@markghost45 I dumped Comcast because of poor customer service and got satellite but got screwed on the bill and now live-stream on Roku and love it. The only thing that will make it not work is if the electricity goes out, or the internet fails, and that's rare.

@Barnacules But will they EVER just allow me to stream from Google by talking to my Google home? Or cast video/pictures from my phone through the built in Google cast option, instead of fighting with their terrible mirror app? My $1400 smart tv is dumber than my $400 roku tv. :(

@Roku Have 2 other units..the new one is a pain in the ***...not cust friendly to activate as my email downloads at work and the ROKU is at the house....the 30 min window is not enough.....hard to be in 2 places at once. THINK OF CUSTOMERS first.

@4for4_John It’s alight. Did the job and had pretty good video quality with a 4K Roku, just a decent delay. Fantasy apps update before a play shows on ST to give you sense. Wish the 30 min replays were available all season.

@ColetteLala With all that being said, I use it primarily on my phone and laptop. Im not sure how it would work with a Roku or other streaming devices. I know some routers let you enable them for a vpn but im not sure which ones.

@RokuSupport Thanks. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone with an agent and wasn’t able to solve the problem. Seems like my internet provider isn’t accepting the Mac number of the roku- so the agent says I need to reach out to them. Really a pain that this started happening out of the blue

@NPSusa @atbarnes27 Roku or google tv will work, and yes you pay each service… Amazon has a section. You can get a new tv but not necessary. If you get a 4K tv make sure it has HDR, high dynamic range, I would just go for the Roku at this point. Cheap easy

If a genie gave me 3 wishes, I'd go with 1. World peace 2. A billion dollars 3. Fix most Roku streaming apps to make it easier to see where the cursor is when you're navigating menus.
