If @GetSpectrum doesn't fix my constant "outage problems" I'm going to switch to #Starlink . I'm so excited, because I'm certain they'll never fix it.

  • codegreenie Amzat Turawa (@codegreenie) reported

@technextdotng @SpaceX @NgComCommission Starlink comes at about $600 plus $99 monthly plan. Is this affordable for all Nigerians or they'd cut down on quality as usual. Many companies sacrifice quality for price when they come to Africa. Starlink has an upload speed of about 30mb/s & download speed of 100mb/s

  • lrb2024 LRB 🚀🌘 & 🚀🔴 (@lrb2024) reported

@Nick_Stevens_Gr Starlink will bring down cost of access to space, through Starship funding ... and make more telescopes, where they are meant to be. In the pristine empty space, or on solar system bodies with no atmosphere. Starling will inspire the youngs support area with natural catastrophe

  • lrb2024 LRB 🚀🌘 & 🚀🔴 (@lrb2024) reported

@Nick_Stevens_Gr Starlink is not at all threat to professional Astronomy. No problem 99.99% science investigations. Amateur pictures by unskilled photographs, might. More serious threats are the moon, bad weather& humidity 4 astronomy & science. Starlink will bring internet where most needed

  • nome_noone noone (@nome_noone) reported

@Aceinmysleeve1 @ChrysophylaxD @bopinion Plus he has several other amazing companies, neuralink, starlink etc...here in Germany internet quality outside of cities is unbelievably bad and where I am unworkable for business. So I suggested to our house group to consider a starlink option. Neuralink might help people walk.

  • MidoriSchaaf Midori Schaaf (@MidoriSchaaf) reported

@elonmusk This is stupid. Is this the first satellite in the Dogenet moon constellation branch of starlink? Can you even get satellites to orbit the moon? Is the moon small enough to use towers?

  • Astro_Kuba Kuba (@Astro_Kuba) reported

@ddofinternet @elonmusk Operating properly. They have small Ion thrusters that slowing bring up their orbit higher to around 550km which is where they become invisible. Elon has also mentioned that to solve the problem they are putting black covers on the shiny bits of Starlink to help them shine less

  • greatbignow Aaron Harford (@greatbignow) reported

@martinrev21 @LiveSim47170396 Slow down? There are 7.8 billion people on this planet, and 3.5 billion don’t have internet. The pandemic has accelerated our technological evolution, and when 5G and Starlink come online in force, imagine the growth of economy simply from a doubling of population taking part.

  • atomiron aTomiRon (@atomiron) reported

@OvigweEguegu It is interesting. However, don't forget to build ground network. Because when you get used to the convenience Starlink brings, you're controlled by it at the same time. US can cut the service anytime if they want to.

  • antonnewcombe anton newcombe (@antonnewcombe) reported

@AngryTheInch @ProfBrianCox too bad @elonmusk screwed it all with starlink...

  • ABDULL07_ ABDALLAH (@ABDULL07_) reported

@AkinMubarak Starlink is supreme internet service at a premium price.

  • jkimopollock Kimo ******* (@jkimopollock) reported

@JoshuaZed1 @DJSnM You're right, Amazon, but you still get the point I think. Bezos will never be able to even come close to competing with Starlink using the Atlas V.

  • SamanthaQ96 SamanthaQ98 (@SamanthaQ96) reported

@Littleb29872980 NJ friend was up at 2am last night (5/9) and said iphone had no service. Tv said had no internet. Back to normal sun am. Starlink Test????

  • DilfInternet Internet Dilf (@DilfInternet) reported

@benpanak @KEMBE_X Elon is not one of the worse people in the planet just because he has money. he's on of the good ones. he actually seems to care about the planet and real scientific advancements that benefit everyone. have you heard of starlink? LEGENDARY **** right there.

  • CryptoGayGuy 🏴‍☠️ (@CryptoGayGuy) reported

@ShitcoinSherpa i would absolutely not develop it in that way. it would be as off grid as possible. we will not be able to hide anywhere from the microwaves beamed down at us by starlink satellites, to add more layers of frequencies would be foolish if the intention is to stay healthy.

  • ShitcoinSherpa Sherpa (@ShitcoinSherpa) reported

@CryptoGayGuy ****. Dude, there are going to be *so* many opportunities, because people don't understand how feasible a lot of this **** becomes as we get solar & Starlink, basically making modular startup 'grids' WAY easier than developing infrastructure used to be.

  • Martian49501341 Martian (@Martian49501341) reported

@nycsouthpaw @npage1028 Biden will give Elon's starlink billions of dollars in feds contracts to provide cheap internet to the poor rural and hard to reach area. The big losers are establisment/oligopoly internet providers.

  • BUUKOLA Emerald 💐🌼 (@BUUKOLA) reported

Dear @NgComCommission please do not sabotage @SpaceX starlink entry into Nigeria. Make good policies that will help the young brains in our land grow. Enough subscriber slavery. Naija youths are ready for the moon. Stop inhibiting with bad policies. O to ge! Ok bye.

  • nickdh007 deathawaitsall (@nickdh007) reported

@ddofinternet @elonmusk They are working on improving the amount of light Starlink gives off hopefully they can find a solution

  • RachelC60172666 Rachel Curtis (@RachelC60172666) reported

@elonmusk Please get Starlink internet to Western Kentucky. Horrible internet service makes remote learning/working impossible

  • D_PaulAngel D Paul Angel (@D_PaulAngel) reported

@BWJones As I understand Starlink claimed their satellites would be specially coated so as to be as non-reflective as possible, which totally hasn't worked. They've promised to work with NASA to fix it, but nothing has been done that I've heard of.

  • Author_JPDumont J. P. Dumont (@Author_JPDumont) reported

Why do things have to be so doggone complicated? Tried to buy bitcoin - instructions might as well be in a language I don't speak; tried to find orbit for starlink - can't figure out how to find my "PlusCode" . . . WTF! My hairband must be on too tight!

  • bobmarconi CMOTLEY (@bobmarconi) reported

@elonmusk please save us from @HughesNet ! 25 miles from Nashville, working from home, with only Hughes Net and it sucks. Can’t stream anything.#Starlink

  • MehrdadKianian Mehrdad Kianian (@MehrdadKianian) reported

@elonmusk @Erdayastronaut @thesheetztweetz Iran’s supreme leader is going to set up a so-called national internet, which unfortunately isolated Iranians from the rest of the world. Can Starlink help Iranians to be in contact with the rest of the world?

  • tillerlindemann CooterMcGavin (@tillerlindemann) reported from Lemay, Missouri

Got all these crypto frat boys talking down to people for enjoying/believing in Astrology while the starlink satellite on top their sell out houses moves WITH THE STARS. Add Nausea

  • DonaldFR Donald F. Robertson (@DonaldFR) reported

@GuiStroz @SciGuySpace I've already put down $ to reserve a place on @Starlink's waiting list. My animosity toward Amazon aside, it would have to be a pretty compelling offer to get me to write off that commitment and consider someone else, especially someone that is, at best, years behind.

  • dreleski eanair (@dreleski) reported

@wrathofgnon 4) the money Starlink will bring in will enable astronomers to build telescopes they never could have dreamed of, and for fractions of the cost 5) the satellites are invisible to the naked eye once they arrive in their operational orbit

  • Tianmaiquan leave me alone (@Tianmaiquan) reported

@kav_1123 @flyfishingcan @US_SpaceCom Starlink satellites keep UNcontrolled reentry all the time, do your own homework. for your pre80s launch it's More like hey we are the only one plus USSR can do this so **** it let's launch first.
