People were doubting the profitability of the game since forever. Tons of bugs and issues went unfixed since launch and still are. The game always had potential but they never did reach it.

New world would do GREAT as Community hosted content or even as a sub based service as long as it wasn't pay to win. Remove the entire dev team, swap to sub base system. and start rebuilding with a team that gives a ****.

And, I must say that I certainly got my money's worth, what with the 770+ hours I've invested into the game. It's my cozy game. I enjoy leveling my gathering & crafting skills.
