HockeyDad2A&Z (@HockeyDad2AandZ) reportedHey @Roku, no one asked you to do up the home screen. I used to be able to have HDMI 1 and 2 in the top row and now I have to go into the inputs to select them. That's stupid bullshit. I want my old home screen back. Not this fkng mess. Fix this.
-
Geoff Meador (@geoffmeador) reportedOur @Ask_Spectrum outage has lasted all morning and USA vs AUS is coming up, so I just switched our @Roku TV to OTA antenna… except, in the most idiotic decision imaginable, watching antenna TV on Roku apparently requires a working internet connection now. 1/2

Osondu Esonwune (@OsonduEsonwune) reported@Roku @norcal06warrior Roku I’m having the same issue on the Netflix app on my Roku tv
-
Greg Spencer (@gspence1) reported@Roku had to sign into @AppleTV AGAIN. This is what I see. It’s the correct password. Only option is to exit out and do it again which gets me to same blank screen. It’s always Apple that I have issues with.

Heather O'Brien✍️ (@RealHeatherOB) reportedI have no idea what anyone else thinks, but @Roku's new Home Screen adds are awful!! There is NO way to remove the adds. All they do is clutter up the screen. I've used Roku for over a decade. Bought several, including for others - just loved them. Now? They're so annoying, I may need to find an alternative. It's just not for me. And they don't even let me "hide" them. Not cool. I neither need nor want all this junk.
-
shelby #ExtendAdley (@bigshelbss) reported@Roku your new Home Screen layout is dogshit fix immediately

Ben (@Fly_Guy79) reported@Roku ya its terrible. where the save list go? terrible ui change. glitchy screen freezes. back up job nerds
-
Meghan S (@DrMeghanS) reported@red_chem_lite @Roku My yorkie used to chew and we got bitters spray. That helped her a lot. Now she only chews on her toys. My other dog the bitters spray didn’t work as well but he eventually grew out of the chewing phase after a year or two. Maybe try the bitters spray on the remote cover?

Mare Loch (@Mare_Loch) reported@Roku Hey! Fix your closed captioning! Doesn’t even work on your own commercial channels. You know, the channels that show commercials every two minutes? Do you hate the hearing impaired or what?
-
FrancisCOM. (@fmarqueze) reported@roku now it turns out that if I don't have internet I can't watch broadcast TV. What a terrible system, I'll never buy a TV with Roku again.

Matthew Keys (@MatthewKeysLive) reportedThe biggest problem with our @Roku TV: It's not earning the company any money because it is stuck in an unfixable boot loop. I bought this TV at Best Buy three years ago. It was for an elderly family member. She loved it. Until she didn't. As I was packing for the StreamTV Show last month, she called me to say her TV kept rebooting itself. "It's stuck on the spaceship thing," she said. I had no idea what that meant. I gave her my Sony TV to use while I tried to fix the problem. And let me tell you something, I have tried literally everything. I searched online for a fix, and found a number of Roku TV users who have encountered the same thing: For no reason, their TVs just randomly started boot looping, and trying to download and reinstall the firmware through Recovery Mode was no help. Some people suggested holding down the reset and power buttons for a certain length of time. That didn't work. Others suggested draining "zombie power" by pressing the power button for a half-minute while the TV is unplugged. That didn't work. A few said connecting to a mobile hotspot while in recovery might work. It didn't. One person suggested hooking the TV into a router via Ethernet. Well, this TV doesn't have an Ethernet port. This is the second Roku-powered TV that has caused us an issue. The first was a Walmart Onn-branded TV that died after six months. I figured one of Roku's own TVs was a reliable replacement, because the company told us as much when it started making its own TVs a few years ago. Then, executives promised that shipping Roku TVs where the company controlled the entire supply chain would help it make better-informed decisions about how its users were interacting with their devices, which would lead to better hardware and software experiences. Ultimately, our issue likely boils down to this: Roku uses cheap hardware in its smart TVs and streaming boxes to keep costs low. Executives said as much earlier this year when they affirmed that the ongoing processor and RAM shortage was likely to be a boon for Roku's business, because the company's operating system doesn't require premium hardware to operate. But the decision to use cheap hardware also means that it is more prone to breaking, and that is a major problem for a company like Roku. The company's $1.1 billion platform business is inherently dependent on consumers having reliable hardware that allows them to interact with said platform. When streaming devices and smart TVs break, it not only prevents customers from using their platform, it leaves a sour taste in their mouths — and customers are prone to abandoning the platform for a competitor. Which, in my family member's home, is now what has happened. She's inherited my six-year-old Sony TV, and she loves it. She's not giving it back. It runs Android. There's a bit of a learning curve, but she's committed to figuring it out. "I'm done with Roku," she told me. "I hope Fox knows what they're buying." $ROKU

Bryan Wayne (@mrhappybw) reported@BrianKemm @Roku Mine is the hdmi ports are corrupted and it is for sure on them as I tried different cable even used a different TV and no issue. If I unplug cables and do an audio/visual reset it will “fix” it for a day then it comes back. It is listed as known issue since update.

Stepford Diana (@StepfordDiana) reported@Roku You've removed the option to cancel a paid app subscription on the new homepage I need help

CBJ (@chrisbjohns) reported@Roku one of your updates completely crashed my Roku brand TV. Any support tips? This seems to be a common issue in recent weeks.
-
steve (@steve48717445) reported@Hisense_USA @Roku Apps will just crash. Don’t get a Hisense. I have to get a new tv
-
Rob Ables (@rables73) reported@Roku Hi @Roku thanks but as I stated in the original post, it does it on all 4 of my Roku devices, so it is not a restart issue. Also, it is only the @MLB app. None of my other apps have this issue or other buffering. The MLB app does it multiple times per game and gets stuck.

The Diary Of A Social Gal (Stephanie Dolce) (@AxTheEx) reported@Roku how come I can’t create an account and I only have to sign in as a guest!? what kind of stupid set up is this?
-
Ritentune (@Ritentune) reported@Roku If you are experiencing some issues using TABLO, try hiding “Quick Access” and “Recommended Rows”. Both mess with the cache and sticking with the basic display seems to work much better. Trying to mess around with AI sometimes causes more problems than anything else!
-
Heather Larson 955,703 (@WriterHeatherL) reported@SaThomas__ I get it with every “smart” tv. Roku, Google, the Amazon thing… they all stink. Same class. All annoying. @Roku is no different to me. I had no problems with OTA tv, js
-
Unapologetic Deplorable (@Squirdlok) reported@RepTheDMV @livenowfox Good eye. I am also terribly upset by the piss-poor quality of the breaks on the ROKU Channel. Chopped all to Hell! Does @Roku let AI run it's board? High-School rookies could do a better job!
-
Fletch will return in Avengers Doomsday (@IMFletcher2) reported@BigKorn80 @Roku That doesn't work now.
-
Nomadic Aaron ✝️ (@AaronWL42) reported@Hisense_USA So I call Hisense and they were helpful but didn't fix the problem. They referred me to @Roku support. After a brief time on the phone with them the issue was corrected. Both were helpful which frankly is surprising these days.

Hugh Jorgen (@hughjorgen921) reported@Roku I have purchased numerous Roku devices, but all were purchased as appliances, not applications or services… your new home screen is quite possibly the worst intrusion of all. You are either assuming to know how we use our appliances, or you are spying on us. @DOJFraudDiv

Keri Marie (@KeriMarie317366) reported@Chrisg19722015 @Roku It sucks! Don’t fix what’s not broken 😠. I agree 100% Chris!

DenyTheMarkClub™ (@DenyTheMarkClub) reported@Roku tv is by far the WORST! They are unstable and CANNOT manage their Products...I want my money back on this JUNK!!! (NOTE to self: Buy ANY product other than ROKU)

Matthew Smith (@MattSmithFOX13) reported@KirkYuhnke @MatthewKeysLive @Roku Our dumb TV is 10+ years old — biggest issue we’ve ever had: a volume button is a little touchy. We’ve swapped out smart tech multiple times, always on sale. Likely saved us a crazy amount of $$$ in a decade-plus.
-
ky baby (@__kbolaydiggs__) reported@Roku might be the worst TV brand ever. Remotes never work, when you try to use a mobile remote it can never connect to the TV.. Let’s get it together.

Chris Miel (@Chris1John3) reported@Roku is not working this morning. Looks like it got hacked ? Anyone else ?
