Starlink Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • raudssus Torsten 'Spooky Scary Skeletons' Raudßus (@raudssus) reported

@dvdschungel @JohnCleese SpaceX is not producing money, Starlink was from start on a business that never could have been sustainable. No one is at fault here beside Musk for making a business plan that only works as long government puts money into it. Musk fanboys are really so far off, it is pathetic.

  • Releo25 Leon (@Releo25) reported

@cancelmyfunera1 @JordanUhl and that isn't even to mention that the cost of traffic is already included in the price you pay for the service - if you could make Starlink lose money by just using their connection, their business model is garbage.

  • tjg2991 Tomek (@tjg2991) reported

@elonmusk @officejjsmart @MelnykAndrij It was regarding your inappropriate surveys and propositions. Don't **** off with Starlink, they need it.

  • wong_jim putin is khuylo (@wong_jim) reported

Elon Musk is a warmonger. Starlink to Ukraine has never been free, and he has the gall to advocate “peace plans” and now tacitly threatening to turn off Starlink. WTF is wrong with this man?

  • Releo25 Leon (@Releo25) reported

@cancelmyfunera1 @JordanUhl That graph is march through may, aka the period where Starlink was deployed in Ukraine - no **** total data usage grew. This doesn't show that data usage per unit, which would be an actual cost driver, increased.

  • springyard99 Springyard™🌐 (@springyard99) reported

@zerohedge Tit for tat, after Ukraine falsely complained about Starlink outages during battles as a tit for tat against Elon suggesting a Ukraine conflict resolution plan.

  • MaG14581462 Ma G🇵🇱 (@MaG14581462) reported

@apmassaro3 Definitely. Is it a coicidense that on liberated territories were problems with Starlink before Musk has offended. I think it was on purpose: Musk intentionally provoked the Ukrainian side by his tweets few days ago. He wanted to get out of this situation innocent.

  • silverpoison01 _silver.poison_ (@silverpoison01) reported

I don't understand why is there such a huge backlash for @elonmusk for ending Starlink service for Ukraine. We should appreciate the fact that he did provide the service for that long. Do you expect him to carry out the charity forever? Even at a loss of $100M per month?

  • andzejsw AB (@andzejsw) reported

@apmassaro3 "The terminals themselves cost $1500 and $2500 for the two models sent to Ukraine, the documents say, while consumer models on Starlink’s website are far cheaper and service in Ukraine is just $60 per month." Elon looks even more pathetic...

  • LebronGainz56 David A (@LebronGainz56) reported

@officejjsmart @MelnykAndrij Sucks to suck, @MelnykAndrij should go create his own starlink to help Ukrane. I know how to spell just don’t gaf about that country

  • TTMalle Toni (@TTMalle) reported

@dim0kq @elonmusk @SpaceX There are over 14,000 Starlink dishes in Ukraine and you personally know that every single one of them is paying for their Starlink service?

  • sr71a3 sr71a (@sr71a3) reported

@grass_bass @kinwhakkl @dim0kq However you slice it, all satellite service companies have gone bankrupt. Those that survive provide service nowhere near what Starlink does (I’m aware of OneWeb went bankrupt and needed a bailout from UK govt and Iridium still in service, neither comes close to Starlink service)

  • fedirkryvyi Fedir Kryvyi 🇺🇦 (@fedirkryvyi) reported

Okay, now I don't get it at all. So, @elonmusk is saying that SpaceX doesn't ask for a refund for the stations and service that they have provided in Ukraine, so 120M is for further service of Starlink in Ukraine 🧵/1

  • fedirkryvyi Fedir Kryvyi 🇺🇦 (@fedirkryvyi) reported

So, it is either a 10x increase in price for Pentagon to pay, or Starlink service is heavily subsidized by other SpaceX ventures, which is technically okay, but can be a problem for US once SpaceX becomes a rural broadband choice in US but can no longer subsidize pricing 🧵/3

  • EvasTeslaSPlaid Eva McMillan ♥️ (@EvasTeslaSPlaid) reported from Merritt Island, Florida

I support Elon Musk in seeking help from the government to provide Starlink to Ukraine. @elonmusk

  • dinuturcanu Dinu Turcanu (@dinuturcanu) reported

@apmassaro3 lets not be unfair to Elon and Starlink. Ucraine got the service for free + tones of equipment. Its a business, after all. There will be solutions on a government level, or maybe inter-governments

  • doug_fowler Doug Fowler (@doug_fowler) reported

@pkeijlewer @apmassaro3 Absolutely, I don’t disagree with the costs quoted in the thread - there are many crowd-funded consumer grade terminals/service plans being used, but there is also higher grade kit and service plans in use. See Starlink Maritime for e.g.

  • CondorOnRegis3 Horpach ☢ (@CondorOnRegis3) reported

@Rebel44CZ @Semyaza666 I doubt that Starlink is viable as a buisness model without governmental support.

  • hughefc1 Hugh for NAFO (@hughefc1) reported

@Rebel44CZ The main issue I see isn’t the government contracting issue. It’s Ukrainian s bought terminals because they thought the service would be they. He created reliance on Starlink only to change the terms later.

  • Pufferfish420 🇪🇺 Beachbumfella💛 💙 (@Pufferfish420) reported

@kxstnsy @apmassaro3 Just checked: There is a business plan against bad weather. Starlink is sensitive to bad weather, clouds, humidity and all the stuff in the air.

  • PamKeithFL Pam Keith, Esq. (@PamKeithFL) reported

The government should nationalize Starlink. It’s a national security issue. Musk cannot be trusted with it.

  • arXiv6174 ది ఇంపోస్టర్ (@arXiv6174) reported

@RonFilipkowski I always thought it was a terrible idea to let private biz into stuff like #Starlink.

  • fedirkryvyi Fedir Kryvyi 🇺🇦 (@fedirkryvyi) reported

RV option of Starlink wasn't even available before the war in Ukraine, and was developed after the feedback of UA military, and now is available everywhere as a paid service 🧵/5

  • screaser Steve Reaser is watching 🇺🇦 win (@screaser) reported

@Angry_Staffer If he wants us to pay for terminals and a reasonable monthly fee for Starlink that seems fine… but reportedly he now wants $4500 / month / terminal for data service. That seems, I dunno, ridiculous? Marginal cost of that data has to be trivial…

  • PoorChase The Amafessor (@PoorChase) reported

@Elvis_Bob @MarquardtA trust me its not, matter of fact its a small part of it. But Starlink is a private company and they cant be expected to take the burden alone on their shoulders. So far they are the only one of the big data that has step in to help.

  • Wakon22 Jeffrey (@Wakon22) reported

@alexstubb @elonmusk Elon Musk’s Starlink says it can no longer afford to give Ukraine 🇺🇦 free service and asks the Pentagon 🇺🇸 to pay for it. Starlink had been a game changer in the war. This comes days after Ukrainian Ambassador @MelnykAndrij told Musk to “**** off.”

  • kapuots Anton Kapuots (@kapuots) reported

@JackLinFLL @calebmlarson @dim0kq Projects like Starlink operate at loss aiming at building asap a monopoly of some sort. The cost of the actual terminal is a fraction of the cost to operate the whole network - if that’s your question

  • JCooper459 JenX 🌻 (@JCooper459) reported

So Elon Musk goes all pro Putin with his bullshit and now suddenly he can’t help Ukraine anymore with Starlink? #rat

  • SpencerFordin Spencer Fordin (@SpencerFordin) reported

Elon Musk started out a hero to a lot of people with bullshit Tony Stark comparisons but with every Thai cave incident and Ukraine STARLINK episode the mask comes off to reveal a comic book villain instead.

  • WHATISAPLANET WHAT IS A PLANET (@WHATISAPLANET) reported

Elon Musk balks at funding Ukraine’s Starlink satellites, as envoy tells him to ‘**** off’
