Shaw Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • turbulentio Digi (@turbulentio) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 4/ The list displayed in Netspot, under the ssid heading, is a good indication if dominant neighborhood provider is shaw, telus, or another vendor. Another way to confirm if the signal coming into your home is poor is to connect to the ISP device with an ethernet cable.

  • Boyd0H Boyd0H (@Boyd0H) reported

@Shawhelp Hello, wondering if there is an internet outage in my area

  • nivende2 David Niven (@nivende2) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @Shaybeerta @ShawInfo If you are close to the router you want to use the 5 ghz wifi band. Further away, the 2.4 ghz band. Android phones have an app to test signal strength around your house.

  • Bradley_Reschny Bradley Reschny (@Bradley_Reschny) reported

@ShawInfo ok what ******** my wifi has been absolutely terrible recently in Dawson creek pouce coupe area it's making me consider switching internet providers

  • QuinnBoser Quinn (@QuinnBoser) reported

@Shaybeerta @JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo Came here to say exactly this! Best way to get good speed is just run a long Cat6 cable directly from your modem. Wi-Fi will never be as good, even with a booster.

  • Bradley_Reschny Bradley Reschny (@Bradley_Reschny) reported

@ShawInfo it happens every ******* 5 minutes fix this s***

  • Zach_Fleisher Zach Fleisher (@Zach_Fleisher) reported

@Shawhelp Still having issues with billing, and technical issues. Your support person sent an email that doesn't accept replies; makes me think maybe you didn't want to resolve the issue? 🙃

  • nivende2 David Niven (@nivende2) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @Shaybeerta @ShawInfo Because you are on Shaw you don’t want to share bandwith with others in the same building. It would help if you are the only one on line when you Zoom. Your router has two bands. ....

  • commpro123 Jim misses Hawaii 🏝️ (@commpro123) reported

@Shawhelp hi there. Are you having issues in Sherwood Park Alberta? I have no cable or internet. I've rebooted my Bluecurve modem but all I get it a yellow/orange flashing light.

  • ChadOhman Not-in-Hawaii Chad 🌸 (@ChadOhman) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo Get yourself a 50ft ethernet cable. Plug directly into Shaw's router. If it's not any better it's Shaw's problem. Next step? Ditch Shaw.
