@Shawhelp That sounded a bit snarky. I don't expect Shaw to connect every house for free. I'd assume outlet activation cost would be covered during initial service purchase/setup. Nobody ever told us we'd be charged $50/coax outlet if we wanted to move our devices around in our own home.

@Shawhelp the internet is down in our building. Several neighbours have tried restarting their modems but no signal. We are in #yyc #vicpark

My issue with @ShawInfo got resolved after 1 good conversation with a tech that would listen to me and a customer service representative that knew what was up

@Shawhelp Shouldn't all the outlets be activated when the service is first started? It's completely blowing my mind that Shaw wants to charge customers $50/room to move their PC's/TV's around in their own home if the room has existing coax outlets already. 😱

@Shawhelp Yes. Tried it this afternoon. Moved a Gateway Portal to a room that has never had a TV in it before. Box wouldn't work - support said there was $50/per each room/coax cable not activated. Mind blowing. Does the room need to have equip in it to have techs activate the outlet?

@Shawhelp - Can you confirm if it's true that you charge $50 PER coax cable activation if we, as existing customers, want to move our Modem/Gateway Portals into rooms with EXISTING lines that have never had equipment in them before? Do you not activate all lines on service start?
