@Shawhelp what's going on with the outage in Downtown/Exchange Winnipeg? We've been told "problems with a node" no ETA to fix. I have to log into work tomorrow. You must have some idea of when this will be resolved?

@ShawInfo Then why has my 79 yr old mother been left with no service, including her internet and phone, in a pandemic and the worst cold snap of the year, with no explanation?!? Four days and counting...🤯

Hour and a half to get the Internet going. @shawhelp is actually worse than Teksavvy and Primus combined. They simply refuse to provide a service that doesn't drop 20 -30 times a day. Seriously @Shawhelp How much money do you require to provide me a good connection?

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 4/ The list displayed in Netspot, under the ssid heading, is a good indication if dominant neighborhood provider is shaw, telus, or another vendor. Another way to confirm if the signal coming into your home is poor is to connect to the ISP device with an ethernet cable.

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 2/ If too many subscribers are being fed from1 neighborhood connection point. Service will be poor. On your computer, if you go to the wifi connection option & scan for connection points it should give you an idea of the service provider subscription rate in your area.

@TELUSsupport We recently switched from @ShawInfo to Telus and we are having nothing but problems with our PVR. We've had to reboot the machine 8-10 times so far just to watch our shows. The last tech support agent that I spoke with treated me like a child. Can I get some support

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 5/ Run trial web casting sessions. If the signal is still poor. Switching ISPs might be an option. Pls keep in mind that the trial sessions need to closely resemble the traffic generated during the event. So you need a trial session w/ the same # of expected guests or greater.

@ShawInfo Seriously sick of paying $140/month for my cable to never work! “Outages” weekly. @TELUS got any good deals?
