Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
uhhhhhhh (@verge2pogenos) reportedseeing mario run tweets on the timeline, cannot believe nintendos plan to revive it is working
-
nathan (parody) (@flurryboi) reported@ArloStuff Nintendo has not put out a single bad mobile game recently except maybe Pikmin Bloom. The problem comes from people expecting a console game level of depth from said mobile games, which was never the intent. MK Tour, Mario Run, PKMN GO, FE Heroes, etc were all good mobile games
-
Stuffily (@stuffilyagain) reportedi meant mario run but im not gonna fix it
-
Yonder (@yonder_yoshi) reported@TamaTheYoshi @LinkyYoshi19 Yes, Super Mario Run is actually really fun. I 100% it. Its no gacha game, unlikr Mario Kart Tour, it doesnt make progression slow in the name of inapp purchases. It lets you do world 1 and toad rally (with only red and green toads) for free else 10 US$ to unlock full version.

thomasmahler (@thomasmahler) reportedWhy not indeed? I think it's an interesting phenomenon that even developers and publishers generally see mobile games as basically the lowest-heap trash tier by now without anyone really wondering if this sad reality could be turned into an opportunity instead. And I think what ultimately drives that change is that - clearly - things have changed. Consoles aren't cheap alternatives to PCs anymore. And building a PC is pretty goddamn expensive right now. At the same time, mobile hardware has improved at a rapid pace to the point where the AAA games we're playing on consoles right now could likely also be delivered without too many issues on hardware you already own. So the question becomes: Do mobile games always have to ship as crappy cashgrab versions of their higher quality brethren? My point being: Why would anybody play e.g. Diablo Immortal where you're being squeezed by Blizzard in typical mobile-game fashion if a game like No Rest for the Wicked delivers a better experience without any of that crazy stuff? Why would anybody play Clash of Clans and keep buying MTX if my little Luma delivers a vastly better experience and doesn't constantly ask you to flash your credit card? We've seen something similar happen 20 years ago when piracy was taken for granted by everybody until Apple and Steam came along and delivered better alternatives. And usually if you actually give people a better alternative, surprise, they might just be happy to support that. I think all of this is extremely interesting and exciting and I think while some others have tried to fix this issue before (Like Nintendo with Super Mario Run), I'd still argue that it's always been a bit of a half-hearted effort. But let's not praise the day before the night. It's entirely possible that nobody will care and in that case, not much was lost. But there's an opportunity here worth seizing.

Super Sonic x (@SuperSonicx17) reported@LordCalka @Silverxsx @Fortnite They were Nintendo developed exceptions. Mobile games =/= 3rd party collabs. Mario Kart Tour will shut servers down soon. Any other mobile game that isnt Super Mario Run either shut down or got a paid offline version. Except Pictonico as thats very new and also paid. Pokèmon is

Canadian Guy Eh (@Canadianguyehh) reported@Canada4Canada2 @JELKK11 This so far has beaten mario run, which is HUGE due to Mario being such a figure in the gaming industry. and brushing all crash fans as too childish and toxic to even know what success is is kinda over the top to say.
-
🎮°Renny • GamerGirl™°🎨 (@Rennygamergirl) reported@vjw2005 @SyrupBay But at least Daisy appeared in Super Mario Run and Mario Maker which are her 2nd and 3rd Mainline installment appearances. They should just have her show up whenever Peach does so they can fix this mess.
-
Ser Dumbass of the ******* realm (@randomcitizen49) reportedWHAT WAS THAT PAPER MARIO RUN WHAT ******** JUST HAPPENED??? ******* 75 hammers and then crash the game and then credits? Bc he played OoT first? N64 is wild
-
Jarno Eskola (@jaeskola) reportedHi, I have a problem with Super Mario Run (Android). I try to link the app to a Nintendo Account but an error message appear. The support code is 804-7912.
-
Minty (@MintyIndustrial) reportedPhew thank god I’m not the only one who appears to be having problems with the App Store. I wonder what ******** happened. I thought a lot of the things I was searching for was deleted. The only stuff that popped up was Super Mario Run
-
SavagePoodle (@PoodleSavage) reported@eriktuf @Cakemations1 @Canadianguyehh I'm gonna try to explain this simply. First game. Big sales. 2nd game lower sales. 3rd game even lower sales. Mobile game. Everyone downloaded few paid money. I wouldn't call it a success but mario run 2.0. Now DLC rumors. That's a downhill slope to the third death of Crash.
-
Ke-Niceeee (@KeSosaaa) reported@JJ_300_ @daewaex2 lol I watched Mario run off 30 seconds, call a timeout then punt, them issues *****, be real
-
Chris @ Crown Tundra (@Tsukento) reported@KeikakuKat The problem is how they go about monetizing it. They tried the buy a game method and it didn't work well for Super Mario Run.
-
Thousand Year 🚪 (@ThousandYrGames) reported@Photonerd96 @El_Texicano Now do a Danger Mario run, complete the Trouble Center, fight Atomic Boo, and clear the Pit of 100 Trials.
-
Hiccup (@HiccupJul) reportedreally stupid that they won't enable offline usage. this is why i never bought (and therefore cannot play) super mario run - eventually, the game is going to stop working if someone doesn't develop an unofficial server emulator. and that's not been done for SMR yet.
-
J 🧣 (@AstralDreams8) reported@mockeryofortuna I already had 300, then adding my Mario run account to my Nintendo added 100, then I just did daily challenges plus the sign in bonus and got 500 :) it didn’t take much time at all!
-
Julian A. Silva (@manofdays39) reportedI can only imagine someone in Nintendo going, “We put her in Smash! And Super Mario Run! We even gave her a Crash Bandicoot double jump! We’re only human, you fanatics!”
-
Planpino (@planpino) reported@elliotduby OH NO GUYS THE COPS ARE COMING Hey Sonic! JUMP!!!! MARIO RUN!!!!!!! HURRY POKÉMON GO!!!!!!! CRASH IS ON THE RUN!!!!
-
Entropy (@Da_Big_Cheez) reported@_kairy_draws_ Everyone being all upset about the crack not healing, just give him a 1-up and make mario run into him while he's using the Star invincibility. He then respawns due to the 1-up perfectly fine, problem solved. Unless he likes the aesthetic of having a shattered ******* skull.
-
✸ Voyager (@Fire_Voyager) reported@Hamada_520 Yeah, Not even Mario can save a mediocre game, even Mario Run had a lot of trouble. So in the article I wanted to show examples of games that could had a skin of those franchises and still be fun.
-
Daniel Kaszor (@dkaszor) reported@Patrick_ORourke I think the problem that Mario Run had was that it was designed for an era of mobile games that had already passed by 2016. Think it could have been huge if it had come out, say, three years earlier.
-
Aha07 (@Aha07Aha07) reportedOH NO GUYS THE COPS ARE COMING Hey Sonic! Dash !!!! MARIO RUN!!!!!!! HURRY POKÉMON GO!!!!!!! CRASH IS ON THE RUN!!!!
-
Cart McCloud (@CartridgeGames) reportedSuper Mario Run is very good with Tezuka and Miyamoto both seemingly involved and massive mainstream marketing - underperformed Animal crossing had to be rebooted since it wasn’t working out, still didn’t work out. Fire emblem is their only success and it’s awful
-
Person108 (@PersonthePerso2) reported@mr_evaporation I genuinely would rather play Mario Run or Sonic Speed Battle, yeah that last one was grindy but at the same time it felt like I was getting somewhere, when I played Crash on the Run I felt weirdly trapped in a way
-
Sky... 2! (@Taco_Night_) reportedThere was definitely a time when Nintendo just let Mario run rampant. Do ANYTHING. Make WHATEVER you want up, have some Goomba OCs, maybe the Koopalings sing, just have fun with it, that's what Mario's about!! Now it's more like "THERE ARE STRICT RULES WHICH CAN NEVER BE BROKEN"
-
KRIS MEETS W🌎RLD (@krismeetsworld) reported from Doctor Phillips, Florida@schmelty @SuperWeenieHtJr So your issue with Smugglers Run is that the buttons are in their accurate spot, as they would be in the films and require you to look back n forth from the viewport and the controls, just like characters would in the movies. FYI: Never seen a four seater Mario Kart before.
-
Infinite8 (@TinTinfinite) reportedMario Run is also affected. However Dr. Mario World didn't have the issue (ironic, that the game will shut down in two weeks)
-
- ̗̀ Tuddy ̖́- (@tudsworthington) reported@HatokTalk A realisation I just had that’s arguably worse : the lesson Nintendo took from Mario Run wasn’t “the mobile market is broken stop paying it attention”, the lesson they took was to become just as bad as everybody else, if not worse because you know they can do better.

jemmabrown (@jemmabrown) reported from Southampton, EnglandHey @NintendoUK I uninstalled super Mario run from my iPhone and just re installed it for some nostalgia! It’s weirdly now created a new ‘user’ and won’t let me connect to my Nintendo account. My tickets, buildings etc are also gone! Error 804-3985
