@DutchAldy I thought Starlink are one of the “foreign investors” that HH said they met in the US last year in September (following UN GC) and that they were coming to Zambia. Set up office and service.

@ericgarland I canceled Starlink the day it was to ship. Broke my heart. I've bent over to @CenturyLink for 18 yrs, paying $50/mo for 3.5Mbps down/384k up but $600 +$110/mo is too much when an unhinged narcissist is leading the pack.

@ukraine_map Annoyingly considering its more recent history, but Starlink providing a vital communications backbone. Yes, it was initially funded by the US and yes Musk's antics are becoming problematic now, but if the technology hadn't been there, there would've been a huge problem early on

@uMehliseli_ I hate space Karen but I love the idea of Starlink. The GOZ and Zim corporations will never allow something they can't control. Ultimately, resistance will be futile in this case. Once Starlink reaches Zambia and South Africa, we will likely be able to access it.

@Jeanne_Mann Can you debunk claims that Starlink was used to fly drones w/chemical weapons? I’m assuming he knows better how his network is being used than you do. Why don’t you get your friends together & fly some drones that provide internet over Ukraine. He’s providing to the whole world.

@SPeitsch @SpaceX Starlink can be used in Ukraine for just regular communications, just not for drone or military strikes. Them delivering many hundreds of Starlink dishes and providing internet to Ukraine for free was done out of kindness to support people effected by the war, not to kill people

@worldcrunch We have yet to hear the US response to Muskows rantings.Its nothing short of sabotage if carried through. One competitor to Starlink is Kymeta, a Bill Gates-funded company that has donated and sold its technology to Ukraine.A possible solution??

@Megaconstellati Licensing is always hard because radio spectrum is invisible money. I don't recall Iridium's country by county licensing early years as being easy. Broadband satellite service is also a niche. It is limited in capacity. SpaceX estimated it can serve 30 million with Starlink.
