@SaskTel @drsusanshaw Hey Sasktel, Other carriers are providing a service that when the call goes through, the caller needs to press another random digit before the call is completed. The kills robo calls.

@SarcasticHoney @kim_siever Because they aren't providing a public service. If there is no money in it they'll leave. Private cell phone carriers won't install towers in remote communities for the same reason. But Sasktel does.

We’re calling for the Sask. Party to stop with the lip service. To put the money where their mouths are, and to treat this as the priority it needs to be, forgo taking a dividend from SaskTel in budget, so they can invest in making connectivity happen while keeping rates low.

@tammyrobert Wait. Just wait. I had to look this up. SaskTel's cell service started in 1989. Romanow and Calvert (91-2003). The claim is that during foundational years, there were no cell towers built? 21 years since the NDP's been in. Why the sweet hell is this a talking point?

Wotherspoon says government took $110 M from SaskTel. This could have been invested. Will the gov't put money where mouth is and treat this as a priority and let SaskTel invest.
