Starlink is a ripoff! They send me an email stating I could order my equipment now and pay the $400. I did and received my equipment last week. This week I got an invoice for my monthly subscription. However we have no service in our area and we are on the “wait list”. Seriously?

@PharmD_KS Yeah, we may never get paid directly for Ukraine work. I guess you could think of it as effective but expensive advertising. It's a shame it buys us no goodwill from the left either, but look at Starlink. No good deed goes unpunished.

@Life99Wonderful Starlink's official website shows that the network has been successfully deployed in China, and the surrounding Japan has been connected to the Internet. South Korea\Philippines\Laos\Bhutan\Nepal\Kyrgyzstan\Kazakhstan will start services in 2023, encircling China.

@Visabe1 @ansonmount Zip2 which became PayPal. Tesla motors, which when introduced revolutionized electric cars. There were electric cars before but not fast ones. The battery tech too. Spacex and the concept of reusable boosters, Starlink. If we get down into the technology there are dozens more.

Hey @SpaceX I'm getting constant micro-second drop-outs from Starlink in the UK that aren't reported in the app. Happening for a couple of weeks. Really badly affects any activity that needs a stable connection. Help!

@Blondiee79 @RadioMoser Starlink is a great investment for internet. They are only 110 a month and the one time fee. It will save you a ton of money and you don’t have to rely on Comcast’s. Plus let’s be honest starlink is elons baby and there’s no way they’ll never be high speed look into it

@bretthjones @That_Anka @nexta_tv I have no sympathy for ungrateful people. I wish SpaceX would pull the plug on the terminals they’ve provided for free, which are the majority. FAFO. Maybe then they’ll understand. They should be grateful that Starlink even exists. I’d only feel bad for those who are grateful.

@Keubiko Not sure it has much military use except as an emergency backup. No military-level encryption/security on Starlink as far as I know. $VSAT still lurks with Viasat-3 satellites and GEOs aren't dead. But mostly, yeah, limited rural market and maybe some cruise ships. 1/
