SaskTel Support (@SaskTelSupport) reportedOn March 25, 2026 - Crews will be completing scheduled maintenance on the satellite network that supports SaskTel Landline Phone services (Home Phone and Business Phone) in Kinoosao. The outage is expected to last approximately 8 hours. The exact timing of the service interruption cannot be confirmed in advance. During the outage, residents who require emergency assistance should physically contact another person for help or visit your nearest health clinic or RCMP detachment. SaskTel apologizes for any inconvenience this service interruption may cause and thanks customers for their patience while the work is completed. #skoutage

B (@SKnewstalk) reported@sasktel is part of the reason SK families are so broke. The crown Corp is broken and needs to be put back in its place by @PremierScottMoe that means taking a step back to your roots of providing a valuable service at an affordable price, not gouging sk families.

Jason Jankoski (@jjjankoski) reported@ExnerPirot @BramRecorder I agree, our prices in SK are in the ball park, if not a little higher. What Sasktel does do is invest more in infrastructure for our vast rural areas than regular providers would. I'm OK to pay a "little" more for that and we support them for that reason.

Neighbour has been in her home a week and today Sasktel is parking in MY driveway to install her internet.... *sigh*. It's ok, I really didn't want to leave the house to get stuff done today anyway....

Telus has been good to me but I am keeping a close watch on them as they silently creep their prices up

Effective April 1, 2026, the provinceβs crown corporation will manage installation, equipment purchases, and billing in-house for qualifying rural businesses holding a valid GST number. This initiative directly supports small farms, mines, and forestry operations in areas where traditional fibre or broadband infrastructure remains costly and slow to deploy. Existing Starlink Business customers can switch to SaskTel billing at no charge, allowing them to consolidate services seamlessly. The move represents a meaningful advancement in closing the connectivity gap for rural Saskatchewan enterprises.
