But the real issue many won't spend money is because many sets look absolutely out of place

It’s whoever is managing the teams, leading rare, their marketing, and the CMs that are driving it into the ground. Devs could be more competent, but I suspect issues with tech debt, budget, resource allocation and lack of direction to be the culprit

No one said Sot's conditions are great; in fact, S20 and up should have zero errors. But it doesn't do you credit to behave like this.

AboutSelphy (@AboutSelphy) reportedSome @SeaOfThieves viewers/streamers really need a reality check on what cheating actually looks like. Watched a streamer get sniped 3x in an hour today. The fights were suspicious (insane air shots, constant mid-air hits, etc.), but the chat was screaming "cheater" for things that were easily debunked. Ladder speeds were normal on VOD, and "insta-kills" were just players not being full HP. It’s easy to lose cool live, but we have to analyze before we accuse. Grateful the streamer kept a level head. The REAL issue? Public sites still exist that track specific players and server ship counts. How is this still live after a months? Cloudflare should be handing over data for a lawsuit at this point. Hoping this reaches the right eyes. @ChappersChapman @S0nicbob

Sure there's a cheater problem, but there's also ways around it ESPECIALLY for a new player. And updates haven't been the same, but that doesn't matter to a new player. Let them have fun.

Even with the actual game issues currently, I still have some hope for a future. But it's going to be very hard to trust Rare moving forward, and they are going to need to do some major work to gain player's trust back.

They say its PvP game but the PvP aspect is whats the problem. Outside of janky hit boxes, there's no natural progress in skill when it comes to PVP. Thr gap is huge.

Also, putting "their people" on public prangers could get them into legal issues too, which might be the main reason for them to do it "behind the scenes" in the first place.

Nevermind the lack of trust from the current game issues, this happening has been a major black spot on this game/studio. I still have a sliver of hope left, but frankly I am not holding my breath.

KingHotdogPig (@KingHotdogPig) reportedI can’t even put into words how disheartening it is to see #SeaOfThieves in the state it’s currently in. We have Community Managers behaving unprofessionally, Discord mods acting like they rule the world, and both think they're above the rest of us. United in censoring discussion around individuals who have absolutely ZERO place in this community and pose an actual threat to everyone in it. All while players are constantly being gaslit by those same CMs and mods into believing the community isn’t in complete disarray when it very clearly is. What makes this even worse is that these are the very people whose job is supposed to be upholding the community’s values, the Pirate Code, and Microsoft’s Terms of Service. But it feels like nothing is being enforced at all. Situations like this are 100% avoidable too. If the CM team had genuinely listened to the community and addressed these concerns and allegations early on and did something about it, things never would have reached this point. To be clear, this issue has absolutely nothing to do with the production or creative development side of the game. Please don't tag developers, artists, designers, or other team members into discussions they have no involvement in. Our criticism and calls to action are specifically directed at the community management side of Sea of Thieves. That team needs serious retraining, and a reevaluation of whether certain individuals even possess the requirements needed to continue representing the Sea of Thieves community in their current roles.
