@David_Moscrop It's a shame too because from what I hear, SaskTel is great, imagine if every province had an equivalent + the feds. So much more competition, shouldn't capitalists be down for that? Competition in the market is great! Why not break up the monopolies too?

@SaskTelSupport I just lost the item I've been waiting for 5 days to bid on because your internet is once again not working thank you sasktel for your horrible service, I'll be sure to tell everyone i know how great your service is.....

@theguelphguy96 I'd love a crown corporation. Like a federal version of sasktel. A public alternative would help keep the private market in check and vice versa. We should do public auto insurance while we're at it.

  • immerc IM Merc (@immerc) reported

@FP_Champagne It's a problem that the "heads of the major telecom companies" is 3 people. Your next meeting should be with the heads of *minor* telecom companies asking what they need, and with SaskTel to see if a crown corp. should own the infrastructure.

@SaskTel It’s less of a help thing and more just me curious when fibre optic is going to eventually make its way to Watrous.

  • jarvismeier Jarvis Meier (@jarvismeier) reported

I can’t remember the last time @sasktel had had a major outage like @rogers due to the incompetence of employees. One more reason to support your regional carriers.

  • DuckinFickhead 🤘😎 (@DuckinFickhead) reported

She's in West Virginia, USA 🇺🇸 I'm near Craik, SK, Canada 🇨🇦 I can't call her without getting a SaskTel recording about "long distance charges". She can call me, can hear me, but I can't hear her. Thus, WTF. Y'all figure it out.

@SaskTel Especially with prepaid when you already have the funds prior to service. 🖕I demand a free 3 months of service lying ********

  • calmudge0n Cal Deobald (@calmudge0n) reported

Let me tell you about where our (mine and my neighbour's) phone lines actually run. They travel down the back alley from a Sasktel ped on my north property line. They skirt past a power pole on my south property line (where they got severed today).

  • DJWLake Daniel Westlake (@DJWLake) reported

@David_Moscrop Public provision along the lines of SaskTel seems more interesting, but I don't think we should assume that crown corporations are immune from software upgrade problems.
