-
Bri šš³ļøāā§ļø (@tgirliebri) reportedAnd all 3 also operate under their own names So you got a total of 9 different carriers, but in reality it's actually 3 Videotron, Freedom, and Sasktel are the only independent cell providers in Canada There was MTS (Manitoba Telecom Service) but Bell took them over in 2017

Kyle (@k_ramsay3) reported@MelissaLMRogers @TELUSsupport It's a monopoly. Just like grocery. Everything has been monopolized. There's no competition to drive it down. Saskatchewan I believe has cheaper prices because sasktel is competition
-
RK (@Freedom_Saskie) reportedStarlink made deal with Sasktel,a crown corp. Sasktel will manage account and can demand service cancelled. Sounds to me like a foundation for a blackout if Sask rise up against the gov. Know this, We can still deal with Starlink direct and bypass the Crown for now. see šš

Paplinski (@tpaplinski) reported@cselley There does exist in several iterations, what he describes. Co-op is an example, higher per item price with an equitable profit share There is Sasktel as a government owned service provider. Less customer service, higher prices, zero profit motivation.
-
Courtney B (@Courtne50245242) reported@SaskTelSupport Any updates for Warman services? SaskTel is quite simply the worst internet service provider out there. At very least we should see a credit on our bill, since @SaskTel gouges customers any chance they get.
-
SK Jo (@invigilator4) reported@fanCRTCProfling Some of that will be remote locations. Land costs should actually be lower than average because the towers are going up on cheap or free land. (ie. White Fox tower went up on Sasktel's lot it already owned for the service shed) So that makes it even more suspect.
-
Sean Edwards š¾ (@EdwardsAcres) reported from Raymore, Saskatchewan@RobWarkentin @SaskTel @davisinst Not sure. I've never tried.
-
ConcernedCitizen (@ConcernedDually) reported@alexmarz @SaskTel @Telesat **** your government internet. You can pay for it too
-
Jabberwocky (@JabberwockyP) reported@SassBot69 @RomeTimed @theJagmeetSingh Yeah. However, it wasn't just SaskTel and MTS that offered those prices. Rogers, Bell, and Telus matched. So that leaves 2 possibilities. Either they lost money on providing service there for that price (gouging the rest of us to make up for it) or it was still profitable.

Darren 5 šā»ļøšš³ļøāšš³ļøāā§ļø (@darren8546) reported@BShane555 @NoGunsInCanada The only thing stopping Moe from selling off Sasktel (one of the very few remaining crown corporations), is that no one wants to by a phone company with less than a million subscribers in a service area covering 650,000 sq km.
