@Butlrr @SeanyeWest234 @Shawhelp id definitely rather buy one of those too instead of giving shaw another dime... having said that, if they say the modem covers up to 3K sqft, and it doesn't, I'm not willing to pay out of my pocket to fix that

  • JustCallmeLogbi Ms.Jagger7 (@JustCallmeLogbi) reported

@ShawInfo whatever expansion you are into your business, customers don’t deserve to have NO working wifi and suffer. All our school are relying heavily on your service. How could you???????

  • ArtUnwound Art Unwound (@ArtUnwound) reported

@malcolmert @Shawhelp It was a tp-link I picked up on Amazon. Nothing fancy. It's hardwired to the Shaw modem and has its own network name.

  • SeanyeWest234 Sean Warren (@SeanyeWest234) reported

@malcolmert @Shawhelp Its true. I have shaw as well and same thing. I went and bought the Google wifi boosters and it solved the problem. That said, shouldn't cost $300 in equipment to make your wifi serviceable.

  • skates2010 Kevin Schellenberg (@skates2010) reported from Squamish, British Columbia

@malcolmert @Shawhelp “Oh sorry, you never mentioned that you have walls in your house” 🙄

  • jobetstein j perdoo (@jobetstein) reported

@nenshi with Covid causing everyone to work from home , how can we tolerate @Shawhelp taking 2 days to a week in order to restore an essential service !?

  • Butlrr Sean Butler (@Butlrr) reported

@SeanyeWest234 @malcolmert @Shawhelp Not with Shaw, but I just bought a mesh router to solve this problem, which is funny considering the range Customer Service: are your devices within 3000 feet of your router? Me: I live in Vancouver, so you know let me put the phone down and check... [semi-audible laugh-crying]

  • Butlrr Sean Butler (@Butlrr) reported

@malcolmert @SeanyeWest234 @Shawhelp Customer Service: We at Shaw appreciate your conviction. We have another option. Have you tried visiting all your neighbours and saying “Internet, don’t”?

  • bialia . (@bialia) reported

Hey @shawhelp your tech support just told me having to restart my router 7 times in less than a month is normal
