That is the catalyst for some of the most sick and vile people to flock towards SoT. The usual culprits are the flag pushers. They are a massive part of the problem, that very small, very vocal clique of players whom should not be trusted blindly in positions of power.

Also, putting "their people" on public prangers could get them into legal issues too, which might be the main reason for them to do it "behind the scenes" in the first place.

First thing they should've done would've been put the people in question on leave until issues are pointed out. But then again, it's not the fault of most of the company. It's the fault of PR and also HR.

But not server issues. If anything, high end PCs with uncapped FPS and/or max graphics cause more server strain. But even that isn't the underlying issue.

But that has nothing to do with the rest of the dev teams. The people building the game don’t control staffing or policy decisions. Expecting those people to stop working because of failures in another department isn’t right, and blaming them for issues they have no authority over makes all of us who have been talking about this look stupid. j0 has been actively deleting evidence during an ongoing investigation (which is illegal). And Shirah has been deleting peoples messages in the discord who speak up about this. That is who the community should be against.

I will now only play to unlock achievements as they are added. I am done. For that, I am thankful. @SeaOfThieves, forcing me to sit through 30+ minute queue times to get into a game with cheaters, I am just not doing it. Since this will be the first set of cosmetics since launch that have been obtainable to everyone in the player base I wont get, I see no reason to keep trying. The streak/curse has been broken, It was a good run. Now, back to Forza Horizon 6.

Copper🔜 SoTFest 2026 Panelist (@Coppertailwolf) reported@coldsot_ @SeaOfThieves I had this bug in insiders- because it was testing I didn’t leave and saw it thro and had people pissed but I was like “literally following through on the testing- the entire purpose of right now” That being said I got the same bug yesterday and scuttled cause I don’t want to win like that XD it’s a very broken bug - you’re untouchable too outside the ring closing in. I imagine a lot of people will do the same in that situation, but unfortunately a lot won’t.

We have Community Managers behaving unprofessionally, Discord mods acting like they rule the world, and both think they're above the rest of us. United in censoring discussion around individuals who have absolutely ZERO place in this community and pose an actual threat to everyone in it. All while players are constantly being gaslit by those same CMs and mods into believing the community isn’t in complete disarray when it very clearly is. What makes this even worse is that these are the very people whose job is supposed to be upholding the community’s values, the Pirate Code, and Microsoft’s Terms of Service. But it feels like nothing is being enforced at all. Situations like this are 100% avoidable too. If the CM team had genuinely listened to the community and addressed these concerns and allegations early on and did something about it, things never would have reached this point. To be clear, this issue has absolutely nothing to do with the production or creative development side of the game. Please don't tag developers, artists, designers, or other team members into discussions they have no involvement in. Our criticism and calls to action are specifically directed at the community management side of Sea of Thieves. That team needs serious retraining, and a reevaluation of whether certain individuals even possess the requirements needed to continue representing the Sea of Thieves community in their current roles. Even with the actual game issues currently, I still have some hope for a future. But it's going to be very hard to trust Rare moving forward, and they are going to need to do some major work to gain player's trust back.

Master (@Lotus_Koril) reported@shanksy32 @SeaOfThieves Bonecalles were essentially a win button on solo sloopers and a huge problem on duo sloop. This has nothing to do with skill issue, they were just unbalanced, especially if you don't like playing the sword.
