Shaw Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ifeelgoofy Ifeelgoofy (@ifeelgoofy) reported

@Shawhelp Kelowna, Ellison area by Airport. For the last few days, CNN on Bluecurve TV (254) has been all garbled. All other channels are fine. Just me, or anyone else having problems?

  • Bryan_Leitch Bryan Leitch (@Bryan_Leitch) reported

@chx @nick_thompson @Shawhelp When I verbally agreed to a 2 year contract this month, the sales guy checked my modem and said I’d be good for 750/100. After agreeing to the deal, I only got 750/25. Called him back, he said “oops, looks like there’s an issue in your area and gave a $25 credit. It’s a joke.

  • KosleyKamloops Tam K 🇨🇦 (@KosleyKamloops) reported

@Shawhelp Very serendipitous tweet Shaw Help, as I do have equipment to return. The link said if your equipment isn’t in the list below, recycle it. But there was no list.

  • jazznbluesjrney stephen oliver (@jazznbluesjrney) reported

@Shawhelp Internet and TV outage in Redcliff Alberta for the third time in two days

  • JeffInVanBC Jeff Vickers (@JeffInVanBC) reported

@Shawhelp Here's a suggestion, eliminate the online live chat. Communication is much simpler and more effective via voice. Also, train your people to resolve problems, not just book service appointments.

  • SighmanCanada Simon (@SighmanCanada) reported

@Shawhelp Tried watching 'Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman' on demand last night, what is with the forced advert for the same 2 nat geo shows, like 15 times during it, one being the show I'm watching?!? The other a show about Tuna I would never now watch as the ads annoyed me so much...

  • JeffInVanBC Jeff Vickers (@JeffInVanBC) reported

@Shawhelp More accurately, you train your online representatives to follow a script and logic pattern. They are far to zealous for booking an appointment with a trained technician as they have no knowledge of fixing problems themselves.

  • JeffInVanBC Jeff Vickers (@JeffInVanBC) reported

New Rule: Internet providers must actually hire technical support specialists who actually know how to troubleshoot your internet, not people who steamroll you into booking a service appointment, potentially leaving you a week without internet. CC: @Shawhelp

  • MapleSoupNL Matt (@MapleSoupNL) reported

@M_Sallis @ShawInfo Have you considered maybe #starlink as your service provider?

  • thewayashviews Acheli (@thewayashviews) reported

Why is @ShawInfo always down. It’s not like I work from home, and need the internet.
