@zei_squirrel Even Starlink, which was supposed to be a domestic competitor against service providers like AT&T is now being deployed in Ukraine as a communications tool with financial backing from the Pentagon (even though it was supposed to be an independent for profit business.)

@Cyb3rB0r6 hughes net too. outreach..hunter..they are more expensive than starlink and its p2p microwave. they decommissioned the phone lines to everyone's houses here so no DSL. there is even miles of fiber buried that no one is using. im in the process of trying to fix that problem here.

@thespybrief #2. There could be a lot of parts...An App Store (Elon's recently pointed out Apple's sky high/30%cut from developers). A Payment System (like Pay Pal), Music Subscription (Tesla has one), Satellite Service (Starlink). I'd like a news service so I wasn't stymied by paywalls.

@jeffgiesea Regarding SpaceX. He's correct. The Falcon 9 engineering is rock solid with near perfect mission success. On Starlink: Maybe I should buy a terminal and sub lease Internet service to my neighbors for $10.00 a month? Paying Spectrum $79 monthly is ridiculous.

@Mullin_95 Should be 0 issues. When Starlink originally came out my house wasn’t eligible. But it was 75 km south of me. So I entered that and worked fine for over a year

@WR4NYGov They aren’t publicly traded and the brand isn’t relevant to the average consumer. If Starlink were a bigger player and we really had choice in high speed Internet it might be a bigger issue for Starlink.

@NotSure10423 @veve_official Idk, it shouldn't be the government or country, because all crypto markets, nft platforms that were working - are working. Most of the countries, project's, people - are trying to help. Just a sample - we didn't have access to starlink, before war.

Can't even get to work from home.... Seems @SpaceX Starlink should be the solution. In 2022, internet is no longer just a "nice to have" service it is a utility! @FLOWJamaica please fix your customer service and your "utility." It is ludicrous to be paying for a service that is..

@GamerMom_ I’m sure they did think in a long term solution for satellites that will malfunction/die. Smaller ones are absolutely not a problem because they slow em down so they fall from orbit and burn, bigger ones will stay in orbit forever basically, starlink satellites are tiny

@HighleyGinger There were rumors he'd make a phone before & regardless of Apple/Twitter. - Interface using Neuralink impants - Service coverage worldwide (Starlink) [Sim cards = extinct] - Battery life (obviously) IMO, all these are great incentives for him to disrupt the comms industry.

@peyos9 @Iraqveteran8888 If you're in the woods, mounting higher can be used to mitigate absorption by foliage. I don't know if Starlink's receiver shows the user SN (signal-to-noise) ratios or just signal strength.
