@smc429 And, shutting down starlink

@DonLew87 As an amateur astronomer, I think that Starlink is a solution looking for a problem. Coverage can be installed without setting back our knowledge of the universe.

Nick Chen (@atacms2040) reported
@jordanschnyc Will they enforce this so Tesla doesn't try to sneak around these sanctions and still try to work with China? Look at SpaceX and Starlink issues recently in Ukraine. China asked Elon to not provide service to Ukraine.

Upstateguy (@Upstateguy404) reported
@neontaster @Boomieleaks Why not Defense Production Act the Starlink network?
-
Kate Wormington (@kate_wormington) reported
@AVindman @elonmusk I get your stance and the timing is bad, but @Elonmusk has already donated far more than Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, or Northrup Grumann. Why should the traditional military companies get paid and NOT Elon (Starlink is private) when the bill is so small?
-
X (@ShareTheCare247) reported
@FedorovMykhailo @elonmusk That’s good.. but Mr. Fancy pants who can continue to support starlink is now being a ***** because he’s butt hurt over being called out over his Putin exchange .. it’s just unbelievable and unforgivable! You give because you care not because you expect something in return, no?
-
Ramayan Original-'Ya Tut' to fight the info war (@OriginalRamayan) reported
@Podolyak_M @elonmusk Starlink will keep running because of the help (funding) of others then Elon. That said - yes it was a good business strategy & marketing ploy. It’s wrong though to credit him for ‘Good Samaritan’ work.
-
Swissiws (@Swissiws1) reported
@dim0kq @elonmusk @SpaceX I read a lot of stupid comments by people that know nothing about Elon Musk and mistake him for Bezos or Gates. I hope Elon answers you directly to explain how things are going from Starlink perspective

Martin Plodek (@MartinPlodek) reported
@Mario2022xp @apmassaro3 Ukraine soldiers are paying standard EU price for starlink. How exactly it costs SpaceX more money then normal service in EU?
-
Mitch ... 🇾🇪 (@MitchTypoCr) reported
@apmassaro3 Starlink gave Ukrain a bunch of free stuff, covered expenses for an ext. period of time & put themselves at great risk of cyber attack. But because a bunch of folks decide to take it upon themselves to buy more stuff, the guy that donated a load to begin with is the bad guy? 1/2

Holzmueller (@holzmueller2) reported
@elonmusk @officejjsmart @MelnykAndrij Your anti-Ukrainian polls and tweets will damage your business more than Starlink for Ukraine costs. Obviously not only Ukrainians will avoid buying your cars. The majority of your shareholders disapprove of your behavior and your childish reactions to critics from Ukraine.

jb (@jbmylr) reported
@jsrailton “But Musk starts to display a very uncertain backbone.” John, respectfully, why do you think so? All is certain, Elon and the team has done an amazing work to make Starlink reliable. They didn’t stop supporting Ukraine and keep doing it. I see the problem is the govt., they..

@JohnnaCrider1 "Hey guys, look at me! I'm so charitable and heroic for giving Starlink to Ukraine while charging them the usual service subscription and getting largely subsidized by govts. But im mad about Twitter. So I won't spend 0.2% of my money to help defend democracy and human life" 🤡🤡

Keith (@superdad_66) reported
@apmassaro3 Agreed. He should turn that starlink off, send in some mercs for equipment retrieval, and let them figure their own **** out. Fck em, ingrates.
-
Art Gallegos (@ArtGallegos5) reported
@Lukewearechange **** yea I'm glad elon stopped starlink. I feel bad for the people of Ukraine but I feel more for the Americans suffering. Hopefully they capture Ukraine head and end the war. US needs to mind their business and take care of their own issues. Ukraine IS NOT OUR PROBLEM.

Rahul Sridhar 🍦 (@fortenforge) reported
@MarcBodnick @joshtpm Sounds like a good way to ensure that the next Starlink never gets built in the first place
-
Noname117Spore (@Noname117S) reported
@radleftie @Stonekettle And also the big constraint for Starlink profitability right now is customer count, and although marketing is good for that currently the bottleneck is dish production.
-

@apmassaro3 He can also cancel starlink for you so why u cry
-

@spectatorindex Fun fact another article I read said he wants the pentagon to pay for the starlink service in Ukraine.
-
Tony S (@H2opolodoc) reported
@SethAbramson The guy talk to Putin, next day problems with starlink in Ukraine , then 2 days later asking the pentagon to foot the bill . Neferious intent why our security is in the hands of private companies
-
🇪🇺 Beachbumfella💛 💙 (@Pufferfish420) reported
@AaronParnas @madeskv Allegedly US paid for 13XX pieces of Stralink #modem sth like $1,5k. That would be 450$ for modem and rest for monthly service fee/contract for 12 months. Elon tripled that number on his own. Additionally private people buy Starlink modems and pay service fees out of own Pocket.
-
Paul Paladino (@Paul_Paladino) reported
@prchovanec Ukraine needs @elonmusk more than Elon needs them. So they shot their mouth off and told him to "**** off". So he did and took his property (starlink) with him. Whats really unbelievable is that Ukraine still expects him to provide internet service after flipping him off.
-
GK (@gvkrsz) reported
@elonmusk As long as you (or a single man) controls this service, it will fail. Why? Because if you censor usage, it's no longer reliable. Starlink will go bankrupt and another better service shall replace it.
-
thomascoyle (@thomaskcoyle) reported
@Angry_Staffer In his own dumbass way what Musk is admitting, that in the long run, Starlink can’t be a profit maker. In Ukraine he is over charging for the use of the service and Starlink is still losing money on the deal.
-
martianredplanet (@martianredplan1) reported
@peternoongmxus1 @Scanners11 Starlink is under fed govt contract to provide service in Ukr. Pentagon will have a field day with him if he cuts the service.
-
🌻 Nukes_EnrichCom 🌻 (@varbmosz) reported
@xenasolo @iLoveNafo How did he market Starlink? UKRAINE asked him to help. Are you saying he's should have ignored the request? This is ******* disgusting. You give someone a helping hand, and they slap you in the face and tell you you were just doing it for [insert some reason].
-
AB (@andzejsw) reported
@FedorovMykhailo @elonmusk "The terminals themselves cost $1500 and $2500 for the two models sent to Ukraine, the documents say, while consumer models on Starlink’s website are far cheaper and service in Ukraine is just $60 per month." Elon looks even more pathetic...
-
Adam Kommers (@adamkommers) reported
@MelnykAndrij You are an idiot telling Musk to F off. Have you any idea what Starlink has done for you? Reckless and shameful. Apologize, then step down.
-
Hopeful Dolphins fan #FinsUp 🐬 (@saucy1358) reported
So if that ******* musk shuts off star link in Ukraine, what’s the back comms for their offensive? It’s been made to look like starlink was a catalyst in their success.
-
Allan B🇺🇦🇺🇲 (@BATTERY17514622) reported
@elonmusk Is bailing on Ukraine. Shutting starlink down. But, he's dependable.
