Fellow Platypus (@Fellow_Platypus) reported@playnewworld I’m getting sick of this bullshit now… fix the audio bug where it skips dialogue when confirming next step… it’s an old as **** bug too, how is this not fixed. Utter ******* bullshit.
-
Rio (@mseba2004) reported@amazongames @playnewworld this raffelbones bug closing extraction in catacombs is infuriating ******* fix it you actually have a good game mode

JJ Gloom (@kinoandnectar) reported@Verliswolf @playnewworld **** was a broken mess from the start
-
Jackred90☕ (@jackred90) reportedI am gutted, deeply sad and in a state of grief. It feels like after 1.7k hours like i've lost a friend. i met amazing people, forged friendships and had many laughter. I assume a live service game does not work anymore, Much like most MMOs. @playnewworld
-
cogolloQuemado (@fideosConTuc0__) reported@playnewworld Will you release the base code and server configs so the community can run custom/private servers? It’d be the best move for players who kept buying currency when the game was empty and broken. It’s in your hands; if you can’t maintain it, the community can.

Tame Token (@tametoken) reported@YaBoiWiilly @amazon @playnewworld 1. Gems don't work 2. Devs accidently left old perks on gear 3. Devs focused on Gay characters in main story quest 4. Economy and crafting butchered from update, mobs instant spawn and drop 4x 730 Gear 5. Catacombs glitched and can't finish run sometimes Game is broken.

TheFITHOtaku (@TheFITHOtaku) reported@playnewworld and @amazongames, I believe I speak for every #NewWorld player when I say, ADD MORE SERVERS AND FIX THE QUEUES! US West is a constant 2k queue ALL DAY. Server Queues on US East are RIDICULOUS. Longest one I was in was 8k for US East Valhalla >_>;... @YaBoiWiilly BRO

Brandon 🦅⭕️ (@bswagz88) reported@JexonHP @playnewworld It’s not about being cheap. It’s about transparency and consumer fairness. The devs clearly knew content development was winding down, that S10 was likely their last gasp, yet continued selling store items and DLC with no disclosure that the game was entering maintenance mode. That’s not equivalent to buying a movie ticket — it’s paying into a live service under the impression it’s ongoing. The ethics change dramatically when the service is knowingly winding down. Your argument hinges on false equivalence — comparing a complete, self-contained entertainment product (i.e., a movie or single-player game) with an ongoing live-service ecosystem that’s ending. A better analogy would be purchasing season tickets for your favorite sports team only to find out midway through the season that the team is dissolving the following season and during that next season the team won’t be playing any games — yet you can continue showing up to the stadium to purchase merch and food from the concession stands. There’s no perfect analogy for this sort of situation which is why GaaS are incredibly exploitative.

Andrewshark (@andrewshark91) reported@playnewworld What’s the point of live service games if they just keep shutting down..
-
Spencer (@iSpencerEdwards) reported@playnewworld I think the subscription model is the way forward for MMOs. The way this game was monetized was very fair to the consumer, but not sustainable in the eyes of money hungry amazon. Creating and maintaining a live service MMO is a money pit and new world wasn’t bring in the $$$.
-
SapTheseCasters (@SapTheseCasters) reported@playnewworld Take WoW for instance. The servers lag when there's a world boss in a zone, the customer support is literally chatgpt, the story was terrible or boring for years, so the endgame progression and collections are the only real reasons it's still going.
-
Kireto (Diego) (@Kiireto) reported@playnewworld PLS PLS PLS Fix the Spanish dubbing in the new area; the NPCs don't say anything and none of them speak Spanish.😶😶
-
Verlis (@Verliswolf) reported@StevenJSharif @amazongames @playnewworld New World is my favorite MMO of all time. After the first major updates a lot of launch problems were fixed and it became the best MMO that kept getting better but wasn't given a second chance
-
Michael (@Zargisan) reported@JeffBezos @playnewworld Then why are you shutting down such an amazing game? It has finally become what it was always meant to be. All of the issues have been fixed. The gameplay and combat are second to none. Then we get rug pulled. “Not financially feasible” is such a cop out.
-
cogolloQuemado (@fideosConTuc0__) reported@playnewworld Will you release the base code and server configs so the community can host custom and private servers? It would be at least the best move for players who stuck around and kept buying in-game currency even when the game was empty and broken.
-
QA das coisas (@Adakaris) reported@playnewworld It seems we're never going to have the perfect Action MMO RPG. Everyone that comes into the surface fails, one by one. It's a budget problem? Do you guys only hire non-rpg-players? The community always tells what needs to be done and no one is listening, wtf
-
ᛏᚱᛁᛋᛏᚨᚾ 💍 (@tcubd) reported@Sensiblelogic06 @S_Berry_82 @playnewworld Again. Player retention was not an issue for the game to operate, as Amazon was fine operating the game with an average of 8-10k for 3-4 years. It's not like they were expected to have 1 MILLION players for 5 years.
-
Shultsy 👾 (@ShultsyPlays) reported@BagginsTV @playnewworld What profit? The game made zero money in 5 years? I'd pull the plug too. This was the same dev team the entire life cycle. Same leadership except homeboy left. They had 5 years of free reign from Amazon and failed. That's a development problem that led to a corporate problem.
-
Hom Tuese (@TueseH) reported@andrewshark91 @playnewworld You obviously misunderstood the meaning of live service. It's a model to service money out of you while the game's alive (usually for the first 2 weeks)
-
Anemyre (@COGs_Anemyre) reported@bswagz88 @playnewworld This game still had a healthy player base. The issue comes down to Amazon owning it. They have no idea what they're doing in the gaming space and they're soulless, only looking at cost/benefit. Now that tech is cutting fat, it was inevitable the floundering game division would be cut
-
Shultsy 👾 (@ShultsyPlays) reported@SavvvoGames @JeffBezos @playnewworld This game made zero money in 5 years because of its development team. The game wasn't the issues, the leadership choices were.
-
RespawnX (@XRespawn1) reported@playnewworld For us aussies Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), digital games must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description/promises (e.g., ongoing live-service MMO).If a shutdown makes it unfit/unplayable contrary to what was promised, it's a potential major failure → entitling refund/replacement (overrides "no refund" policies).
-
ProimagensJR 💿 (@ProimagensJ) reported@playnewworld It's so sad to see news like this. My heart is completely broken now.
-
imjustkentaro (@im_just_kentaro) reportedStill at a loss for words over what #amazon did to #playnewworld. I thought maybe they would have shut it down years ago but to release this huge new update and make a solid effort to fix a lot of the issues with the game only to rugpull everyone is baffling.
-
Charles prevost (@YaBoyChuck85) reportedWhats up @playnewworld since the start of s10 i lose at least 10hour worth of ressources.. just because your game is bugged… can you please give us something for all your game crash. Because since right now im not doing new content at all because of you guys.. i mean Come on..
-
I Did It My Way (@DidItMyWayYT) reported@RenewedAurora @playnewworld It's not about the money, it's about sending a message. Either they give the community the ability to host their own servers or they give their money back, just accepting that companies can take **** off you whenever they run into financial trouble is insane.
-
Dermi (@0603_luke) reported@Haoshoku @LSXYZ9 @playnewworld But release was *** in any way. 1 year after the release they started to fix everything and the game was awesome. But no Promo, Not even for the add-on
-
Olexander Kozynets (@Alex_Kozinets) reported@MMORPGcom @playnewworld There were many talented people, but still: The game engine was rubbish Overall game was a buggy mess that they couldn't fix The game had no vision of tge playing loop Decisions and changes lacked consistency and were constantly contradicting previous changes It was inevitable
-
AD (@AD1396AD) reported@vobic13 @playnewworld Clearly it was already in the works, and almost finished anyway. What's your problem with the devs wanting to honor the customers one last time, despite being laid off? Stop with the clown logic.
-
Enomao (@Enomao86) reported@playnewworld We have to unsubscribe from any Amazon service we have contracted as a form of complaint. And in the reasons section, put closure "New World : Aeternum"
