Even with the actual game issues currently, I still have some hope for a future. But it's going to be very hard to trust Rare moving forward, and they are going to need to do some major work to gain player's trust back.

Nevermind the lack of trust from the current game issues, this happening has been a major black spot on this game/studio. I still have a sliver of hope left, but frankly I am not holding my breath.

But just because another game has a pirate theme, doesnt mean it can replace sot gameplaywise. These other games just arent for me, as they cant replace what i like on sot.

I am allowed to choose whose content I want to support as a result. The problem is that these things have been going on for years at this point. It could have been prevented if Rare stepped in and stopped CM a long time ago. Rare is 100% accountable for who they have representing their game. CM are representatives. I ain't gonna force anyone to step down or take a stand, but if it appears that someone is trying to leverage a charity stream to boost their numbers and appear as a good person, for a charity that doesn't actively help OUR victims, I'm unfollowing them. If they are the least bit fake, I'm unfollowing. That's my choice and no ones gonna miss me around...so the decision is most likely mutual anyways. I absolutely do want to see a bigger push though and nothing is going to change without it. Hell, some streamers haven't mentioned it but they have been streaming other games lately...silently protesting already despite making a statement. Kudos to them.

The fights were suspicious (insane air shots, constant mid-air hits, etc.), but the chat was screaming "cheater" for things that were easily debunked. Ladder speeds were normal on VOD, and "insta-kills" were just players not being full HP. It’s easy to lose cool live, but we have to analyze before we accuse. Grateful the streamer kept a level head. The REAL issue? Public sites still exist that track specific players and server ship counts. How is this still live after a months? Cloudflare should be handing over data for a lawsuit at this point. They hide behind the "there is no rule against it" and "people have the same ideas" quotes as well as the "I didn't see that shot" while later their dms are exposed of them thinking they have more SoT Clout than the original so it's fine. Can @SeaOfThieves just start making note of these people and groups who copy and steal? The community has plenty enough issues as it is already. BTW, attached is the original SotShot (from 3 weeks ago), and I hope the original creator reposts this shot and it rightfully wins over the copy this time if the judges find it fits the theme.
