@timacheson Selling is what buyers encourage. Roku is one of many flimsy outfits that will be culled, but real companies aren't going anywhere- every crash is an opportunity.

@HBOMaxHelp it’s been more than a week and all I get are 3 dots then the black screen and nothing else. This is on all my Roku devices. I’ve cleared the cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, checked for updates, unplugged/Replugged and nothing works. Local tiny out of state apps work.

@slinganswers @slinganswers this is what I had DM'd it's not an HDMI issue as it's a philips Roku smart TV and I use the sling app on the TV. I have done a lot of things like uninstalled the sling app reinstalled it. Done a complete factory reset to the TV but nothing has helped.

Finally finished SmackDown. I’m back on this broken app. Did you know the Fox app for Roku is total ****? Logged in with my satellite provider and the app’s streaming video still stopped on me, like, every five minutes or so.

@NYCFCFan4 I mean it also includes 25% of Roku's money. It's the number #15 bank in the world. Idk if all the people at Roku deserve it. That said, the bank still has a bunch of assets so I think this will work out with FDIC providing a bridge loan and that wouldn't be tax payer based.

@Mayhem4Markets Fire the entire treasury and risk mgmt team. We hold 100m$ cash and the CFO and I scrutinize a lot quarterly the allocations and credit risks of every bank we use. Still for those amounts we work with 20 banks. Idiots at roku.

@elaifresh I an not a banker either and I have no non-public information but I think there is likely a significant difference in quality of "deposits" between the ~$500M of actual US dollars that Roku has lost, and whatever the various crypto fraud startups may have had parked there

@simon_ree @john_ennis_btc For a big company like ROKU that is stupid, I heard they had loan covenants but still not worth it. Bigger issue is SMBs that require millions in NWC. Most lack the sophistication or funding to hire a team to handle treasuries and could be devastated if they lost that money.

@simon_ree Rough estimate is SVB's assets are worth 80 cents on the dollar. That means worst case scenario Roku takes $100 million haircut. Not great but not the end of the world for them by any means.

We must make roku whole! Bail out SVB so roku can have their $ back!! This is crucial to the innovative economy and without this $ roku and the entire tech complex will crash. Every community, small, and regional bank will have runs on them if roku doesn’t get their cash back!

@sues86453 American banks might be seen as unreliable and risky if Roku and some other high profile customers are trashed by SVB's failure. They withdraw deposits making the problem for banks struggling with devalued Treasury Notes even worse.
