  🚨 SaskTel partners with Starlink to boost connectivity for rural businesses SaskTel has formed a strategic partnership with Starlink to deliver high-speed business internet services across Saskatchewan. Effective April 1, 2026, the province’s crown corporation will manage installation, equipment purchases, and billing in-house for qualifying rural businesses holding a valid GST number. This initiative directly supports small farms, mines, and forestry operations in areas where traditional fibre or broadband infrastructure remains costly and slow to deploy. Existing Starlink Business customers can switch to SaskTel billing at no charge, allowing them to consolidate services seamlessly.   @Prominent_Bryan Sounds great but it will probably just result in more bad decisions. For example, the Sask Party and trying to sell off Sasktel to balance the budget like a bunch of retards.

  Love seeing all the hot takes about "if you think leaving SaskTel Centre is bad wait until we have to try and leave a downtown arena!" Aren't there are many many routes out of downtown rather than one bottlenecked parking lot?

  @SaskTel Your commercial about disability is awful. Why not show persons with disability in positions commensurate with their education etc. I have a Masters degree, I don’t work in a mail room.

  @here4fredom @realnikohouse I get 900 Mbps down and 500 Mbps up on SaskTel in Saskatchewan. I've seen DOCSIS providers offer 2Gbps down and 1Gbps up, but they don't offer publicly rout able IPs.

  And all 3 also operate under their own names So you got a total of 9 different carriers, but in reality it's actually 3 Videotron, Freedom, and Sasktel are the only independent cell providers in Canada There was MTS (Manitoba Telecom Service) but Bell took them over in 2017

  I wonder if I even need to switch my cell phone provider from @SaskTel to @TELUS or @bell when I move to BC. Coverage might be an issue, otherwise, does it even matter if I keep a saskie number?

  February 10th – 400 block of Bowman Crescent – ongoing – impacting approximately 190 customers. SaskTel crews are working to restore service as quickly as possible, however there is currently no estimated time of repair.
