@RogersHelps The scams are starting. You might want to put out a public service notice that you are not sending out text messages requesting people to follow the link for a credit back due to the outage. Please before people start falling for it and lose more $$$$.

@RogersHelps If it's still down in Toronto (where the company is headquartered), is it *really* fixed?

@DailyHiveTO Don't be a freaking idiot. Use your head. This absolutely wasn't just a maintenance update. So no, most of us absolutely don't believe them. They would've known right away if it was a "maintenance update". They're lying to everyone and I hope they crash and burn @Rogers

@RogersHelps only getting basic cable channels last 2 days, and even some of these now say “this service is currently not available. Please try again later” is this being fixed and on top of the “credit” we are getting for the internet outage are we also getting credit for cable?

@Sorghe @charlesadler @Rogers And some of us had already made the decision to change. Not that the others don't have issues, but this one was a big one! Fortunately my cell service is with a different provider. By the end of the week my other services as well. Minor but 24hrs of weather data not sent.

So we are still without TV and can't sign into anything. This goes for many others in my area as well. @rogers is wrong. "Most" people do not have full service back. And they continue to tell half truths. Rediculous after 3 days.

We simply cannot exist without access to the internet or cell service today. Emergencies happen. There needs to be a better emergency procedure in place, because whatever plan there was, didn't work. If there wasn't one, I'm embarrassed for you @Rogers 3/3 @CanadianPM

So in light of the @Rogers outage on Friday. News says the outage resulted from an update creating some malfunctioning routers. Most importantly, people were not able to contact Emergency Services. Solving the monopoly in telecom services won't happen overnight. 1/3 @CanadianPM
