MoneySnXpes) reported@playnewworld Fix ur first encounter plz. I shouldn’t have to restart the raid every single time bc it bugs out
-
Rikku (@FindTheRikku) reported@4ngryBe4ver @playnewworld SG is Singapore. It'll be better for both Aus and Sea players. So ******* annoying to play this game with 150+ ms, meanwhile Aus doesnt have any problem with pings and its soo anoying to play pvp
-
Yhanabow (@culturecomplain) reported@LSXYZ9 @playnewworld Was also one of if not the most buggy game ever released sadly. Absolutely riddled with game breaking issues for a long long long time. Dead on arrival. One of the rare instances where the lay offs are fair given their performance.
-
Rio (@mseba2004) reported@amazongames @playnewworld this raffelbones bug closing extraction in catacombs is infuriating ******* fix it you actually have a good game mode
-
Olexander Kozynets (@Alex_Kozinets) reported@MMORPGcom @playnewworld There were many talented people, but still: The game engine was rubbish Overall game was a buggy mess that they couldn't fix The game had no vision of tge playing loop Decisions and changes lacked consistency and were constantly contradicting previous changes It was inevitable
-
RespawnX (@XRespawn1) reported@playnewworld For us aussies Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), digital games must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description/promises (e.g., ongoing live-service MMO).If a shutdown makes it unfit/unplayable contrary to what was promised, it's a potential major failure → entitling refund/replacement (overrides "no refund" policies).
