@playnewworld If they're updating the server transfer, they probably need all servers down. This game is also 2 weeks old, I'm sure the server mx times will be improved

@orniallt @playnewworld And why exactly? Doing it Region dependent makes absolutely no sense in terms of infrastructure and quality assurance. Not to mention error cases where they have to roll back changes.

@HermanTremblay @playnewworld Shutting servers down, 5-10 minutes. Take backups, 40-60 minutes, apply patches, 10-15 minutes. Automated testing 30-60 minutes, manual testing 1-2 hours. Put a little buffer in for misc stuff and you quickly get to 5 hours.

@playnewworld This is not quite fixed, "Fixed an issue where the abandoning event notification could sometimes persist after the player abandoned the event." Sometimes it doesn't show for several hours, but there it is. If you die during one it shows up several hours later as well.

@elimeretv @playnewworld ques was scuffed is you had people from wrong regions joining which overwhelmed regions if the game launched every region at same time ques would of been fine it's the only mistake they made having impatient people that can't wait isn't there problem

@NoxieProxie @VexiusxWoW @playnewworld Some people work nights, Some people work from home, either way its still dumb to do the updates during the day and especially during peak times, just do it during the night and the problem is solved instantly.

@playnewworld Imagine, if you will, taking 2-3 hours to shut servers down, apply patch that was announced 12 hours ago and then restarting servers. Imagine taking more then 20 mins...

@luis_filip_oli @playnewworld Because updating servers one after another makes rolling back in case of errors extremely difficult. This is not copying two files on your windows PC, it’s a complex progress.

@orniallt @playnewworld Rolling back the changes isn’t the problem. The problem is that if you have globally controlled data, changing one server affects the consistency of all servers, in which case you successfully destroyed all servers with no option to roll back. Regards, big brain.

@AnimeOutrageus @playnewworld agree that they should just avoid giving exact date but as you realized the game has many bugs that has to be fixed. I read even that people new world randomly changed their character server. So probably they have to fix some of these too.
