  10:45 PM: A planned SaskTel outage will occur on March 11, from midnight to approximately 6:00 a.m., while crews complete permanent fibre repairs related to last year’s wildfire damage. During this window, Internet, wireless, and landline (home and business) services will be unavailable across multiple Northeast Saskatchewan communities, including Sandy Bay, Brabant Lake, Geikie River, Wollaston Lake, Black Lake, Key Lake, McArthur River, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, Stony Rapids, and Fond‑du‑Lac. This work is necessary to repair the damage and ensure the long‑term reliability of services in the area. SaskTel apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may cause and thanks customers for their patience while crews complete the work as quickly as possible. In the event of an emergency, residents in and around these communities will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance. #skoutage

  @nationalpost @financialpost Sinking billions of our tax dollars into a bubble just before it bursts isn't what Canadians want, take that money and create a public telecom like SaskTel to give Canadians a better option than the high priced garbage we get from the big 3.

  Just thinking out loud…how nice would it be to head down for supper before walking to an arena for a playoff hockey game. Wouldn’t work cause not enough parking for 4 vehicles at the restaurant. Oh well. Now time to join everyone on a bus to Sasktel center. @cityofsaskatoon

  3:30 PM: We are aware of issues with SaskTel Wireless Cellular Data services. Customers May experience Slow or no Wireless data in various locations. We are working to fix this issue as quickly as possible and will update this post when more info is available. #SKoutage

  @alexmarz @SaskTel It would be a dumb move. If I switch to a free email, there's no reason to stay with SaskTel. I can take a 'new customer' deal from any ISP.

  SaskTel is aware of the issue and are working on a solution. Once service has been restored, we can provide an update. We do not have an estimated time for restoration of full phone service. 2/2
