@paaulpaarker It’s crazy to me how difficult the Canadian carriers have made it to get an eSIM. TELUS still charges $10 for one! Freedom Mobile, possibly the worst carrier in the country, at least allows you to sign in and generate one through the account interface.

One thing power outages are good for is to remind us how bad @Bell @Rogers @Telus are failing in providing adequate cell coverage to rural areas. At least NS Power has crews out working when an outage occurs, but Cell cos... its BAU.

@lumin8 Like I said each to their own,circumstances unknown,I use cameras myself; they are useless when not working conveniently on days when things stolen,or when people at doors & now, no sound to be able to hear or respond Telus crap one big lie after another had 13 tech here useless

@jphayman One more possibility. Broken geolocation locking. TSN app would not stream for me on Telus phone in New Brunswick this summer, but did when I fired up a VPN to a home server in Ontario. That obviously shouldn’t be necessary.
