I wish you two, @Roku and @Crunchyroll could work it out that I could watch my subscription when I'm away from home and my Roku t.v. Letting me watch on smartphone.

@Roku POOR execution! great idea. I have many roku sound bars thinking they had all I want - WRONG! They all, within 9 months, have problems with: pairing to TVs, won't turn on TV or Roku box, sound crackles, Batteries drain FAST, etc. AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE reply! don't buy...

@Roku And like… if i reset the tv itll work sometimes, but its a big hassle, and after troubleshooting it appears to be a software issue with the update.

@Roku Trying to get ahold of Support on Roku is impossible anymore They have a chat section that doesn't work when pressed, I canceled my trial offer and still get charged for a month's worth! I think I'm going to have to end Roku now

@Roku the new update on the Roku tv is the worst **** I’ve ever seen and I hate you

@Roku UPDATE: I was proven wrong! The Roku TV in question suffered from a software bug, one that the company is aware of and is in the process of fixing. A small number of TVs experienced the glitch, and the company is working to address it. Roku's terrific customer support restored my faith in the company, and I'm so glad we don't have to replace this TV!

@MLB can you please fix your streaming app for @Roku and Apple TV so they don’t suck? EVERY SINGLE game I watch on ANY of my streaming devices stops at least 3-4 times per game with spinning circle of death. No other apps have buffering problems on my 1GB line and mesh WiFi.

@SaThomas__ I get it with every “smart” tv. Roku, Google, the Amazon thing… they all stink. Same class. All annoying. @Roku is no different to me. I had no problems with OTA tv, js

The biggest problem with our @Roku TV: It's not earning the company any money because it is stuck in an unfixable boot loop. I bought this TV at Best Buy three years ago. It was for an elderly family member. She loved it. Until she didn't. As I was packing for the StreamTV Show last month, she called me to say her TV kept rebooting itself. "It's stuck on the spaceship thing," she said. I had no idea what that meant. I gave her my Sony TV to use while I tried to fix the problem. And let me tell you something, I have tried literally everything. I searched online for a fix, and found a number of Roku TV users who have encountered the same thing: For no reason, their TVs just randomly started boot looping, and trying to download and reinstall the firmware through Recovery Mode was no help. Some people suggested holding down the reset and power buttons for a certain length of time. That didn't work. Others suggested draining "zombie power" by pressing the power button for a half-minute while the TV is unplugged. That didn't work. A few said connecting to a mobile hotspot while in recovery might work. It didn't. One person suggested hooking the TV into a router via Ethernet. Well, this TV doesn't have an Ethernet port. This is the second Roku-powered TV that has caused us an issue. The first was a Walmart Onn-branded TV that died after six months. I figured one of Roku's own TVs was a reliable replacement, because the company told us as much when it started making its own TVs a few years ago. Then, executives promised that shipping Roku TVs where the company controlled the entire supply chain would help it make better-informed decisions about how its users were interacting with their devices, which would lead to better hardware and software experiences. Ultimately, our issue likely boils down to this: Roku uses cheap hardware in its smart TVs and streaming boxes to keep costs low. Executives said as much earlier this year when they affirmed that the ongoing processor and RAM shortage was likely to be a boon for Roku's business, because the company's operating system doesn't require premium hardware to operate. But the decision to use cheap hardware also means that it is more prone to breaking, and that is a major problem for a company like Roku. The company's $1.1 billion platform business is inherently dependent on consumers having reliable hardware that allows them to interact with said platform. When streaming devices and smart TVs break, it not only prevents customers from using their platform, it leaves a sour taste in their mouths — and customers are prone to abandoning the platform for a competitor. Which, in my family member's home, is now what has happened. She's inherited my six-year-old Sony TV, and she loves it. She's not giving it back. It runs Android. There's a bit of a learning curve, but she's committed to figuring it out. "I'm done with Roku," she told me. "I hope Fox knows what they're buying." $ROKU

@Roku I have Backdrops set to start after 1 min of inactivity. It never starts on its own. I never had this issue with the photo streams app. It always started reliably. I've looked online for trouble shooting (like start it manually) then it might work once but not anymore

Hey @Hisense_USA @Roku, I bought a brand new 75" tv on july 5th and it's stuck in a boot loop out of the box. I've already tried every troubleshoot with support and emailed my receipt for escalation but now I'm being ghosted. Can someone actually help? Case # is S100002681

@mrhappybw @Roku Boooo. Thanks for the intel. And, well, sigh. If I wanted to go through all the hassle (with no guaranteed fix), I’d just as soon start using a different brand if I have to log into everything again 🤡 These tech companies really are entirely out of their minds

So @Roku just not going to address the issue they cause on the TCL and I assuming other TV’s with that horrible update or fix it? I am tired of having to reset things to get i to recognize the HDMI ports or them not be corrupted every day since.

@MatthewKeysLive @Roku Problem is... finding an actual "dumb tv" is almost impossible anymore. The business model for TV companies has shifted. They don't make $ when I buy the TV anymore.

@Roku ROKU got rid of their community support forum. Their TVs are now like the rest. When buying my next one, it will be which one has my apps and which one has the best price and picture quality. The support forum was a huge plus. Goodbye Roku.

@red_chem_lite @Roku My yorkie used to chew and we got bitters spray. That helped her a lot. Now she only chews on her toys. My other dog the bitters spray didn’t work as well but he eventually grew out of the chewing phase after a year or two. Maybe try the bitters spray on the remote cover?

@Roku Hi @Roku thanks but as I stated in the original post, it does it on all 4 of my Roku devices, so it is not a restart issue. Also, it is only the @MLB app. None of my other apps have this issue or other buffering. The MLB app does it multiple times per game and gets stuck.

@Roku The problem is that Roku is getting a kickback for recommending shows that no one watches, plus we already know what they are going to watch.

Since the latest @Roku update is trash and ruined the simplicity I loved with the device, which alternative should I go with? Thinking Firestick, although it will have similar issues, at least it is the most widely supported. Thoughts?

@Roku I know my internet is down right now, but why doesn't my "live tv" app work during this? I can watch the thumbnail and TV is working, but I'm stuck on that channel cuz the app itself won't load and allow me to change the channel. This is absurd

I have had it with @Amazon Fire Stick. I have a subscription to Shudder and Starz. I can no longer play them without buying a new subscription thru Amazon. I have a @Roku TV upstairs and have no issues playing my subscriptions. Today I ordered another Roku controller for downstairs. Shame on you Amazon. Bye fire stick. Just warning anyone who is thinking about fire stick.
