Anyone having issues getting onto @playnewworld after today's Steam update, I was able to fix it by opening my installation folder, and running the EasyAntiCheat.exe to let it repair. Nothing else worked and also sounded very dodgy, this should be safe!

@DoubleA_Wright @Nachitogara @playnewworld found the update to fix. basically take same folder from another game like battlefield then replace EAC folder in new world verify game files and itll update and should fix issue when relaunch i am in the game.

Can’t play @playnewworld. Seems like a @Steam update broke the easy anti cheat certificate files. The annoying part is I can’t fix them because they are encrypted 🙃

@EverydayGamer26 @playnewworld Or y'know, fix the bug that's actually preventing people from playing the game at all... Sorry, while those do need fixed, something that's actively STOPPING people from being able to play is and should be a top priority.

@playnewworld Hey I'm getting an error upon launching it doesn't think that steam is running and says there's an unexpected steamappid.txt file. Pretty much nothing gets it working. Hopefully you guys can get a fix out soon! Thanks

@creativem0dz @playnewworld Here's a fix that worked for me Right click new world in steam > Local files > Browse > Open the EasyAntiCheat folder > Run "EasyAntiCheat_Setup" and click repair, then finish. Launch new world.

Go to game folder: steamapps/common/NewWorld then go into the EasyAntiCheat folder Double click the "EasyAntiCheat_Setup", when it loads up, select the game in the dropdown as "New World" if it isnt already. Then click "Repair Service". Should fix it

@playnewworld A lot of people are having trouble logging into the game re: Untrusted system files. This worked for me: Delete the contents of the Certificates folder under program files x86\steam\steamapps\new world\easyanticheat\

Anyone having trouble with #PlayNewWorld game not launching; Go to your program files x86 folder and find easy anti cheat. Copy the exe and paste it into your easy anti cheat folder wherever new world is installed. Then launch the exe and choose repair. Game should launch
