Yhanabow (@culturecomplain) reported@LSXYZ9 @playnewworld Was also one of if not the most buggy game ever released sadly. Absolutely riddled with game breaking issues for a long long long time. Dead on arrival. One of the rare instances where the lay offs are fair given their performance.

They have no idea what they're doing in the gaming space and they're soulless, only looking at cost/benefit. Now that tech is cutting fat, it was inevitable the floundering game division would be cut

I thought maybe they would have shut it down years ago but to release this huge new update and make a solid effort to fix a lot of the issues with the game only to rugpull everyone is baffling.

The game is literally unplayable and no it’s not my connection I have wired gigabit internet 🤦🏻

The way this game was monetized was very fair to the consumer, but not sustainable in the eyes of money hungry amazon. Creating and maintaining a live service MMO is a money pit and new world wasn’t bring in the $$$.

You take money as people build up their accounts, then abandon them. Forget @playtlgame - People will quit/avoid that too. Forget future games.

Then comes along AI which will fix absolutely nothing but is CHEAP and there you go. Suits see money money money.

When Stadia ended Google refunded everyone for every game they bought, every month they were subscribed to the service, AND they even refunded hardware bought

Pity it can't sustain; I'd sub for stability. At least the COGS should suffice to keep the service online with some margin.
