@ShawInfo @bobmackin lol, no worries, I dissed you folks and all cable a decade or more ago for this very reason - blatant corrupt censorship. Even dissed yr phone service, everything. No fascist Corps, thanks.

@PowerAndSystems @ShawInfo @nenshi Ah, now that's a difference I can get behind. I may not be very strongly anti-government, but I _AM_ very strongly anti-transnational. Furthermore, I think for-profit media in general is a bad idea - it creates a perverse incentive to sensationalise stories for profit.

@PowerAndSystems @ShawInfo @nenshi If a law were passed requiring all media organizations to be both nonprofit and independent - as well as banning foreign state media - I could 100% get behind that. We don't need sensationalisation in our media ecosystem. It's really bad for society.

@incognito_nunya @choose_fabulous @ShawInfo You could write a thesis to answer that very good question. CBC, CNN, and others equally support or give voice to extreme left-wing ideas and events, often by cherry picking facts, data, and language. Should they be banned? No. We should demand better journalism.

When I moved I switched from @ShawInfo to telus because I was under the impression that they had a good product and exceptional customer service. I am really beginning to regret the change. When I had internet down with shaw they were almost over reaching with how much

@as_per_danielle @Pjhvan @ShawInfo Well... little secret here :P I neither have nor watch TV! But I've met a lot of people who have been sucked in by the Fox/RT echo chamber and I _know_ it's bad. As time goes on they get more and more detached from reality and I think it's long past time we stop that happening.
