  @Canada4Canada2 @JELKK11 This so far has beaten mario run, which is HUGE due to Mario being such a figure in the gaming industry. and brushing all crash fans as too childish and toxic to even know what success is is kinda over the top to say.

  Mario Run is also affected. However Dr. Mario World didn't have the issue (ironic, that the game will shut down in two weeks)

  @ZFighterAmuro @HatokTalk Love how at least when I last used iOS, most of the top reviews of Mario Run had words to the effect of "scam" in them. On an app store that has a serious and ever-present problem with actual scam apps.

  Why not indeed? I think it's an interesting phenomenon that even developers and publishers generally see mobile games as basically the lowest-heap trash tier by now without anyone really wondering if this sad reality could be turned into an opportunity instead. And I think what ultimately drives that change is that - clearly - things have changed. Consoles aren't cheap alternatives to PCs anymore. And building a PC is pretty goddamn expensive right now. At the same time, mobile hardware has improved at a rapid pace to the point where the AAA games we're playing on consoles right now could likely also be delivered without too many issues on hardware you already own. So the question becomes: Do mobile games always have to ship as crappy cashgrab versions of their higher quality brethren? My point being: Why would anybody play e.g. Diablo Immortal where you're being squeezed by Blizzard in typical mobile-game fashion if a game like No Rest for the Wicked delivers a better experience without any of that crazy stuff? Why would anybody play Clash of Clans and keep buying MTX if my little Luma delivers a vastly better experience and doesn't constantly ask you to flash your credit card? We've seen something similar happen 20 years ago when piracy was taken for granted by everybody until Apple and Steam came along and delivered better alternatives. And usually if you actually give people a better alternative, surprise, they might just be happy to support that. I think all of this is extremely interesting and exciting and I think while some others have tried to fix this issue before (Like Nintendo with Super Mario Run), I'd still argue that it's always been a bit of a half-hearted effort. But let's not praise the day before the night. It's entirely possible that nobody will care and in that case, not much was lost. But there's an opportunity here worth seizing.

  Hey @NintendoUK I uninstalled super Mario run from my iPhone and just re installed it for some nostalgia! It’s weirdly now created a new ‘user’ and won’t let me connect to my Nintendo account. My tickets, buildings etc are also gone! Error 804-3985

  @Rei_Sh0 I'm well aware of all issues with Sonic 06, but it's usually considered the worst Sonic game even though a most of them suck. Mario Run is usually considered the worst Mario game, which is why I compare them. I don't count games like Hotel Mario.

  @Jadenfire @JosephR56698859 @NintendoAmerica Nintendo made that decision with Mario Run BECAUSE people on mobile devices do waaay to much pirating on them :V especially Android it's a big problem, and nintendo did that to ensure people wouldn't pirate it

  @Mevans2703 @Kutairo_ Just checked, no where on the Mario wiki, nor the normal wiki, does it say Super Mario Run is a mainline game. Mario Kart Tour’s entry on the Mario wiki does, however the reference for it links to an error page so...

  Mama Balloo Switch update: I got on the phone with her because she was stuck on Mario Odyssey, had no idea "how to make mario run." I kept telling her: it's just the left joystick. That's it. If the joystick isn't working let me know because I'll need to get an exchange for you.

  It’s funny to me how people still complain about micro transactions in free mobile games! If the game was $10 with no micro transactions know one would buy it, look at Mario Run! The consumer has created the problem. The dev’s need to make money if they can’t get any up front 🤷🏽

  @ENemtsas @DynamoSuperX The issue is that Tour seems much more akin to a spin off, just as Pokemon Go, Mario Run and AC Pocket Camp are. It would be like if they released another Arcade game and people said "look, we got a new Mario Kart game!" Or the same with Home Circuit.

  @Patrick_ORourke I think the problem that Mario Run had was that it was designed for an era of mobile games that had already passed by 2016. Think it could have been huge if it had come out, say, three years earlier.

  There has one guy at Nintendo who just REALLY loves Mario Run, against all reason this game is somehow still randomly getting new updates and its amazing. I wish that guy at Nintendo also really loved Crash Twinsanity and randomly made a full remake of it......

  @gillythekidYT It should have stayed a mobile game. If this was a spinoff title like super Mario run, there'd be no problem, but people have wanted a true sequel for a decade. At least The End is Nigh exists.

  @JELKK11 @Canadianguyehh Mario Run had alot of downloads as well. Nobody wanted to pay to do the same thing over and over. It wasn't a success. This will be no different. Crash fans are just too toxic and childish to know what defines success

  @_kairy_draws_ Everyone being all upset about the crack not healing, just give him a 1-up and make mario run into him while he's using the Star invincibility. He then respawns due to the 1-up perfectly fine, problem solved. Unless he likes the aesthetic of having a shattered ******* skull.

  @gruber @twadds This is 100% the issue! I have Mario Run installed and it’s labeled as MARIO RUN. So every time I type the word “Mario” it tries to replace it with all caps. I talk video games with my friends all the time. It’s incredibly annoying.

  @somari8591 Fair enough but like it still doesn’t fix the issue that Mario is just as nostalgia heavy as Sonic a lot of the time. Let’s not forget NSMB exists. Or 3D World. Or Mario Run.

  @vjw2005 @SyrupBay But at least Daisy appeared in Super Mario Run and Mario Maker which are her 2nd and 3rd Mainline installment appearances. They should just have her show up whenever Peach does so they can fix this mess.

  @KPooper2005 It still gets updates, but the amount of new content it gets is at a rate so slow that a lot of people have moved to other games. but at least it wouldn't do an event as small as the one in Mario Run.

  @Magaska19 Microtransactions will kill this game as quickly as it killed Mario Run. Imagine paying to run the same courses over and over and over and over . Such a terrible game. Crash didn't need this crap

  My Mario 64 replay got 20 stars in, at which point I determined I should probably keep working towards finishing my Black Eagle run in FE3H before Animal Crossing and P5R later this month. Yeah so happy #MarioDay I'm going back to weeb games lol

  @LordCalka @Silverxsx @Fortnite They were Nintendo developed exceptions. Mobile games =/= 3rd party collabs. Mario Kart Tour will shut servers down soon. Any other mobile game that isnt Super Mario Run either shut down or got a paid offline version. Except Pictonico as thats very new and also paid. Pokèmon is

  Well #SGDQ2021 has broken my brain. Starting a paper mario run by playing zelda oot. Doing crazy stuff till it crashes then swapping cartridges.
