@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo Sorry I realized my response was getting too long-winded so I will say: look into the placement of your modem - we've been having issues with our internet and turns out our modem was in a suboptimal location! And/or try direct connections if possible!

@ShawInfo your radio people are sounding stupid you cannot talk about things you do not have and tin can and string tech. a joke! pull up your socks!

  • nivende2 David Niven (@nivende2) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @Shaybeerta @ShawInfo I have had problems when a neighbour is on the same Shaw or Telus channel as my router. Shaw would know how to fix that remotely by accessing your router .

  • ziegler__c Courtney (@ziegler__c) reported

@Shawhelp MIL has a lifeline and her internet is down. Tech said they can’t get to her until the 23rd, then they said they’ll book her in the next day as an emergency (she’s blind, lives alone). They never showed up and said they never booked her in and she will have to wait, zero sympathy..

@Shawhelp hi there. Are you having issues in Sherwood Park Alberta? I have no cable or internet. I've rebooted my Bluecurve modem but all I get it a yellow/orange flashing light.

  • nivende2 David Niven (@nivende2) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @Shaybeerta @ShawInfo Because you are on Shaw you don’t want to share bandwith with others in the same building. It would help if you are the only one on line when you Zoom. Your router has two bands. ....

  • joefroh Joe F (@joefroh) reported

@Zach_Fleisher @Shawhelp What's going on? I'm not a shaw person but I do know more than the average bear about networks. Maybe there is an obvious issue that is something you can fix without them...

  • nivende2 David Niven (@nivende2) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @Shaybeerta @ShawInfo If you are close to the router you want to use the 5 ghz wifi band. Further away, the 2.4 ghz band. Android phones have an app to test signal strength around your house.

  • ChadOhman Not-in-Hawaii Chad 🌸 (@ChadOhman) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo Get yourself a 50ft ethernet cable. Plug directly into Shaw's router. If it's not any better it's Shaw's problem. Next step? Ditch Shaw.

  • turbulentio Digi (@turbulentio) reported

@JulieRohrYEG @ShawInfo 2/ If too many subscribers are being fed from1 neighborhood connection point. Service will be poor. On your computer, if you go to the wifi connection option & scan for connection points it should give you an idea of the service provider subscription rate in your area.
