@skaushi @OphirGottlieb Got an email from Roku earlier that said they’ll work to keep YouTube tv available while they negotiate, so seems like they’re determined. Last week the email was the possibility of them not agreeing so I see it as progress.

@sschieffelin @YouTubeTV You wouldn't have to purchase a new tv. We have a Roku tv too and I hooked up a Chromecast with Google tv for $50. Better user interface and better image quality too. That being said, it would be nice if this could be resolved so you don't have to pay anything extra.

Just got an email from YouTube TV trying to put the blame on @Roku for their app being pulled. It's funny what Google will say and do to pretend that they're not the bad guys. Don't worry Roku, my family is canceling YouTube TV so we won't have an issue with the app regardless.

I never thought the 2020's would be defined by big tech companies throwing constant temper tantrums, but here we are. Google, Apple, Roku, Epic, Amazon, Netflix, Samsung, Disney, and on and on. We could have had interworking, seamless systems but no. Which tantrum is the worst?

@YouTubeTV @Roku Read the room YYTV. First Sinclair (Regional Sports Channels and Tennis Channel), and now this. While I am not excited to switch to AT&T TV, others, I will, and have, had no trouble doing so. You are positioned as the Satellite TV/Cable TV alternative with many channels.Not good.

@YouTubeTV The problem here is that you seem to think that youtube tv is somehow a unique and superior product. It's not. You add essentially nothing to the market. Roku, on the other hand, is not unique but is very much a superior product. Time to move on.

@YouTubeTV Unless you have a Roku enabled TV, I don't see this as a big deal. Chromecast with Google TV is way better interface IMO. Problem is that YTTV has turned into cable. Network losses & price increases for crappy networks to try add value. Al la carte is looking better and better!

@killedbygoogle Yeah consumers lose, but as pointed out by @RonAmadeo, Google makes/sells zero devices with AV1 support. Maybe Roku's issue is that Google wants them to spearhead AV1 support without any (economical) incentive from Google other than a "thank you" note?
