Yesterday's Rogers outage in Canada is demonstrative of why a @ShawInfo and @Rogers should NOT be able to merge. #Canada needs MORE competition - not the continued consolidation of oligopoly telco providers.

@katiewatt1992 @Faweezy @RogersHelps Considering even emergency calls were unavailable for tons of people, (along with other things), this hasn't been a small thing! My SO could've been admitted to hospital during this time with possible medical issues, and I only found out info after a long time. Not small at all!

@RogersHelps This outage isn’t over. I still have no internet. Why are you telling people it’s fixed when it isn’t? #Rogers

@RogersHelps You should take this message down until you resolve the situation. This is a shameless attempt at trying to make the situation look better than it actually is. Still tons of customers without service.

@RogersHelps I am not part of that "vast majority of customers". Neither are my family or friends. Almost 2 days without service. This is unacceptable. As soon as I can, I am switching to Bell. Sorry, but this is not the first time Rogers service suffers an outage.

@RogersHelps happy Saturday. Great to have Rogers Ignite service back up and running in my area of Willowdale. All devices working properly except for Ignite TV. Experiencing excessive judder. Picture and sound freezing up constantly on all channels. Some channels not loading.

@RogersHelps Y’all also have some audacity to gobble up most companies and then take this long to fix things when there’s an outage. You shouldn’t have this monopoly since you’ve essentially brought the whole country to a standstill for last 36 hours and haven’t even given us an ETA.
