@Shawhelp hi my internet seems to be down and I will need it for work Monday. Are there any known outages in Calgary?

  • Yarbo Max Morin (@Yarbo) reported

@Shawhelp Forcing me to have to contact support each month to add the visual voicemail addon for my shaw mobile plan is the stupidest thing I've ever been told by any company ever. LOL. I should just be able to ask for it, and it stays on my account until I ask to turn it off.

@mobutils @CRTCeng @ShawInfo Also, HSA in Bell terminology refers to ethernet connectivity (PVC) without PPPoE. This was more common originally but pricing made the service moot. In Telus territory, both PPPoE and “HSA” are available on more equitable terms but ISPs tend to choose PPPoE as easier 2 integrate

@Shawhelp hello, are there any current outages in Campbell River? The internet has not worked all day, wondering if there is an issue with Shaw or if it’s something at the house.

  • Strykology TEAM4NOT (@Strykology) reported

@Shawhelp Wondering why Shaw mobile doesn't have the ability to change my sim card for me. i got a new card and no one at customer support has the "ability" to change my card. what the @$#% is going on over there

  • mobutils James Pike 🇨🇦 (@mobutils) reported

@jfmezei @CRTCeng After rereading the thread… I don’t think it needs modification given that I did present this was in the context of @shawInfo, my last my provider. However, It may have been more correct to say I have been following the WHSA rates issue, in the first post.

  • OnHels HelsOnWheels (@OnHels) reported

@Shawhelp @dakotaboybrian @staceykate1973 I dumped you cause my contract was finishing n you told me 2week later what I had after the contract was going up 80$ 2 weeks lately you brought it down 15$, the last week of my contract same price but 2days before the end of contract WE WILL LEAVE IT TO WHAT YOURE PAYING NOW! 🖕

@a_h_reaume @ShawInfo Yeah could be. I also suspect my landlady is choosing like the cheapest plan or something because my internet has been quite unstable and slow for a while. (Add that to the long list of problems lol)

  • jfmezei Jean-François Mezei (@jfmezei) reported

@mobutils @CRTCeng @ShawInfo The DHCP part is important because the ISP has to give the cableco large chunks of IPs that are managed by the cableco, split into blocks for each CMTS with routing tables, and DHCP programmed to give an ISP customer an IP that belongs to ISP *and* routed to that CMTS.

@Shawhelp Is there maintenance or a widespread issue going on with the internet in the Hamptons neighbourhood of Edmonton?
