"We are getting to a point where not answering your phone is the safest thing to do" These scam calls are so common, and usually involve the scammers spoofing a local number to help fool the victim. Somehow @TELUS is unable (or unwilling) to do anything about number spoofing 😑

@SERobinsonJr Is this a joke post? What kind of idiot would saddle themselves with $70+ tax internet for a $120 one-time saving when many providers, including Telus, are cheaper?

@EvanLSolomon Is this the same Telus that built the prescribeIT thing that is being wound down? Why give them more money? Give it to young engineers who aren’t bound by lame corporate handcuffs

@JayJanower You are saying on Matt show you have it on authority Caps lost 40 million per year ? Aside from this year player wages were 14 m so total budget at max for caps would be 40m ish. that’s poor/lazy reporting to think they lost that much ? 🍎Tv is 8m/yr Telus is 4 m/yr

@bears_aware I fail to understand how this is an immigrant’s fault. Bell Telus Roger’s are hiring them to do this, point is that economy is in distress, all the companies are trying adopt methods that may be unusual to the Canadian culture. So stop shooting the messenger, target the source.

@dewolfe001 @TELUS @telusmobility Crazy, I recently had the same experience! Cancelled business lines last August, kept billing me, totalling over $3500. Had to fight for a month to get it back. Also told me I owed $900 for my iPhone still, it was half that. Terrible company. Switched to Rogers, half the price, better service.

@JsonBasedman @TheGeorgePu @TELUS I would rather have seen that money go to proven research cases, but then of course there is a lot of potential for fraud Point being we have talent here and I don’t see how Telus isn’t going to make it it more accessible for them Many researchers are stuck renting from RunPod and similar providers or else self funding The question is who is this supposed to benefit I don’t see Telus acquiring prime locations and getting a break on taxes as beneficial to Canadians (this is the same company who is in trouble for using AI to cover up their telephone rep’s accents) They certainly aren’t going to make the cost of inference cheaper - we are already way behind and the cost has gone up, which means Telus is paying a premium Canadian startups are better off buying used GPUs at this point

@janelleybelley3 I can handle my own but I can't imagine a single woman alone having either of these 2 creeps coming into her home. Always have another person whenever Telus sends a rep. The 2nd rep was trying to get feely with me, gave me his card & said call anytime I like everything WTF gag
