@derekgilbert I think that the @elonmusk Starlink system is going to be a wonderful thing for rural users! He calls it a “better than nothing” system and my rural MO relatives have the same problems with the current offerings.

The software can be tuned to only permit the capture of objects that are under a certain velocity so that distance stars and other objects are not viewed as errors to be removed. There are limits. If Starlink has an extreme brightness level and is enough to damage the sensor

@wogglem @TrevorMahlmann Basically it be very little price difference in per month for speeds that blow mine out of the water. Currently paying like $85ish a month as we’re Starlink is like $90 or $100. Plus the biggest issue with this company is every months bill has a new price hidden fees and what not

Saw a train of Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites for the first time last night and it was pretty cool. When I saw a second set 90 minutes later, it felt rather invasive. Humans have managed to **** up everything we touch. Now even the rare pristine dark sky is gone.

@bigt00th If you make it exclusive to only Doge to trade using Starlink. Also, Starlink provides Hi Speed Internet to people globally in countries that have a poor infrastructure like poor internet access if any at all. If you have internet you can trade now.

(2/6) If you exclude internal Starlink missions this drops down to 8 launches per year, in any case far behind Musk's "business model" and expectations. Gwynne Shotwell expected a 50% increase for 2018, of course this didn't happen either.
