1. I asked Telus why they couldn't route customers' 911 calls onto competitors. 2. They said there was no competition in the canyon & blamed Rogers/Shaw 3. I noted that Virgin customers (like me) can get service in the canyon via the Bell network. 4. They ignored that.

@TELUS pushy marketing tactics borders on harassment. They have not stopped peddling their copper is going away message by phone and email. Read your notes and stop harassing me or I’ll make a consumer complaint with CRTC.

Heard from a reader with some first-hand knowledge that Bell's fibre/network in the canyon might not be able to help provide 911 when Telus service is knocked out. Which is more than Telus was able to tell me.

@TELUSsupport I’ve been trying to speak to someone for 2 days now. The wait is over an hour and the system hangs up on you after 7:30pm. Very poor customer service! Why no call back option? #telus #poorcustomerservice

Dear @TELUS, your overseas phone centers are terrible. I get that you're trying to save a buck, but your service has gone downhill since you moved your support lines from Canada.

@TELUS @telus help me understand how it costs me $100 per month more to upgrade an existing line, but if I add a new line, I can get a better deal? As a long time Telus customer, do I not deserve to have the best pricing available?

Telus said they would normally route service through a backup fibre line, but those were also impacted by fire. That suggests some level of redundancy. But 911 service has now been knocked out 3 times in the canyon in the last 10 months. Which... does not.
