@Shawhelp why do you send rude technicians who don't know what they're doing? At least get 1/2 the equation right.

  • nivende2 David Niven (@nivende2) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @Shaybeerta @ShawInfo If you are close to the router you want to use the 5 ghz wifi band. Further away, the 2.4 ghz band. Android phones have an app to test signal strength around your house.

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 4/ The list displayed in Netspot, under the ssid heading, is a good indication if dominant neighborhood provider is shaw, telus, or another vendor. Another way to confirm if the signal coming into your home is poor is to connect to the ISP device with an ethernet cable.

@Shawhelp Hi. We're in NE Calgary (Whitehorn) and have lost our internet connection. Our router is flashing green & says upstream registration. Is there a neighborhood service disruption?

  • MemdialPC Adam P Holmes (@MemdialPC) reported

@Shawhelp been having some internet problems for the past hour and a half or so. It keeps dropping out and comes back. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 5/ Run trial web casting sessions. If the signal is still poor. Switching ISPs might be an option. Pls keep in mind that the trial sessions need to closely resemble the traffic generated during the event. So you need a trial session w/ the same # of expected guests or greater.
