@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Our call centres have been managed for decades this way. It was always a long hold on the phone for technical support. All the best on hold. It can be frustrating but help awaits...

@RogersHelps I spent 2 hours with them yesterday, which were the other option was cancelling and asking the customer to pay the early termination feee. Whereas the it is a network limitation of @Rogers .it ain’t such a remote location , the direct competitor @Bell has a 3gbps for the address

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Yes, exactly. They make millions or billions, but their customer support is often outsourced or centralized, so the person handling your case may not understand the specific local rules, regulations, or problems in your country/province.

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Rogers was one of the last of the big 3 who had all their customer service agents in Canada. Covid hit. Shaw merger happened. Ceo changed and they wanted a bigger profit so they laid off a majority of the Canadian staff in favour of the cheaper labour outside of north america

@JustMeJamie64 @Syed57961202 @Rogers The data is still in Canada and all the big banks and most if not all big Canadian companies require Canadian data and cloud service locations. But it’s the internet and can be accessed from elsewhere.

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Funny, I asked that question 8 weeks ago and got roasted for it. We have a job shortage in Canada, but Rogers has customer service all over the world and not here. Hmmmm.

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers I called for tech support, talked to a gentleman who spoke decent English with a semi-heavy accent, however the other gentleman in the background weren’t speaking English at all. I asked what all the background noise was and he said he was driving, using a car phone. 😭

@Rogers I have never dealt with such horrible customer support. I have been trying to move my son's internet services from for the past two weeks and have been unable to get through at all times and through all of your channels. Even went to your store. This is ridiculous!!

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers They outsource it to companies that have call centers around the world. Your call could be routed to one in Argentina, India, Morocco, etc Rogers has been winding down their Tier 1 Care team to reduce overhead
