@squiddlypip I think it's because some data issues to do with WhatsApp, and that it's owned by Facebook (although it has been for quite a while), and ironically, a lot of people are complaining about this issue... ta da... on facebook. Telegram is more secure / better encrypted or something

My phone just screwed up really bad while on telegram and I lost almost all of my stickers and chats... though it saved my gifs??? I'm too tired to deal with this right now, if anyone can someone help me tomorrow when I wake up. If your chat was removed it's not intentional.

@shunalishroff Investigative agencies are always going to get the messages if a device is handed over, unlocked, to them, willingly or due to coercion. Its true of any service Signal/WA/Telegram/iMessage. Of the two parties any one party handing it over, defeats the sophisticated encryption.

@auerfeld @DoubleJake Yeah was just thinking, if it was down to them using WhatsApp or Telegram for that purpose I'm almost unsure which is worse. Does Signal handle large group chats okay? Never been in one with more than a dozen people. Wire is okay but they are going full corporate.

But Telegram has a history of being hacked and started off with their own home-rolled security protocol which in the industry is a big NO-NO. But they did it anyway and have had multiple hacks and recently a privacy issue as well. Signal has not.

@hasufl Pseudonymous founders: yes, big plus. I’d note however that HTTP websites can have anonymous founders as well Based outside of the US: didn’t really help many of these past projects unfortunately (see telegram, Kik, etc)

Hey @TokenPocket_TP your app having issue. It always failed when i try to create any wallet. Another users lost their funds Also there is no any customer support in telegram. Admin telegram group is not online in couple hours

@appleaddicto Was only a matter of time before Facebooks privacy measures seeped into WhatsApp. The only issue I find atm is my contacts don’t use a more secure messaging app like Signal or Telegram. Wish the uptick was bigger, but WhatsApp’s market share is so large.
